The best restaurants serving British food in Tenby: South Pembrokeshire West Wales

We went as a family tonight food was lovely and loads of it definitely value for money

Our first breakfast out since Dec 2020 and we were very disappointed. We weren't greeted by any staff when entering, many if them didn't even acknowledge us. My drinks order was wrong, I ordered a mocha and was brought a latte but out of politeness and due to the amount of people there I didn't say anything. Food was extremely poor. I ordered eggs benedict and after a 30 minute wait my partner and I were brought another tables food. When ours eventually arrived, my eggs benedict had serano ham (rather than normal ham which it did not state on the menu) which I don't eat. Both pieces of my toast were rock solid, only one piece of toast had hollandaise sauce on (which the sauce itself was like water) and both of my poached eggs were hard. My partner had a BLT which mostly consisted of excessive amounts of lettuce and not much else. We were so looking forward to being able to dine out for breakfast again but were both left pretty disappointed by both the food and the service.

Great ice cream selection. Man working there was lovely. Other staff didn’t acknowledge us. Very unorganised place- our order came in drips-and-drabs. Very expensive for what we had- tried to check the recipe was right but there was no items listed on it. It’s okay as a cafe but wouldn’t visit again.

AVOID. Popped in for a Flat White and wish I hadn’t bothered, expensive and hands down the rudest woman serving I have ever come across. See photo. Clearly hasn’t got a clue to make a decent drink and when I returned to (politely) ask for the milk to be frothed, the staff member spooned some in 🤣 No words..and add in the the look she gave to her colleague when handing it back to me 🤦🏻‍♂️ I will never return to be treated like that and I would advise anyone else to walk further up the hill for a proper coffee and some actual customer service. See other reviews that clearly highlight the same. A shame too given the location..

Cracking hotel with a great owner(Karen) and staff,nothing was to much trouble.Gave spot on information regarding the train times(station 30 second walk away)Ditto taxi info.Ate evening meal twice and was good quality at an affordable price,breakfast was also very good and plentiful. My room was clean and warm on arrival and everything worked as it should.This is a short walk from the golden beach, through the golf course,you can then take a leisurely stroll into Tenby.All in all a fantastic stay and will be back.The hotel really is in a prime spot to explore the coast all the way to Pembroke and beyond. Remember,diesel on the chain.

Nice place in Tenby to go for a breakfast, especially if your vegan or vegetarian. The vegan breakfast was tasty and well proportioned. The latte was also nice.

We were looking forward to our Sunday lunch as 2years previously it was lovely. Unfortunately on this occasion not so good. We arrived at 12 and was told by the waitress that we were 1 minute early but she should be able to table us! Not a good start ! Especially my mum in law being disabled with a walker ! We got served quickly and some of us ordered a gin, the glasses were cheap looking, not the bowl style you would normally get with a gin and with no straw. The food came and all ours wasn't warm enough .Only one of us asked for it to be heated, the rest of us didn't want to make a fuss sending all plates back, but it affected our experience as it was cold before we got to the end of the meal. The leek was greasy, potatoes felt warmed up didn't know if it was supposed to be roast or boiled it looked a bit of both and the yorkshire pudding which we were charged extra for was also greasy. The meat and orher veg was nice but we could have had more meat. Oncw my mother in law had put her last mouthful in the waitress came to ask if we had finished We were all paying seperate and that turned into a long drawn out fiasco. I'm hoping that this is a one off but I feel standards have slipped unfortunately. I hope others didn't experience the same aa us. Shame as I would have like to send a good review.

Good atmosphere, very busy. Unfortunately one staff member was very rude and charged me for 4 drinks when I asked for a slice of lemon not lemonade top! Shouting at me to say that I should have said! Still charged me £14 for 3 drinks.

We hadn't planned eating in Tenby. We stumbled on this restaurant and were welcomed by the friendly barmaid. Our fish and chips dishes were served quickly. The fish, salad and chips were nicely presented and tasty. Reasonable prices. A good find.

Popped in for a drink whilst visiting Tenby. Warm welcome and fab range of drinks. A relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Will definitely be returning the next time we are in the area. Keep up the good work and see you again soon!

Sorry, not impressed. The sticky rice was so coagulated I could not cut though it, and my husband had to tackle sawing it for me. There was very little chicken within the Thai meal. My husband enjoyed his meal, where the rice seemed ok.

Nice tea and coffee. According to my mother, yhe cakes were lovely too! The staff are the jewel in the crown that makes this place worth visiting. Welcomed us and our dogs, to the point where we felt like we could stay all day!

Sadly our experience doesn’t match the many positive ones on the website. We waited an hour and a quarter for our food and when it did arrive, I can honestly say it was the worst steak I’ve ever been served … so overcooked and so tough! Will not be returning.

I booked through booking .com had to pay extra £20 for dogs fair enough got there room had not been Hooverd at all I have small fawn pug dog and ting non mounting x pug walls in bathroom covered in long black dog hair loads of same on carped and even bedding didn’t complain my own fault electric switches weren’t working for over an hr offered a free coffee don’t drink coffee awful room staff are fab bar staff and awesome location is the best it is having a renovation but that don’t excuse dirty room

Great site, well located, not too far to walk into Tenby. I love Tenby though so maybe a biased opinion.
