Está muy bien organizado y fue fácil seguir las nuevas pautas. El servicio era perfecto, como siempre, y la lubina con brócoli y habas era deliciosa. Me alegro de haber elegido Twenty nine para nuestra primera comida desde el cierre.

Good menu and really nice food. Ambience is very comfortable and staff and service very good. Made us feel very welcome and not rushed despite the restaurant being really busy on match day.

Convenient easy meeting place with very tasty menus for our group and reasonably priced. This was the second time we had been to Twenty Nine Park Place and we were not disappointed.Friendly and efficient service with no pressure on us to rush through our meal.Will definitely use this restaurant again.

Enjoyed a small portion of risotto, colleagues had fish and chips and burger. Was quite envious of the chips - they looked really tasty! Portions could have been a little bigger. The waiter did query my request for parmesan to go with risotto! Very quiet.

I was treating my son and friends to lunch and they thought the beef brisket was beautifully tender, and the fish and chips tasty. My daughter and I opted for vegan options to try something different and unfortunately were disappointed. My butternut squash burger was unexciting and the vegetable crumble tasteless - and the potatoes were hard. Its a shame because it is a lovely setting and the other meals were lovely.

Had lunch here with two friends after reading positive reviews on Trip Advisor and was not disappointed. Service was friendly and efficient with a really relaxed ambience and as we were meeting for a catch up it was good not to feel rushed. The food was excellent and well presented. Would really recommend - and good location adjacent to the University and Museum and very close to the city centre.

Booked a table for two as a treat before attending a show at a nearby theatre. I had the three course pre theatre menu,my friend chose of the main menu. The three course I had were not only generous portions but absolutely delicious, my friend was just as delighted with his choice too. Friendly,efficient staff and a cosy atmosphere. I will most definitely return.

Anoche fui a comer y tomar una copa con mi esposa. La cerveza era muy buena, se sentó y ordenó dos comidas.Mi esposa tenía un curry de camote y yo tenía un curry de Kiev. Ambas comidas fueron absolutamente deliciosas.Estamos muy contentos de haber encontrado un lugar en Cardiff que ofrece todo lo que esperaríamos.El mejor pub, buena cerveza y comida de primera clase. 5 estrellas en este.

Not normally one to give a review but the lamb hash was out of this world and definitely a hit on a cold and wet autumn day. Along with the Discovery near Roath Park this is what “gastropubs” should be aiming for. Good food, good beer, friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere.

Lovely decor, very tasty and different food, friendly staff. Great place to visit with a group of friends. Different from other chain pubd that have been here before.

I cannot recommend 29 Park Place highly enough, all three courses were fantastic. The chicken Kiev with curry gravy was outstanding and the snickers tart stood out as one of my favourite desserts I’ve ever had.

Food, place and staff all excellent, first visit on a Wednesday steak night but I thinking we could soon be regulars...

Popped in to take advantage of the mid week deal which is £17.50 for steak and wine. Service was good from the outset and we got a table straight away. We ordered a rib eye and sirloin, both with chips and a glass of house red. Both were very good quality but frustratingly they were a bit over seasoned and would have been perfect had it not been for being a bit too salty. Such a shame when the meat is clearly good quality.

We ate here recently with friends and enjoyed the evening.

20th July 2019 - a university reunion - 11 of us. Excellent service and very good food - i had a delicious ribeye steak - perfectly cooked and clearly good quality meat. There's quite a buzz about the place - it's popular so I guess booking ahead would be sensible (as we did of course bearing in mind our numbers). Pretty casual too. All in all a very good experience. Recommended.

Had an early evening dinner before a concert, We were put at our booked table but waiter suggested a different table which was great. A little slow coming to take orders for drinks and chat to us about the menu but apart from that delicious food and wine in a nice atmosphere

Visited for the second time since the new owners took over about 11 months ago on a Saturday early evening - plenty of spare tables but a good atmosphere. The waiter with an impressive hipster beard gave some helpful recommendations including a personal endorsement of the IPA which was excellent. We selected a combination of the nibble dishes as a shared starter. All were unusual but very good - particularly the crispy cockles and the hummus which was accompanied with both crisp bread and French bread. The main course of hake with potato cake a peas was well cooked, pleasantly presented and satisfyingly filling. Despite being on the expensive side of pub food it was well worth paying.

Took my Dad here for an early Father’s Day lunch. Had the set menu which is well priced at £19.50 for three courses. The food was immaculately presented, the service flawless and nothing was too much trouble. Portions were great and the taste was amazing (especially the ginger pudding!) will definitely be back!

