What can I say about the amazing place that is sloppy joes? As a family we go here a lot. The vibe is great, the staff are lush, the food is phenomenal and affordable! It’s outstanding. So much so we booked the entire upstairs for our wedding evening do. Well, the staff went above and beyond! Nothing was too much. The attention to detail was second to non. The entire atmosphere was incredible! The way they managed to not only deal with the business of our wedding they also had a thriving amount of custom downstairs where everyone partied and celebrated together. I cannot thank the team enough for genuinely making our day so special and reaffirming why we picked sloppys as our venue. Genuinely special place, don’t miss out!!

What an awesome restaurant! My husband and I came to Sloppy Joes for our wedding anniversary...on recommendation from a friend. It did not disappoint! We did not get the full Sloppy Joes experience.....because we actually turned up after the kitchen had shut due to us getting the closing time wrong. We met the chef outside and he was kind enough to offer to cook for us anyway.....what an outstanding human! We hurriedly picked our food off the menu ...not giving it full thought as we were trying not to take up too much time from the lovely staff who were clearly closing up...no one rushed us and we had a drink whilst waiting for our food. When it arrived the chef had taken the time to write Happy Anniversary messages on our boxes which was a lovely touch. The food inside was phenomenal.....the burger was absolutely delicious and that is very high praise from us as we raise our own beef at home! We will 100% be back with the whole family, in good time to enjoy the full range of wonders they have on offer. I'm already excited! A true hidden gem. Oh gosh where do I start!! I've been following this business for years and never had the chance until recently to try it due to living 45 mins away. Seated and ordered our food. My burger came and as soon as I bit into it fat dripped down my arm 🤢 there was nothing "smashed" about this burger just dry overcooked and no crispy edges clearly just cooked in oil as thats all i could tatse which isn't what a smash burger is let alone any burger. I ate less than half before the children asked for it and also wasted it. The chips and chicken was also cooked in dirty oil which didn't taste nice at all. We wasted 80% of our meal and the waitress didn't come to check on us during the meal to report back. I went downstairs to pay as time was getting on with the food wasted so she wouldn't have seen... even if she did care. I paid for our meal as I am not the type to cause a fuss. Really really disappointed

Food was good and nice and busy. What we found off putting was the waitresses were throwing some very judgemental looks to each other, clearly about customers. It happened once and we brushed it off but it maybe occurred 4/5 times. I’m talking eye rolling, whispering, this kind of behaviour. It was clearly very rude and also very obvious?

Sloppy Joes is our favourite place to go for a treat meal. The staff are lovely, the atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and pleasantly colourful, and the food is FANTASTIC! Fair warning, you'll likely find yourself dreaming about their food whenever you get peckish 😆 We usually treat ourselves to a SJ feast by ordering burgers + topped fries each (and then don't eat for the rest of the day, ha) - the meals aren't super speedy but why rush something when taking the time to make meals that are consistently really high quality and truly delicious is so much better. Whether it's been with a large group of friends (8 of us) or on a date with my hubby, a Sloppy Joe's visit has always been such a treat. The staff are a big part of what makes the place so relaxing and pleasant - polite and calmly friendly, they seem genuinely proud of what's made there and are happy to answer any questions about the menus. They get you settled, take your orders, deliver your feast, do the usual check that you're happy with everything and if you need anything else, and then just let you enjoy meals in peace - we have never been pestered or rushed out of there which is in keeping with how chilled the place is. We're always on the hunt for a great burger and whilst we've found some really good ones elsewhere, Sloppy Joe's has yet to be beaten. Also, the hot sauces are fantastic, as are the sweet treats - we usually grab a sorbet or a brownie 'to go' before happily rolling out the door 😁

My wife and I come to Slippy Joe's at least once a month and the food is always incredible. On our last visit I had the Fat Elvis (at least I think that's what it was called) and it blew my mind! You will not be disappointed if you get food here, just make sure you have a small breakfast and wear your stretchiest trousers!

I always take people to Sloppy Joe's when someone comes to visit and they never disappoint IMO. It's my favourite place for a naughty treat! The good: The food is fantastic if you'd like something decadent and reasonably priced (and who doesn't?). There are lots of options and you're guaranteed to find something for everyone. If you've got an allergy or intolerance they're super good and accommodating in my experience (they even made me gluten free waffles because I was cutting out gluten at one point). Their cocktails and mocktails are inventive and ever changing - ditto for the desserts! The ice cream and milkshake selection is excellent and includes dairy free flavours. Plus the people running it are just lovely, which is always a nice bonus! The OK: Prepare to wait (this is good food, not FAST food). Staff are often spread thin across the two floors so getting desserts or more drinks or the bill can be a little slow too, but usually I'm busy talking someone's ear off so it's no big deal. :) Oh, and I never have room for dessert because I'm too full from the main meal - mixed blessing! The bad: Sometimes it's full and you have to settle for going somewhere else (I'm not always clever enough to book ahead). Sometimes it's not open and I've forgotten to check the opening times on Instagram (so pro-tip: check IG!). This is my go-to place in Carmarthen and nowhere does better food and drink. It's a wonderful place run by lovely people. :)

We’ve been going to Sloppy Joes since the days of the van in Merlin Walk. Never had a bad meal! Always amazing service, delicious local produce used, freshly made. Signature cocktails. Having visited Sloppy Joes many times i love it there, great food, great staff, great prices and great vibes always plus i always admire, no matter how busy, the chilled and laid back feels you get when youre in there. The food is excellent with a wide variety of choice and occasional specials, some of which ive managed to taste, i can honestly say ive never had a bad meal from there, i cannot speak for vegetarians/vegans however they do seem quite well accommodated between the menu and specials, SJs also seem to cater well for children also however this is just what ive heard from family with children. They have an excellent drinks selection also, having had milkshakes, coffees, soft drinks and several alcohol beverages from there i can say they have a great selection, plenty of known brands and also a good selection of local stuff also, they also have cocktail specials from time to time and these are amazing aswell!! Also if you like milkshake, youll love an SJs milkshake!!!! As for the staff its always service with a smile, everytime ive been they have been excellent, helpful, friendly, chilled(even on a table of 10+ on a saturday evening) while always remaining absolutely professional, cannot fault them. Absolute 10/10!!!! Value for money i think they are up there with the best, you really do get good honest food and decent portions for what you pay. The place is always good vibes and a calming atmosphere, i can understand why the live music on the weekends may not be for everyone but Sloppy Joes are very clear about this with times etc and therefore it can be avoided, however for me personally, i like it, adds to the whole experience and definitely has its place. We booked for our works Christmas do and the staff were so lovely and helpful in the lead up when we were getting preorders to the actual night itself. A couple of minor things were wrong on our preorder and they were solved so quickly with no fuss. The food was incredibly tasty and the cocktails were lovely, the staff were so helpful and friendly. The place was very busy but service was still very good, they kept up communication and let us know if there was a delay on anything, and were very understanding when one of our party was running late. 100% recommend them / they’re an incredible business!

Absolutely astounding food and service! We've been for food several times with these beautiful people and food has always been amazing. Hubby is very hard to please when it comes to his grub and he has NOT ONCE had a complaint! Been to Sloppy Joe's many times over the years and never had a bad meal or experience.
