The girl at the reception was quite rude , not welcoming at all . Didn’t smile . The room in on a very busy road , if you open the window then you hear constant loud noise all night long . And if it’s a Friday night then even worse .

Popped into this place on a whim and was seriously impressed. For a franchised pub, it punches way above its weight—cheap prices, decent atmosphere, and the food was genuinely good (the burger was spot on, and the chips were crispy perfection). What really stood out though was the pint—properly poured, ice cold, and easily one of the best I’ve had in a while. To top it off, there was a bit of a scuffle outside (nothing too crazy), and the manager handled it like a total pro—calm, firm, and diffused the situation before it got out of hand. You could tell the team respected her and the customers felt safe. All in all, a solid pub. Will definitely be back.

The food tasted delicious and the service was second was so lovely and friendly. Could not recommend the Goose & Cuckoo more easy 11/10!

We had to quickly pop in here as our daughter needed the loo. We stayed for some gf vegan friendly chips that were really good and thick cut. They had a wide verity of non alcoholic drinks and a vegan curry on the menu. The staff were friendly and helpful, we will definitely be going back

Low rated review - because of the slow service, 1 hour 15 minutes for us to get breakfast today!!! Mental! Kids starving playing up! Not offered an extra drink … won’t be returning. Restaurant is lovely and food is good, but no food is worth a hour and 15 minutes wait! Terrible!! Was it worth me paying over £50 for breakfast? Hell no!!!!

it has its own atmosphere, like there was rainfall n stuff, grass started to grow and on the 7th day god created me and then I ate here

Beautiful building inside and out, and food was very good, service excellent. Thank you! Nice location for walks too so hopefully will return.

Great stop if you are in the area

We were greeted at the door by Sam who took details of our booking. We arrived as a group of 9 adults and 4 children with 2 different table bookings. We spoke to Sam and asked if it was possible to have 2 tables close to each other even though we had booked seperately and had been allocated tables at different locations in the restaurant. Sam quickly reviewed our booking and was so accomodating in sorting out our request without hesitation. We were placed on 2 tables next to each other that made our dining experience much more enjoyable being close to other family members. Ordering food was easy and served really quickly considering we were such a large group. Food was delicious. Will definately be returning. Thank you

Had a very pleasant afternoon in the sandpiper recently. Took the kids into play and a lovely lady called Jane served us. A very pleasant lady and was very attentive and helpful. Food was ok .. the place does need a serious revamp though. Stuck in the 90's😀..

Don’t be put off by the smell of cat spray on the way in!!! I was a bit dubious but the food was good. It looked average when it came out, everything in pots, chips, peas, rice (why?) but good portions. It looked deep fried and a bit over cooked but everyone agreed it all tasted good. Very friendly to dogs and a resident dog and at least a couple of cats. I think the land lady / manager could look stern, but I think she was just checking everything was ok and when I chatted to her she warmed up and was friendly. We will be back!

The poor bar man (who was wonderful) was on his own dealing with everyone at lunchtime. Rediculous to have 1 person behind the bar for a busy lunch. Please change your menu and make it more exciting. (It's been the same for months on end) The tartlets for starter was lovely on a bed of green leaved lushhess. A big thank you to the waiting staff too.
