The best restaurants serving British food in Cathays Cardiff South Wales

Me decanté por una envoltura italiana y pastinaca y pastel de jengibre, ambos deliciosos y cuidadosamente preparados. ¡Recomendaría esta pequeña joya a cualquiera!

Mucho más rápido que el otro Greggs local en la mañana. Realmente amigable tomó mi hoja de papel para la orden de trabajo. Lo entendí rápidamente. Increíble precio con bebida incluida. Recomendaría.

Fabulous little cafe in a charming arcade .. lovely food ...staff were really helpful and friendly.

Absolutely shocking food handling. One women wearing blue gloves, cutting bacon then handling ready to eat salad stuffs without changing gloves.,didn't wash lettuce just cut it straight out of the packet and plates it. Girl on til handling money then went out back and touched sausage on a plate and bread without washing her hands. Dirty dishcloth being used to clean down surfaces and a tea towel used by numerous people to wipe hands and food prep surfaces. Am sat here watching them right now as a cook with 28 years experience and I cannot believe what I'm seeing. Absolutely disgusting, I ordered toast but won't eat it. Sporting a score of 2 on the door and place is crowded, mainly builder looking workmen. Place needs an EHO visit ASAP. You'd think with an open door and customers having clear vision of food prep and cooking etc they'd make sure they were working within food safety guidelines. Just a shame I don't work for environmental health as I'd have shut them down there and then. Don't recommend anyone eating here. They've been inspected last August and food handling was a concern then, they've obviously done nothing to improve it

First off the restaurant is now above Jackson's fish bar in the Castle Arcade - not the address (at time of writing) on this page! The place has just 5 tables is run by a team of two, who put heart, soul and passion into making a great and unique dinning experience. I was wowed by about 4 of the 6 courses (and the others were great as well). It is an experience restaurant - expect to be there for 3 hours - the restaurant isn't flash. The chef wants a relaxed "normal" environment. It's not posh. And I loved the whole experience all the more for it. A memorable night and some amazing food.

Atmosphere is wonderful and very peaceful, food is passable. Staff are quiet and helpful. Ordering process is uniquely hands off. I had some nice banana pancakes for a late breakfast; however my review is necessarily poor because after my last visit ended I was violently ill when I got home for roughly 20 minutes, and then voided my bowels for another 10. As such I can’t recommend you eat here.

The best salads! Amazing variety and portion sizes. Friendly team.

Had a roast here last week it was good, so took friends yesterday. 7 of us in total. Nothing was as good as last week, only had 2 starts left, despite us booking for 14:30, about 5 unavailable. Beef was poor compared to last week, in flavour & portion, so much gristle, no nice meat. Staff not up to date on drink promotions. Thats when you could find someone to serve. Bringing desserts with lunch leftovers on table is not good. Shame you really let yourself down. We had to look online for happy hour, as waitress didn’t know times. Seriously 😦 Please don’t reply with excuses - but make efforts to do better.

Food average, more staff needed in bar. Need to stock basic drinks

Best pub food i have had in years!!! 1st visit and what an impression our server Sally was excellent went above and beyond to make us comfortable and happy! Will definitely be returning

Fui aquí con algunos compañeros de trabajo.La comida era deliciosa, realmente disfruté el plato de lubina que tuve aunque pensé que había demasiadas habas que venían con él. Me encantó la presentación y la vajilla.El ambiente era bueno y el personal estaba realmente encima de asegurarse de que tuviéramos suficientes bebidas, etc. Todo estaba bien explicado al principio y me sentí cómodo yendo allí.¡Definitivamente lo recomendaría!

Marvellous Veggie breakfast, with amazing (home made, I think) Glamorgan Sausage. Not to be missed. Great service, great value. All round recommended. Fab place. And Staff lovely, as you would expect from Cardiff people. (I live in Manchester!!)

Great value lunch menu good range of alcohol free drinks, great customer service will definitely book again soon
