Simply Amazing - great food, great service. Thank you very much.

Four of us arrived to celebrate a birthday - from the moment we stepped in the service was impeccable. One look at the menu and we all knew we were in trouble - so much choice how could you make up your mind what to have! We all chose different starters - pate, garlic tomato and basil soup, Thai spiced prawn tom yum broth and goats cheese and hazelnut cheesecake - all absolutely delicious- for mains we had sea bass, chicken, duck and boeuf bourginon - well seasoned so tasty and absolutely delicious and all piping hot. While we were eating we were asked several times if everything was ok and if we needed more drinks - they brought water to the table 3 times while we were there the service was so attentive. Only two of us could fit in a dessert - the most sublime vanilla panacotta - I would highly recommend the New Curiosity - what a gem of a place we will definitely be returning

Celebrated a birthday here and it was absolutely stunning. The food was outstanding as was the service and atmosphere. Highly recommended, pricing very reasonable for the quality of food/service received. Genuine compliments to the chef and establishment, have not had such delicious food in a restaurant for years and would definitely go again.

Sunday was our 3rd visit to New Curiosity (two adults and two 12 year olds) and it was once again superb. We all love it there. Not only is the food delicious but the portions are generous and the service by Rachel and team is friendly and warm. It is our favourite place to eat in Carmarthenshire. And a special mention to how good New Curiosity's gluten free options are. A very clever chef. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. A must visit.

What a fantastic restaurant from staff to atmosphere and more importantly the food. Everything was stunning and we didn’t want our food to end. Prices are reasonable and nice relaxed vibe with no rushing to clear your table. Can’t wait to return.

Had a superb meal here last weekend. The restaurant itself has a lovely ambience. Rachel and the team are wonderful at looking after the customers. Water is brought to the table immediately, you don't have to ask as in many other restaurants. They checked on all customers and had a chat with them. We ordered the Chicken liver parfait, which was a work of art on the plate. It was delicious. I ordered the Pork belly as a main which scrumptious. The vegetables served with it were cooked perfectly and the sauce was amazing. My husband had the Duck which was perfectly pink and mouth watering. Again very much enjoyed. I had the coconut and vanilla panacotta for dessert. I'm not usually a fan of coconut but took a chance as I love panacotta. It was again just amazing. The coconut wasn't overpowering and the accompanying mango sorbet and passion fruit sauce was perfect. We had a lovely bottle of red wine with our meal and enjoyed the best evening out in a very long time. Will hopefully be back again soon. Definitely a restaurant to visit if you are ever in the Carmarthen area.

Treated the in-laws and hubby to a Fathers Day Sunday lunch treat. We live locally and had heard how amazing the food is. It didn’t disappoint!!! My mother in law said it was the best Sunday lunch she’d ever had out in a restaurant!!! Credit indeed!!! Looking forward to going there on the weekend one night to try some of their other culinary delights. It’s so great to have a quality local restaurant that prides itself in sourcing local produce too.

Absolutely astonishing! The best food I have ever eaten anywhere. Beats the best I have had in and around London and anywhere in Europe. This gem deserves to be a Michelin Guide restaurant and is highly recommended.

What a wonderful array of food we received and enjoyed. It was a Lebanese Themed night, and what an experience everyone in the restaurant were fortunate to savour plus the Lebanese red wine. Dan the Chef has once again excelled in his field of expertise. Also a big Thank You has to go to Rachel and the front of house team, so welcoming and accommodating, as we couldn’t eat everything they boxed up the food for us to take home, happy days. Where do I start? The food was amazing, the atmosphere was so warm and relaxed and the service was so attentive with a smile from everyone. From Dan's amazing cooking to Rachel's impeccable customer service the whole evening was second to none. I would recommend to anyone that if you didn't have anywhere to go for the evening to check out the new curiosity as you won't be disappointed. I especially enjoyed the 10z sirloin!!! Wow what can I say I am so impressed by everything. Went here for my birthday on 17 March. I have multiple allergies and food intolerances so was nervous about going out to eat at a new restuarant. My husband booked via email and was emailed back a couple of times by Rachel about my diet. On the day Rachel and Dan had worked out a menu especially for my needs. I had the most amazing Sunday lunch. I was able to have mashed potato in a restuarant. I have not been able to do that for years. The food was amazing so nicely presented and lots of it. No attention to detail was left out. Thank you for a great birthday meal. We will definitely be back and will recomend to others.

