Oriental Harbour in Gosport

Normally it's not too bad fron here , however me and the wife have just had the saltiest chow mein we have ever had , i swear a pot must have fallen in it , noodles were cold and rubbery. Chips , garlic and chilli as always were nice , but after a few average dishes likley to consider elsewhere next time

The food is always hot and lovely the lady asking the is a top lady because I got hard of hearing she is always polite and and happy to help keep up the good work oriental harbour staff you are the best

Hi guys Ordered from here for a change as was open on Monday (alot of Chinese takeaways are closed on a Monday) and 3m drive from my wife's work. Pleased to say it was a great choice. They boast of no MSG or GM which is a plus, and upon arrival the takeaway looked clean, and the girl om reception very polite and friendly!! Can't fault the food, which was crisp, plentiful and flavoursome ( had house special Chow mein, mixed balls, Pancake roll, sweet'n' sour) A takeaway especially Chinese is never going to match a restaurant where it's literally wok to plate, so I do tether my opinions accordingly Give it a go!

First time using this restaurant tonight. Food was beautiful, plenty of it, great portions, will definitely be using in future. Highly recommended

Their menu states everything is "cooked freshly and professionally " however when we ordered a delivery they said they had run out of rice (!!!!!!) We rang back with an amended order & we queried them running out of rice. The lady said they had rice but it wasn't cooked yet (?) On further questioning it transpired they pre-cook it and reheat it for orders!!! So not "freshly cooked" as advertised! This makes me wonder if ANYTHING is freshly cooked at all!!! So they obviously just bang it in a microwave! The orders usually arrive within about 10 mins of ordering so this would support that theory! Won't be ordering from then anymore!!!! Lying to customers!

Best Chinese Takeaway around, wouldn't go anywhere else!

Staff were very polite. Food however, was more than disappointing! Absolutley tasteless. Worst Chinese food we've ever tasted. Had sweet an sour chicken balls (sauce bland no taste) chips (overcooked an been sitting around a while), bbq spare ribs with bbq sauce (their was a layer of oil on top of the sauce), chow mein that was oilly an tasted of nothing, curry sauce that didnt taste of anything. I could of made that Chinese myself an it would have tasted so much better!

After waiting 2 hours for delivery, the food was cold, the chips were inedible, the spring rolls had an off taste & the chow mien was really bland. Won’t use again

Service was good, was delivered in good time but none of the food had much flavour, all tasted bland.

Should have got a microwave meal from Lidl, I’ve Never seen guey runny chicken before, and they blamed it on the cornflour, said it’s normal, 😑 Mingers !!!!

Only Chinese that doesn't use MSGand you can really taste that in the food. Always quick with the service too. Would recommend over any others in the area!

We have only just started using this brilliant Chinese all of the meals we have had have been extremely tasty and plentiful, with the added bonus of no MSG,s! The staff are absolutely brilliant and the prices are extremely good. There is absolutely nothing I can fault with this Chinese/Thai takeaway! I recommend all the dishes we have had however, excellent value for money is the Gourmet Mixed Hors D"oeuvers for 2 at £8.80 to compliment any of their mains.

I ordered Beef in black bean sauce and the beef was stringy and very chewy- not worth getting. The chicken satay skewers were very bland and had no flavour what so ever, very unhappy and will not be ordering from here again.

Really not very good at all. Peking spring rolls were worse than store-bought spring rolls I have had. Salt and pepper Prawns had no sauce very dry and very salty. Egg fried rice was bland and looked as if it was cooked in container in microwave. Will not be getting take away again. Very disappointed and not worth £30 at all! Worse chinese we have ever had.

Got order wrong wasnt willing to come out and deliver the correct order. Asked for a refund which happened and took ages. I had to sit without a meal and watch my family eat theres. Not good customer service would avoid at all cost

Worst customer survive ever!!! Wrong order turned up. Called them back, woman admitted Was there fault. But wanted more money to re deliver what I wanted.. Added up order and was over charged.. Stay away from this place... Asked to speak to manager and hung up phone... Never use them again... Stick to kam too chinese...plus chicken is reformed not fresh...

Cleanest, tastiest chinese i've ever had. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Can be busy but busy for a reason and worth the wait.

Barely edible because far too salty 🥴 plain chow mein, plain rice and mixed vegetables. Others say not gloopy but ours was ☹

Lady on the phone was friendly. And the delivery driver was too.delivery was fast and here within 20 minutes. I ordered a chicken curry which the chicken was really rubbery unfortunately. The egg fried rice just seemed like boiled rice with a small bit of egg in lol. The chips were lovely though. Think I'll stick to Mr woon.

Excellent food always good, sometimes a wait for delivery but the quality of food makes it worthwhile.

well what to start of with. As someone with a lot of allergies I have to be picky with what I can and cannot eat. When told about a certain allergy I have the lady on the end of the phone was really helpful and made double sure that my food would be prepared with out worry to me. it is one of the cleanest places I've been in. with an open kitchen that you can watch them cook your food. all nicely freshly prepared. On top of the covid rules. Its a must for anyone to try! All the staff Brilliant!

