Called in on the off chance (no booking!) they could 'feed' a hungry family of five - no problem and lots of warm welcoming smiles. Good menu with wide selection of meals to suit all tastes and requirements. Orders placed and drinks acquired we settled into the well decorated and warm surroundings. Food arrived in due course and all the meals ordered were exceptionally good. The Aberglais Chicken was simply outstanding (apparently it is a very popular order - not surprising!!) Desserts were home made and again were superb. A really superb end to our stay in the area. Thank you for making us so very welcome and giving us the exceptional service you all did. Much appreciated. whilst having our meal the phone kept ringing with people trying to book ahead - some were successful but a number were told that the particular evening and time they requested was not available - so book well ahead if you can,

Food was fantastic, especially the vegetarian options. The chips especially beautiful, and lentil cottage pie. On top of this, the staff were hilarious and friendly, we felt so welcome we came 2 days in a row.

Breakfast was a bit small Atmosphere was ruined by staff who were complaining about a man walking past with dogs Was out of place As the man was doing nothing wrong And could not defend himself Totally unprofessional from the staff would not recommend

A quick visit while returning home, and found staff friendly, as we hadn't booked a table found a place in the snug. Chose pub classics of fish and chips, and lasagna, both did not disappoint, as the fish was moist and the lasagna had flavoursome beef.. and although only a brief visit would recommend the short diversion from the A roads.

Food was awful, hard chips and cold hard pie, expensive for size of meal, child’s portion. Very disappointing, wouldn’t go here again

Absolutely brilliant from start to finish! I originally started off speaking to a lovely lady called Peggy and then also her partner and other family members looking to book our works Christmas party and from the very beginning it was done with ease, they gave us everything we wanted. The room was decorated so pretty, the singer was so good, the staff were all lovely and so accommodating and the buffet was delicious! Thank you so much to everyone at the guest keen for making our night so lovely 🎄❄️

Booked a takeaway as we got married and literally wanted a chilled out xmas day. I have been having food here fro 20 plus years and although it's not the same i thought we would have xmas takeaway easier all around. Collected xmas eve small queue took home stored correctly delivered one to my mother. Christmas morning i tried to dish up and was met by the worst dinner possible. The smell of vinegar hit you as you opened the tray. All our dinners ruined rang boxing day to be told only one of 400 plus who had complained and my fault for not storing correctly. Manager available at 12:30. Drove over 2pm no manger and not replying to her staff. Extremely poor overall as one our xmas dinner was ruined and we had no food shop due to wedding and illness. What happens to family's who may have no been able to replace / afford this waste. Eventually had a refund again not manager decision. I will never return again. Disgusting and maybe more careful off how veg is stored / cooler held as it was defo the veg that fermented the whole tray bad management with no suppprt for frontline staff who had to deal with this today

My wife and I came across this village pub whilst coming back from penyfan , we popped in for Sunday dinner and we were asked if we booked , to our delight the bar manageress managed to fit us in the large conservatory area . Within 2 minutes a young girl came over and took our order and within 10 mins had the best Sunday dinner to date , it was mouthwatering, the beef was so tender . When we were about to pay for our food we noticed it was cash only ( our fault for not looking because there was signs everywhere) and again the staff couldn't do enough for us they even gave us a lift to the nearest cashpoint. The manager was very knowledgeable about the area telling us about other walks in the area . We will be going back has its our new favourite pub . 10 out 10 from start to finish.

Woman that works there spends more time outside smoking than in the shop working , enough to put you off your grub before you enter the shop

Table for 2. Food very poor, over cooked and poorly presented. Nice lady serving but food took ages. Half hour plus for main meal to come out then another half hour waiting for my 6 year old to get a brownie although they did give him spoon to wait with, we couldn’t wait any longer so we left and took him to McDonald’s instead. Over hour and half in restaurant for a poor burger and chips

Went on a Sunday afternoon. Was very quiet. Food and drink was served quickly and exactly as expected for Wetherspoons. Some parts of the pub could do with a good clean such as the stairs.
