Food was amazing, especially the BBQ ribs. Staff really friendly and polite. I would definitely recommend.

Booked up for Sunday lunch whilst on holiday, a lovely well run pub. We started with soup and prawn cocktail, we both had roast beef which came with nearly every veg God made, all cooked perfect, lovely beef as well, roasties were perfect, my wife had cauliflower cheese which i dont like but she said it was outstanding. The service was outstanding, all the young people serving were so helpful and polite, must single out the ginger headed boy ( you know who you are) it was his 2nd shift and i would give him 5 stars just for entertainment. Must mention the lady in charge, i like different beer glasses and asked the young lad if i could have one and the lady brought out a brand new one for me, great customer service, i must add i put a donation in the charity box. Great food, great service, that`s what it`s all about.

We have supported this place for many years and ordered prawn sweet corn soup - on this occasion an elderly lady indicated after order and a long 15 minute wait - place was dead - to tell me they never do prawn sweetcorn soup - sadly less than 3 weeks ago they did - this time called s liar snd charged £4 extra each - so £15 for soup - i will never return

Ordered 5 meals yesterday most of the items were overcooked had no seasoning the crackers were sweet the chips were burnt and dry like they were yesterday's. I can honestly say that I haven't had a Chinese like this I didn't even finish my main meal what a shame. The only part of the mill that was okay was the board rice. Stay away waste of money.

Nice to see an open kitchen at work, a couple of visits now and everything was good. Various menu items at a modest price.

Sweet and sour pork balls!!!! Were cheap mince in overly battered balls of heartattack , Crispy shredded beef??? Just white in look dry as a desert, no beef just dried up bits of deep fried batter with a couple of diced up chillies amd raw onion. Won't go again, shame, due to all the good comments. Our evening meal was ruined thanx

Yet another pleasant visit to Stranraer, topped off with a meal at Sun Kai. Couldn't have been better, tastie food and friendly hospitable staff.

We were really looking forward to our meal from Sun Kai as an end of holiday treat....sadly the best thing about the food was the microwave safe containers it came in! Rice was salty and hard, prawns were tough and in awful batter and the chow mein had overcooked noodles and undercooked everything else and was really tasteless. I can't believe it's gone so bad in only a year. We won't be back and if I could give minus stars, I would.