I've been coming to 29 park place every Friday lunchtime for the past year (weekly Friday lunch catch up) and every week we consistently receive great service, magnificent beer and superb food.

It was very quiet during our visit on a Monday evening on the last Monday in April.

I contacted Twenty Nine Park Place from the Netherlands to organize a private dinner for my parents’ golden wedding anniversary. The preparation, the 5 course dinner, the surroundings and the service was excellent. Our theme was back to 1969 - the restaurant served traditional courses in a modern way. Great!!! We will definitely come back when we are in Cardiff.

Had a lovely walk around Bute Park with some friends and our dogs. Got to the restaurant and our reserved table by the window. We had a lovely meal and great attentive service. Made the whole day extra enjoyable. Being a dog owner and enjoying taking him out with us means having a smart venue to eat in with our dog is very special. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone regardless if you have a dog or not as non dog owners are also catered for in the restaurant.

The venue is wonderful with loads of natural light and a clean comfortable feel. The food was outstanding and priced very fairly, I will be returning without any doubt and would recommend Twenty Nine Park Place to everyone!

Went here with some friends for food. Lucky there was a few for us and it ment I got to try a little bit of everything aswell as my own beef.

Rarely leave reviews but when the knife and fork group took over this place I was so excited. It doesn’t disappoint. Quality food, great ingredients, relaxed dining, brilliant. Great to see excellent service staff as well bringing this venue back to life :-)

Me and my mates had an awesome time here on a busy Saturday evening. Even though we didn't have a reservation for a birthday dinner we still gor excellent service. An excellent place to start off a fun night :)

We celebrated my daughter's birthday here and had a great experience. The decor is comfortable and we had a lovely alcove to ourselves. The food was excellent which everyone enjoyed including the vegetarians in our party. The service and staff were superb. Thoroughly recommended.

1st visit of many, cannot thank you enough. Staff went above and beyond for us. Visited on what was the busiest night in Cardiff due to Wales v Ireland last game of the six nations. Yes, Wales did us proud!!

A group of us came here on a Wednesday night having not visited since Christmas - we wanted to try their usual menu as we enjoyed our Christmas meal so much.

Went there for a birthday meal. Loved the building, decor and set up.Service was superb and the food amazing, particularly my veggie wellington, my husband loved the brisket. Looking forward to our next visit soon.

We decided to give this place a go for a meal on New Years Eve. Correct decision it seems, we had a fantastic time and would recommend the place to anyone. Menu was good with ample choice, service was excellent. We have visited other venues in the group previously and also had good experiences.

Firstly I will comment that perhaps reviewing an establishment on the last Black Friday before Christmas may not be reflective of their business on the other 364 days of the year! Unfortunately whether just choice selection everyone was disappointed with their starters but the overall consensus was the mains & desserts were amazing.

Friendly, courteous staff with good knowledge of their well cooked, well presented food. The menu is sufficiently different so as to be intriguing but not off-putting. The staff have that great knack of being around when needed but otherwise left us to enjoy our food and drinks, which made it a very relaxed meal. A gem of a place to eat and drink.

Lovely Christmas lunch here last week. I didn’t have a starter but settled on the turkey with all the trimmings and cheese for dessert.

This was our first time to eat here since it has been taken over by the Knife & Fork Food Ltd, although we have visited for drinks recently. We started with Ox cheek Scotch egg and the “Giant Scallop” both of which were very well cooked and tasted wonderful. For our main course we had Thyme poached sole and cornfed chicken with sides of new potatoes and spinach all washed down with a bottle (rather 3 plastic glasses as bottles cannot be served on a match day!) of the Sierra Alta Malbec. The mains were also tasty although my sole dish did seem to become a little dry as I ate my way through it. As far a decent pub dining goes this place is worth a visit.

Roast was fantastic with beef being beautifully cooked. Beers were numerous and varied which we loved The decor was tasteful and the staff were as good as can be Thank you for making our family meal perfect We will definitely return when next in Cardiff

We arrived for a pre-theatre dinner - the restaurant does not have a pre-theatre menu and I think they may be missing a trick as they are very close to the New Theatre where we were headed.

We have been regular diners since the restaurant/bar underwent a revamp a few months ago. The food and atmosphere are both excellent; with a great selection of beers also. Great new addition to the city and in a lovely location, opposite the museum and near the fantastic Kooywood art gallery.

This restaurant has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The staff are really helpful and quick to respond to requests. The food is excellent and there is a good choice for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters. The wines are reasonably priced and there is a very good selection of real ales.

