I regularly have a takeaway here, my normal and favourite is jacket potato with tuna & salad. The food is always high quality, servings are very generous and price is most reasonable. The best Takeaway of its type in Carmarthen in my opinion.

I was in Carmarthen for a work course and walked past y pantri so decides to grab lunch there. I had a brie and cranberry quiche with salad and honestly it was the nicest one have ever tasted! I also had a delicious slice of carrot cake. I enjoyed both sitting outside in the sunshine. With a bottle of water it came to just over £5! Amazing!

It's hard to beat a box of their delicious homemade cheese pie or quiche with a variety of salads (or beans if you prefer) for under £3 for your lunch but there are plenty of other options available too. Daily specials as well as the regular menu of jackets, sandwiches, etc. Regular visitor. Recommended.

My regular choice when I've been too lazy to prepare lunch. A great choice of sandwiches, jackets, salads, quiche and a hot meal of the day. The food is fresh and well cooked and good value for money. Good friendly service. Highly recommended.

Every Friday we (kit designer) order from Y Pantri. The choices are healthy, decent size portions with very reasonable prices. Upon delivery they supply sauces, cutlery and napkins and it is always service with a smile.

Everyone in work raves about the salads so I went along to have a look. The salad bar looked really fresh but opted for their Turkey and cranberry baguette instead - turkey straight out of the oven none of the plastic type stuff you usually get. Delicious!!! Worth every penny of the £2.50. Staff really friendly, would definitely go there for take away lunch again.

Called in here at the weekend for a takeaway meal to enjoy on the beach, the food was far better than I expected, thought this was just a greasy spoon but I was very wrong. The cake especially was lovely. Will definitely be spending more of my money here rather than st elli bay from now on.

We visited while on holiday and had a fantastic early evening meal. The hosts were very attentive and looked after the children really well. Very warm atmosphere and great menu variety. Would highly recommend.

Only came across this hidden cafe with a community spirited hostess on our way back to South Wales & were smitten by how friendly and accommodating they were. If anyone in your group has a hidden need, for example avoiding cafes with a cabinet full of coca cola cans, Croes y Ceiliog at Llanwrda has the solution, making you feel like a family member. Their tasty home made food too = return visit a definite!

I do not cook at all when The Penny Black is open ! I feel really sorry for cafes and restaurants like this ! It's not their fault that they are unable to open up at the moment still ! The Post office is an integral part of the Burry Port community and as such will have struggled to retain their loyal clientele! Not everyone is,driven by price but as I intend to eat there 3 or 4 times a week , still, I'm very grateful that the prices are priced really realistically , as I'm single and only on my works pension, still ! Lol x Thanks for all the care the staff gave given me since moving to Burry Port/ Pembrey. South Wales. Th

Lovely setting and decor. Friendly and accommodating staff. All the family, 6 adults and 3 kids, had Sunday roast dinner and pudding. Food very tasty and plenty of it especially the gravy. Will have no hesitation in returning to Caffi Traeth. Excellent.
