Lovely Sunday lunch in this beautiful, cosy pub. Staff are always friendly and attentive and always have a good experience when we come here.

Stunning food, lovely staff aswell, the portion sizes were good and the chips were lovely, we were wanting to give this a try for a while, we would definitely return - thanks Paul and Martyna ☺️

After a couple of disappointments in the past we Called in again with friends last night for dinner (19.2.25). The staff were very friendly as always and there's a new menu with plenty of choice. We didn't have to wait long after ordering when the food came it was very well presented good size portion's and delicious we will definitely be eating there again! highly recommended

Mi amigo y yo estuvimos aquí para una noche de chicas un poco de comida y un montón de gin tonic. Decir que me decepcionó es una eufemismo, el lugar estaba lleno de perros, no me malinterpreten. Me encantan los perros y en realidad no me importa un lugar amigable para los perros, pero estos perros estaban permitidos en cualquier lugar y en todas partes. No había área asignada para perros. Estaban en las sillas que siento que es un no no, ya que me había tomado tiempo para vestirme para salir por la noche solo para estar cubierto por pelos de perro de otras personas. Entonces, para mi asombro, un perro tenía sus patas en una mesa. Esto nos dejó totalmente fuera de comer allí, ya que no sabíamos quién había tenido sus patas en nuestra mesa. Odiaría ver que no es un lugar adecuado para perros, pero mantenerlo en un área no todo el lugar, especialmente ya que la comida se sirve allí. No es una persona feliz en absoluto y definitivamente no regresará pronto.

I had a delivery of a Sunday lunch previously and yes it was via uber so not a full reflection on the pub but it was cold and gravy was tasteless. I have however been told it’s nice in the pub so I will try and update my review

Fuimos en grupo para nuestra celebración anual de Navidad para comida y bebidas. Normalmente tenemos comida en la ciudad y el cercano Bar 141 sugerido estaba lleno y lleno cuando tratamos de entrar, así que pensamos en darle una oportunidad a medida que pasamos. Pedimos entrantes que tardaron en salir a pesar de que el bar no estaba muy ocupado, lo que fue sorprendente ya que estaba cerca de la época navideña (la falta de clientes puede explicarse por la comida). El servidor no tenía la actitud más feliz y nos daba una oleada constante de humo mientras estábamos comiendo nuestros entrantes , ya que había gente fumando por la puerta principal y los servidores no se molestaban en decirle a la gente fumando que se fuera más lejos . Había una sequía muy fría cada vez que se abría y podíamos oler humo en nuestra ropa cuando salíamos, lo que no era muy agradable. Los entrantes no eran grandes para el precio - forraje congelado, no fresco y frito, así que dejaron un poco de recubrimiento en la paleta toda la noche y muy caro. No eran baratos pero se sorprendieron por el costo de una botella de vino - era solo un tipo Aldi barato con un gran margen de beneficio puesto en la parte superior y muy ácido. Una cerveza de mi amigo estaba bien, pero de nuevo caro y era bastante plano. La red eléctrica no era la más agradable - de nuevo congelado, comidas grasas que obviamente habían sido precocinados o comprados en y microondas y muy caro por lo que eran . Las patatas fritas caseras no eran agradables en absoluto - grasoso y con condimentos minúsculos proporcionados. No teníamos los postres después de nuestra comida, pero vimos artículos y parecían congelados comprados en comida normal, pero muy caros para lo que eran. Es una verdadera lástima ya que cobrar precios altos por productos baratos , en lugar de precios razonables por comidas recién cocinadas y nutritivas con buenos vinos , significaría que el lugar estuviera más concurrido con un mejor ambiente . Los inodoros eran bastante anticuados, muy pequeños, y el cubículo de los hombres siempre estaba cerrado cuando entré allí - el grifo caliente no funcionaba, así que desde una perspectiva de higiene esto no era genial y había bastante orina debajo del urinario que estaba siendo caminado de vuelta a través de la alfombra del pub El ambiente estaba bastante muerto cuando entramos , lo que podría explicarse por nuestra experiencia y no tendríamos una fiesta de Navidad aquí, ya que solo parece ser un “pub local para la gente local” Quizás fue solo una noche libre, pero no volveríamos o recomendaríamos el pub en comparación con otros lugares en los que hemos estado, pero esperamos que los comentarios se tomen en cuenta.

