As usual, lovely bass and chips and tartar sauce! Partner had white bait with salsa dressing which was always delicious. One slight negative… the owner and two assistants (who I didn’t recognise) could have been friendly upon our arrival. ‘Hello’ and a smile don’t cost anything. Called here today for the first time visiting Carmarthen.This little chippy is on a back street in the center of town Cod and chips £12 cooked to order,can honestly say it was the largest and best piece of cod I have ever had.Well done !! Friendly staff ,will certainly return .Thank you.

I had the fried prawns and homemade chips. Excellent food, great service and real value for money. Will definitely visit again.

The food at catch is amazing!! Came across it by chance and I will not be going to another fish and chip shop again. I bought my nan some chips and she is super fussy and absolutely loved them. The fish is the best I have ever had. They cater for the whole family my kids loved it. Thank you

I really cannot recommend ‘Catch’ enough! It is quite simply the BEST ‘fish-bar’ /take-away food place ever. Everything is mouth-wateringly DELICIOUS! No other ‘chippy’ chips will ever taste the same after you’ve been here! Complete different league. I can highly recommend the halloumi burger, the prawn-loaded chips, and the halloumi loaded chips…they are all truly delicious! The friendliness of all staff should be noted too…they love what they do and show pride in their food. Best in the business! Highlight of my week on a Fri eve!

Stopped off for a bit of lunch at Catch. Ordered the Crispy haddock burger from the specials board which came with coleslaw and chips. The burger was so so tasty! I was really impressed, and the price was fair. Staff were super friendly. Recommend!

Good old fish and chips with a twist Bass, calamari, halloumi… all on the menu. A few chairs and tables outside, but otherwise, it’s a take-away

Friendly service and fabulous cooked fish, this is worth finding. Not the normal type of batch cooking cooked fish & chips. Cooked to order and with care. Breaded Sea Bass and fish cake done so well. Highly recommended. Not sure what the negative reviews were expecting.

Fantastic food, can’t recommend the place enough! I ordered sea bass and chips, my partner ordered the mackerel and chips, honestly the freshest fish and chips we’ve ever tried! Highly recommended! The staff were fantastic, friendly and accommodating. We’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely delicious food and excellent service. The loaded prawns were to die for, highly recommended. The halloumi burger was gorgeous.

What a surprise, ordered the calamari loaded fries and halloumi fries ……it was fabulous,decent sized portions at a very reasonable price and a whole tasty looking menu still to explore

Lovely chippy supper for the family. The children love the fish goujon meal deal and we really enjoy the loaded prawns. Our go to chippy in Carmarthen town now. Fish is fresh and caught locally . Service is very friendly

Style over substance. Looked great. Taking photos for Instagram? This is your place. Want to enjoy the food, this isnt it. Loaded fries were ordered. Chillies are used to add colour to an otherwise bland looking dish. Result - all you taste is chilli. Rest of family said the chips were ‘ok’ but couldn’t taste them. Can’t comment on the taste of the other meals however more food was thrown away than eaten (and we are a family who like our fish and chips). Glad we tried it but afraid, won’t be returning. Sorry.

Friendly and welcoming service, with high quality food! The chips were tasty and the fish goujons were fresh and delicious. Moreover, the portion size was generous and represented good value for money. Will definitely be returning :)

Having heard so many superb things about this little takeaway we tried it as a family. I must say that the chips were nice although small potion. Fish was tasteless as was the batter. Even my children who usually eat every scrap of fish left...
