The best restaurants serving British food in Carmarthen Town South Carmarthenshire West Wales

Amazing place - great food and drinks. My wife and I called in and had wonderful service with a lovely smile from Meg. We didn't have a dog with us but it was like being in a family home with the dogs all feeling really at home. There were others without dogs too and the dogs were so friendly that they were able to enjoy them. If you love dogs, do go whether yours is with you or not . However we stopped by for a warm drink and a cake and it did not disappoint. Delicious cake and cookie selection to go with beautiful warm drinks which were as warm as the welcome Meg gave us. Thank you Meg and Baileys. This place is a must visit in Carmarthen!!

I regularly have a takeaway here, my normal and favourite is jacket potato with tuna & salad. The food is always high quality, servings are very generous and price is most reasonable. The best Takeaway of its type in Carmarthen in my opinion.

Have only been here once but it's an absolute gem of a place. Owner is so attentive and a lovely person and husband is the chef. Highly recommend and will deffo go back

A gem of a hotel located in central Carmarthen. The restaurant is one of the finest in the area providing an extensive menu of freshly sourced, wonderfully prepared selections Their Sunday lunch is superb - worth a visit.

Terrible chips and could not even get a simple order correct. Ordered chips curry sauce and a rissole. No curry sauce and would not have had rissole if did not ask

This was our first visit and what a great find. Quiet, clean and most welcoming! Good 'cuppa' and coffee too! Will certainly visit again.

Called here today for the first time visiting Carmarthen.This little chippy is on a back street in the center of town Cod and chips £12 cooked to order,can honestly say it was the largest and best piece of cod I have ever had.Well done !! Friendly staff ,will certainly return .Thank you.

Had brilliant night here last night. Lovely staff, friendly crowd, great atmosphere and gig by Jake Taylor was awesome. Would definately visit here again.

Always loved Sloppy Joe’s but food was not good this time. Ordered loaded fries - definitely not worth the money- hardly any fries and the chorizo was burnt and overly salty. Burger was not like it normally was. Hardly any seasoning said it came with cheese and mozzarella and DRY. Not sure what’s happened but everything was below par and disappointing. Service was slow- meals came out in bits, some of our group had to wait for theirs as we were 3/4 finished. Had to ask for drinks, and when we were offered desserts we were told you will have to leave as they were closing at 8 (this was 7.50). So ended up taking desserts away from the chiller. It will be a while before I visit again. Gutted 🙁