We went for an early celebration dinner while visiting Wales. The food was the bestwe've had in a long time, the service was efficient and friendly . Haut cuisine for a very reasonable price. We couldn't recommend highly enough.

We had heard great things about this restaurant and as we were staying in Carmarthen for a few days booked a table via email with Rachel the owner. We had a wonderful meal, great choice of dishes on offer, struggled to choose! Rachel and the other lady serving us were friendly and very professional. Great value meal for what was on offer and the wine was excellent too. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the belly pork. Lovely atmosphere, warm and cosy and tastefully decorated. Definitely recommend eating here to anyone wouldn't eat anywhere else. Next time we are in Carmarthen we will be booking a table again.

What a fantastic hidden gem. Have seen this on trip advisor a few times but haven't been...... it did not disappoint. Small but personal, the way we like it. Food is fab, service is excellent. I recently dined at The New Curiosity with my wife and team from work and we had an exceptional experience. We all indulged in the 3-courses and each dish was simply amazing. The quality of the food was top-notch, and I was impressed by the flavors and presentation of each course. The staff at The New Curiosity were outstanding. Especially Rachel the owner and Manager, we found her to be very attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout the meal. The professionalism and hospitality added to the overall dining experience. You could see they truly cared for their customers and wanted to make sure they had a good experience. We even go to meet Dan the owner and chef at the end of the night, which was lovely and he sat and spoke with us telling us all of his stories from when he started and how he became a chef. What stood out to me the most was the reasonable pricing for such high-quality food. The value for money at The New Curiosity is truly remarkable, considering the level of culinary excellence and service provided. Overall, I highly recommend The New Curiosity to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with delicious food, exceptional service, and great value. It is definitely worth a visit!

What a beautiful venue! So warm and welcoming even before we stepped foot inside! The menu was varied and plentiful. I had three superb courses, each perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Heads and tails the best restaurant I've been to in Carmarthen and the surrounding areas. The chef is very talented and the restaurant has a lovely cosy atmosphere. All the staff are highly professional and can't do enough for their customers. We went for a team celebration and everyone had something different to eat, and all thoroughly enjoyed their meals. All the food is cooked to order and freshly produced. Will definitely recommend and already booked my next visit with the family.

My wife and I went here tonight for valentines dinner it was was absolutely stunning. my starters of belly pork, was the best I had ever tasted, this was followed with rib eye steak, witch was succulent, cooked to perfection with chips that were good enough to grace any table. A free glass of prosecco and a beer followed, which meant i had no room for the desert which they kindly boxed up to take home. It has been quite a few years since we last visited this restaurant, but it certainly will not be that long before we revisit. I would recommend the restaurant to anyone who likes quality food, cooked to perfection and perfectly served by experienced staff. What a find for Carmarthen.

We had Sunday lunch for 10 people as a special birthday meal. The food was fantastic, excellent service and lovely atmosphere. I would highly recommend the restaurant - really fantastic Sunday roast!!

I have just had Sunday lunch at this exceptional restaurant. As soon as I walked in I felt the warmth from the fire and was calmed by the tasteful decoration. The waitresses were courteous and efficient, and my meal arrived in a timely manner. I had chosen to have the main course only - roast chicken with no fewer than five vegetables (broccoli, carrots, red cabbage, swede and sprouts) and gravy. The meal not only looked bright and colourful, but also tasted delicious.

Dined here with my family, we all had different dishes which were all amazing. The Chef is very talented and the food is delicious, the service is also exeptional. I had heard good reports about the restaurant but it exceeded my expectations. We will definitely dine here again. We are so lucky to have a restaurant of this quality in Carmarthen.

Service was fluent and relaxed with no rush on the customer whatsoever. The food was exeptional. Cooked to perfection, it looked like a picture and flavours that I can't stop thinking about. The pork belly with quince apple sauce and crackling has got me hooked. My new favourite restaurant and I will be travelling from Bridgend to Carmarthen on a regular basis! What I couldn't believe is the fact that the chef works alone, and turning out the calibre of food individually deserves every accolade he gets - truly fantastic!

It is a very good restaurant with good, well presented food . Not your usual restaurant food a bit more exclusive. There are only 8 tables allowing a good atmosphere for talking . The staff were pleasant and helpful. We had the Christmas menu, either the standard Turkey or beef, salmon all perfectly cooked. Starters were gorgeous, as were the deserts. This is a very stylish restaurant well worth a visit if you like good food. I'm looking forward to going back to try their normal menue.
