The best restaurants serving British food in Swansea South Wales

We called in for a drink one afternoon. The place was almost empty, as indeed it seems to be the majority of the time. The place is well furnished and roomy but lacks atmosphere. Not for me.

had a long wait for service, the small fish and chips I ordered although it was shown on the menu apparently was not actually available. I was brought the large fish and chips and can in all honesty say that it was the worst fish and chips I have ever had in my life

Terrible service ,waited fifteen minutes to be served drinks which were overpriced. Then asked a waitress to take our order and was told they had stopped service of food because the show was starting in fifty minutes and we were too late . No signs to say what time last orders for food was, not enough staff to serve drinks and a very small restaurant area was not conducive to an evening meal and show . If you want food here get there by six and you might be lucky., but I would go elsewhere.

Went here today for Sunday lunch.sat down lady from the bar went to tell the staff we were there..ten mins and they were still gossip in in the kitchen.very disappointed.wont be recommending to anyone

Pedir kebab de sheesh grande y uno pequeño. La orden será de 45 minutos. No hay problema. Esto fue a las 7. 40 . 8 . 40 dáselas. Sonó solo para preguntar si estaba en camino, contesta el teléfono diciendo que sí estará allí en cualquier momento. 8 . 55 Todavía no sonó comida de nuevo. Siento mucho que la policía los haya sacado, están a 4 minutos. Ok, esperaremos, 9. 20 Todavía no hay comida en este punto que estábamos cerca de decir que no te molestes. Pero llamaron a la puerta. Así que la comida no fue de 45 minutos, en realidad fue más de 1 / media hora. La comida estaba muy fría, todo el papel se filtraba con Grecia. Llamé para decir que no estaría pidiendo de nuevo como comida cuesta 23 libras para 2 kebabs. La respuesta fue: ¿Te gustaría esperar a otro? ¡O 10 de descuento en el próximo pedido!

Ordered a meal at this kebab house at 8.13pm Called 1.5 hours later only to be fed lots of lies about delivery driver delivered food to the wrong house Eventually had food delivered more than 2 hours after order was placed They gave me a bottle of orange for my trouble Bit of a joke really if they think that would keep me happy Food looked like it had been thrown into the box in one big rush salad didn't seem very crunchy My only advise to anyone ordering from this place is READ THE BAD REVIEWS FIRST before you order to avoid the pending disappointment Even if the food tasted good which unfortunately it didn't It came way too late to enjoy it Shop owner didn't seem to care as he already had my money I WILL NOT dare order from this place again I may as well just throw my money at a big bag of sweets and waste my money in a delicious way

Lovely Sunday lunch in this beautiful, cosy pub. Staff are always friendly and attentive and always have a good experience when we come here.

Buenas comidas no hay mucho para elegir en el menú las patatas fritas en una pequeña cesta y no muchos ... pan de ajo sobre precio £ 4 : 20 y aros de cebolla £ 3 : 95 en los lados que necesitan mantener el juego como En competencia masiva con otros pubs de la zona ... . La cena se parece más a un café necesita más amor ❤️ personal encantador Volvería, pero algunos miembros de la familia no necesitarán platos más grandes para los comedores más grandes...

Fantastic view of iconic beach and a bit of a captive audience because of location Really poor choice of bar food and inedible fish cake. Chips good. Interesting that person collecting the plates did not seem to notice the food was left…. Servicio muy muy lento. Esperé una hora en total esperando ser servido. El café no estaba demasiado ocupado y parecía haber personal adecuado alrededor. Habíamos terminado nuestros cafés, otros 20 minutos pasaron y nos estábamos levantando para cancelar nuestro pedido, ya que necesitábamos volver al aparcamiento en los siguientes 25 minutos cuando la camarera llegó con nuestra comida, un pastel de té tostado, rollo de desayuno y patatas fritas. Le expliqué que teníamos que salir ya que no tendríamos tiempo para comer y llegar al aparcamiento a tiempo. Ella era muy disculpado y se ofreció a encajonar la comida para llevar con nosotros. Sin embargo, conducir 12 millas a casa para recalentar la comida es realmente inaceptable. No volverá. El personal debe informar a los clientes del tiempo de espera previsto si tienen problemas.

Disappointing meal. Drink came in a chipped glass, my panini arrived before my partner's with the caveat "sorry I've burnt yours, I haven't made one before" Panini arrived ages later accompanied by the saltiest crisps we have ever eaten. Can't see us going back.

Terribly slow service unless of course your a friend of the blonde lady with glasses serving at 10.30 am 19/1/24 and you want to chat about things . I have to be honest , I didn't like the way she served a young guy in front of the blonde lady in front of me . When he asked for a pasty she seemed to find the way he asked to be amusing and smirked at the blonde . When he left she started to serve this lady but stopped put her elbows on the counter, cupped her face in her hands and started to have a full blown conversation. Then it appears as your a friend you get free extras oh and don't forget a blank collectors card that she'll fill up for you while you wait . I turned around to the guy behind me who looking at me raised his eyes and I said loud enough to be heard . '' Maybe we should have a conversation about how our day is going and pass the time while we wait '' . Eventually it was my turn to be served with a spitted '' Yes '' ? Really not a pleasant experience in my opinion and I'm sorry I stopped at this branch .

Not safe for people with food allergies. None of the staff members had any understanding what gluten was. I had to explain I couldn’t eat bread, flour, wheat etc and they then brought me a salad with couscous. I asked them for a fresh salad but I don’t think they understood how serious an issue this is for me. I have been unwell since. The service was very substandard in other respects. It felt like it was all of their first days at work. I think this cafe would benefit from decent management and training staff. It’s gone really downhill since I remember it from years ago. The cutlery was all dirty, as were the glasses. None of the tables were clean. Really disappointed