17 of us attended for my daughters birthday. I received an email with information to preorder and alot of information with regards to allergies as my son has anaphylaxis to nuts. Our meals all came out the same time and were absolutely amazing . The staff were fantastic. We will be back

First time ordering food online from this pub, First time ordering, food was tasty and spot on, made a simple request and it was not only fulfilled, but with a funny response which put a smile on my face, going the extra mile :) definitely be ordering again

Came to the plough for food with my father I had a plough burger and would one thousand percent recommend it one of the best burgers I had and my father had a rump steak and he said was the best he has had and he was a kitchen manager for 15 years

Great menu in a lovely environment . Good selection of beers and staff are friendly and helpful. Nice to see a Marstons pub with their own menu instead of the standard . Our Meals were gorgeous x

Popped in twice over the bank holiday weekend and I will definitely be coming back! I had a lamb roast on sunday, the vegetables were fresh and tasty and meat was delicious. The staff were extremely helpful and super friendly, will definitely be coming back

Had a first birthday party, food was amazing staff were amazing considering some meals had to be cancelled they handled it very well. The food came out all around the same time and the function room upstairs was great with a bar. Definitely recommend and would book again. There was a worker never got hiis name ( tied back hair , beard ) he was absolutely fantastic lovely server so friendly and kind .

Absolutely outstanding, I can't say enough good things about the food, staff and arrangement, there was 15 of us for an 18th birthday and we have been to many restaurants in the past and due to the fact we are such a large number there's always issues, not with the plough though as I gave them a list of everyone's order and included the name and they even brought the food out to us and called each person's name, absolutely outstanding and will definitely be coming back, can't recommend these guys enough!! Plus the prices are extremely reasonable and food was amazing!!

Fantastic food, really good quality and great prices. Had the chorizo & herb potatoes for starters followed by the fish & chips with mushy peas. Food came out hot and quick. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Wouldn't come here again. Place smelt bad, it could do with a gpod clean. All the food came out different times. Peas were hard, some of the food was cold. 2 of the family had bad stomachs straight after. Would not re vist or reccomend.

Have eaten here a few times before and had great meals and service. Went for Sunday Dinner today. Ordered starters - soup came out cold. They took it back and it took an age for a new one. Waited nearly an hour for the mains after having to ask where they were. Mains had frozen roast potatoes which were hard and cold in the middle. Meat was full of gristle. Carrots were rock hard, yorkshire pudding burnt on the bottom and to top it all off found a hair wrapped around one of the new potatoes. There was only one other set of people in when we arrived so not sure what it would be like if it was busy. Staff were swearing and could be clearly heard saying that they had a function upstairs and had only 4 minutes to get their buffett ready so assuming why the service was so poor in the restaurant area. They did give us a refund but didn't seem to care much. Such a shame as had been great the other times we had visited but don't think we will be going back after this experience.

Sat in the beer garden and had an early tea & couple of drinks after a busy day. Food was really lovely! Photos speak for themselves!

If your looking for crispy, fluffy home made roast potatoes, melt in the mouth beef with real gravy don't go to this pub. It was our first time and we were looking forward to finding somewhere new with quality home made Sunday lunch, we were so disappointed with the food, the beef was a thick cut of beef, bloody in the middle of the slice and so tough we couldn't cut it , roast potatoes soggy and not home made (frozen at a guess) and the gravy was a gel like consistency, on a good note the staff were polite and attentive and when I told them about the beef not being to my liking I was offered a slice of turkey instead ! On a positive note my dog really enjoyed the beef once we had cut it up for him. So not a complete waste of money!

Our family had lunch at the Plough today. The food was served to us all at the same time, even though there were 9 of us eating (some estabishments seem to have trouble managing to do this with groups of this size). The prices were reasonable and the food plentiful and delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient and everyone enjoyed their meal. We were served 'proper chips' (not the frozen rubbish that some places use) and they were really lovely and the speciality burgers were incredibly tasty and absolutely enormous. I'm a bit puzzled why the place wasn't busier, given the quality. We will certainly go back here again.

Went to the plough today, as we have booked upstairs for a function, was shown pictures of the buffet and the room and it all looked fab, as it is Sunday and they do Sunday lunch, serving till 8pm, we thought we would try it and we wasn’t disappointed, we had the beef and it was stunning, the vegetables, the meat was so tender couldn’t fault it, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the service was good. It’s a lovely little pub with a country feel, so if you fancy an amazing Sunday dinner try this place, you won’t be disappointed, we will be back, thank you all.

Me and the wife stopped for a Sunday Lunch. Must say it was a tad on the cold side, and only one small slice of beef. Another customer had to have Thier meal put in the microwave. The taste was ok was alright but the veg had dried out slightly. Will not bother going back.

I booked the plough and Harrow for a 40th birthday meal. There were 27 of us and we were all so impressed with everything. Everyone's food was brought out swiftly and it was all lovely and fresh and hot. It was delicious. The staff were brilliant. They were all so friendly and helpful, nothing was to much trouble. All the food is very reasonably priced. The atmosphere in the pub is lovely and it has a lovely cosy feel. We are very lucky to have it on our door step. What makes it even better is its dog friendly!! Thankyou for having us all, I highly recommend to everybody, such a lovely place for a nice meal or just a drink. We love visiting.