Ordering over the phone was easy and the order was ready in 15 mins as promised. Very friendly and the food was piping hot, delicous and a decent portion size. We would highly recommend Oriental Harbour.

First try here. Had our usual crispy duck & pancakes, lush. Then tofu and veg in spicy sauce, not much tofu but veg cooked just right. Egg fried rice portion was huge such a waste. Great prawn crackers thin & not greasy like normal. Will try again

It is so great to find Chinese food that you can taste. No msg means no claggy salty gloop. So good and friendly too.

We love how fresh everything tastes, and that it isn't dripping in grease. We also love how friendly and accommodating they are over the phone. We haven't had a bad meal from here, and the lack of MSG means we dont toss and turn all night either.

Was vile to the point I gave my dog the chicken and even he brought it straight back up!!! Never order from here again.. worst takeaway ever!!!!

Lovely food, one of the best Chinese I have had

I can't eat msg and no decent Chinese should use it anyway, but they all do...apart from this one. I have never had a bad one from here/ Because they dont rely on msg to enhance the food they cook it properly with bags of natural flavour from the food. No more salty claggy taste. Highly recommended.

Fabulous freshly cooked Chinese - open kitchen so you can see the chefs in action. I travel 20 mile round trip because its so good!!

We have tried several takeaways/deliveries in Gosport and nearly always find an abundance of onions used as fillers. Spring rolls with inch thick batter and cabbage filling!! However, the meals we ordered from here were not like this! The spring roll was the best we have had since Tim closed the Kwok Wah. Cash payment on delivery is a nuisance. Will return.

Ordered crispy duck an pancakes and BBQ spare ribs ,the ribs are very tender which was good , the BBQ sauce is more like a strange gravy , probably authentic but I didn't like it. Next the duck, I did read a review saying don't bother with it but I thought maybe it was a one off , anyway talk about dry !!! , thinly pre diced an over chopped. Wish lams was open on a Monday.. 🙄

Really disappointed, I have ordered the chow mien from here before and it’s been ok. ordered a couple of dishes tonight and just lacked flavour. The meat was ok but I ordered the Wandering Dragon and this was supposed to be a garlic and oyster sauce dish but I did not get any of these flavours just a bland dry taste. Egg fried rice was a joke a few chunks of fried egg in boiled rice?? Such a shame as thought I had finally found a decent Chinese in gosport but will not be ordering from here again.

Excellent. By far the best Chinese takeaway in Gosport.

We had a family birthday gathering of 14 people and being a Monday, our usual Chinese (Golden Star) was closed. Having had a menu put through the door we gave Oriental Harbour a go. Well we weren’t disappointed. Our large order of food arrived on time, nice and hot, and every dish was tasty. The whole family loved it and we all will be ordering again and again.

All I can say this is my favourite Chinese take away.... I have had a variety of Chinese dishes and have to say I've never actually had a bad one!

Ordered from here as saw the reviews were ok. Received more bone then duck, DIDNT get the hoisin sauce, cucumber or spring onion that your supposed to get. Highly disappointed and won’t be getting from here again!!

Best Chinese in Gosport and they don’t use (MSG) or Artificial colours like all the rest of Chinese’s that do. The Singapore rice noodles and king prawn dishes are the best never to greasy. The only thing that is a negative is that they don’t use card payment over phone only in store they need to definitely do this..

Always lovely tasty food with good variety of food choices. We have been going here for past 5 yrs or so. Only criticism is sometimes they forget a sauce or soup from our order, but this is always reinbursed with our next order.

Ordered a chicken curry tonight expecting proper chicken as I was told they do it. I was extremely disappointed when it arrived and turned out to be the reformed chicken that many other Chinese takeaways use. The chicken in the chicken balls is spot on but the curried chicken was awful. It was like squishy rubber and I wasn't happy. Won't be ordering again.

This is the first time..I will add the last time I will order from here..chicken curry tasteless chicken seemed processed..chow mein not enough bean sprouts..the chips just like normal chips not chinese type chips

Always receive lovely food from here, good size portions and delivery has always been fast! So much to choose from too. It's definitely value for money. The extra large fried rice come in big round tubs so there's plenty to go round.

Absolutely love this place! Amazing food always, last night I ordered the chicken with honey& garlic and omg I’ve ever tasted anything like it! It’s amazing, the most increbile thing I have ever eaten, 10/10 would order again, arrived in 30 minutes still piping hot! Cooked to perfection! Could not have wished for better food! Not greasy or fatty at all. This is now our regular Chinese, if I could make one change it would be paying by card over the phone and not cash on delivery but other than that is it perfect!! Thankyou!

This is an altogether excellent Chinese takeaway. There is a wide choice of dishes and it is all cooked in plain view. They will always adjust a dish to suit your preference if they can. Allways found them to helpful and friendly. Very fortunate to have such a good place nearby.