Popped in last minute today, on way home from hospital appointment, no trouble getting a table, ordered two fish and chips, absolutely delicious, fish was so good, no fatty batter, Gower gold so no surprise it was so tasty, chips to die for, rustic so very good, mushy peas and a really good Tatar sauce. As a bonus two soda waters ( one driving, one receiving medical treatment) free, a very enjoyable experience after a stressful afternoon. A definite gem of a restaurant.

Was told that the Plough & harrow has upped their game as bar 141 just up the road is known for their fantastic food and great portions ,so decided to give it ago as it’s a lovely pub and do enjoy a drink there from time to time Staff very nice and professional Chips here are probably the best I have ever had and that’s the truth ,just amazing and tasty,cooked perfectly with skins on ,great texture I had the burger as well as my father,and it was very disappointing ,really was There was a very small over cooked dry burger and didn’t fill the bun at all and the chef who was cooking knows how poor the burger is ,just think back to the burgers that were cooked last night No burger sauce as stated in description I will give it another go but will wait a few months to give the pub time to up their game My son had the chicken coujons and enjoyed My fried had the mixed grill and he was happy,not fantastic he said but enjoyed Only leaving feedback to help improvements

Great atmosphere live music fantastic last night

Fantastic food, Lovely staff, Great prices, Brilliant Atmosphere. We called here after being recommended by family friends and we definitely left more than happy. We had some of the best customer service from lovely staff with great meals and very decent food portions! Highly recommend and we will definitely be returning to this little Swansea gem

I have visited here twice over last few days, once with family for evening meal and was so nice went back with friends a few days later for lunch. We went here with a few friends for a very tasty and reasonably priced lunch. the staff were friendly and efficient, the service was quick for a total of 11 meals, and deserts were very well priced, We certainly will visit again, well done to all the staff

Popped in with a friend on the way home from the Cinema for a few drinks. Excellent and friendly service from staff. Venue was very clean.

My first and certainly not my last visit! Martyna and Paul were incredible! Introduced themselves! Made conversation with us! The whole place was spotless. The toilets are also fully stocked and spotless! You can tell the staff take extra care with ensuring the toilets and the whole place stays clean at all times. Food was incredible! HOT! FRESH! Absolutely incredible! The only time I had to get up was to another round for the fam! So cheap for the 5 of us! Inc drinks! Bargain! Not to mention the desserts! The staff here are all very polite delivering amazing customer service. Food 10/10 Staff 10/10 Cleanliness 10/10 We will be back for sure.

Iv recently visited the plough and Harrow llansamlet, Friendly staff ! Were amazing with me when asked about my gluten tolerance and what was available to me ! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed place to eat with good food !

First time to visit for a Sunday roast and was not impressed,beef was tough,carrots still had skins on them and looked half dead,sprouts overdone,cauliflower cheese not nice,wife had to ask for some more turkey due to the small amount ,waiter brought some more which had been warmed up in microwave, definitely not worth the money.

Booked a table for 21 to celebrate two birthdays. I had to pre order the meals in advance. Sent the list in of meals in along with the persons name to avoid errors as some had made adjustments. Arrived for the meal and as food came out no names were given for the particular adjustment made for individuals. One of the adjusted meals were incorrectly given to a child. Which was obviously started, then the child’s meal came out and the error was realised. The person serving the food would not give the correct person a new meal as the child had taken a bite out of the burger and eaten the chips. The server refused point blank saying it was my fault the error had been made. So a new meal had to be ordered. And charged for. Two people of the party waited so long for their food everyone had finished theirs. At the end of the evening everyone paid for their meals I also went to pay for mine walked out of the pub and was then told there were 4 meals not paid for. After asking which meals they were two of them were the one I had literally just paid for. The server even argued with me that it was not them but when I queried it again there was only one of a particular meal ordered and I’d just paid for it. So he finally accepted this. But due to another member of staff apparently not crossing off what each person had paid for there appeared to be two u paid meal which I got lumbered with having to pay. Even though I knew everyone had paid. The customer service from this man was awful between the mess that was made with bringing the food out and then the mess when people paid. I won’t even go back here. I ended up paying for four meals and the extra one that had to be ordered due to their mistake and my bill should only of been for two meals. Customer service was extremely poor, no care or attention paid the paying of meals.

If you're planning on paying a visit to this pub look past previous bad reviews. This pub has been under new management for the past few months, how refreshing. Visited last night with friends, pub was very busy for a Tuesday, luckily we had booked or we may have found it difficult to find an empty table, food was hot, tasty and well presented, all staff were friendly and made sure our meals were satisfactory, 5 empty plates returned to the kitchen, will definitely return