Booked a table for ten people to celebrate a family birthday on a beautiful autumn Sunday afternoon. Very friendly and efficient welcome and the table was setup very nicely. The Sunday roast is probably in the running for best in Cardiff at the moment and the family members over from London were very impressed with their meals! The venue is very relaxed and stylish and the prices are reasonable for the quality.

A lovely stylish bar-restaurant for any time of day. Loved the Viognier-Muscat wine, then went for the special offer, £15 for steak or hake plus glass of wine or pint. Served with chunky chips, salad, mushrooms and tomatoes. Hake was excellent. So glad I was persuaded to try a pudding, as the pastry chef knows his stuff and the trio of desserts with coffee was truly delicious. His vanilla macarons are something else. Thanks to Gareth and Phil for their knowledge of the menu and for looking after us so well.

Our first visit here, being regulars of their sister pub, The Conway. This place is new and well worth a visit for any foodies. The beer and wine choices are excellent too. The prices are excellent and the service is friendly and professional... we’ll definitely be back

Discovered this place due to visiting the Conway in Pontcanna which has consistently good food (and serve the best burgers in Cardiff). They are both run by Knife and Fork food.

We booked and pre-ordered food for a table of 20. The pre-ordering was a really easy process, the food was great and everyone in the party had a great afternoon.

This venue changes its name on a regular basis, having been in here in both of its previous incarnations, it is really only the name that changes. The place is a big barn of a bar with food on the side. It seems to have more in common with an airport lounge than a good quality restaurant. Food was pretty ordinary. If I had not been with others may well have left earlier.

I loved the atmosphere here, and would definitely return for cocktails as they were great. We ate from the Christmas menu here and it was a bit lacklustre. Celeriac soup was great just as you'd expect, but the turkey was very disappointing. Nice presentation as it was stuffed turkey breast wrapped in bacon, but the ratio was out and I had hardly any turkey on the cut, as did a few of my friends plates. It tasted good, but there wasn't enough of it. Vegetables were overcooked, thats a matter of preference though. Gravy was homemade but was poor, not a great taste and was lacking.

We had our office Christmas party in the Loft room at 29 Park Place on Friday evening. We were all very impressed with your venue, food and the staff could not do enough to accommodate us. Being the organiser, I found you all very helpful and it was very easy to arrange with you.

I recently organised a hen do here and the service was excellent. Staff were so helpful and friendly from start to finish. The room was perfectly decorated, they went above and beyond to make this a special occasion for us. The prosecco flowed, the food was stunning and the atmosphere was fun and relaxed. We booked our works Xmas do here and the booking process was very friendly, informative and above everything, efficient. When it came to the meal we were made welcome from start to finish. I had no expectation of food as normally group bookings are not up to scratch however 29 Park Place smashed that mind set out of the water! The service was second to non and the food was exemplary. 20ish adults and a dozenish kids for three course Christmas dinner should have been a logistical nightmare. It wasn't. The team at 29 Park Place smashed it! Food was delicious, drinks are always good (Sagres is a treat), and the complimentary mulled wine was an absolute delight! Bravo to all the guys and gals at 29 Park Place for a fab day!

Another great Christmas meal here with the gang (second year in a row). Have been looked after all day and had a superb time. Family friendly and superb food and drinks, can’t ask for any more.

I'll give a fair and honest review I booked online and when I arrived at 1700hrs there was no booking but to be fair they quickly found us a table and said it's not a problem happy days.

Came here for drinks on Friday night. Cocktails were stunning and the two for one deal was great. I was served by a friendly ginger barman (didn't get his name) who helped me pick out a drink. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere! Most Impressed.

This has become a staple work place outing for us!

Recently ate here( last Friday) and had a lovely Burger and chips. Have always had a good time at the venue when having a drink with friends, but this was my first time eating here and the food is as good as the drinks and the atmosphere. Would be happy to recommend this venue to anyone, and already have.

Came here today with my 7 year old son for lunch... they had no kids menu , but did small version of adults , so my son & I wanted a burger. They were both similar size , patty made on Premises. Juicy , tasty , medium cooked - perfect! One of the best burgers in Cardiff !

We came with a wriggle voucher, which meant we had two Sunday lunches for a discounted price. We got to the restaurant and ordered a roast pork and lamb roast dinner- no menus as the printer had broken and no drinks on tap as the pump / air had broken. All fine so we didn’t have ciders or beers and had diet cokes instead.

The food was reasonable but they have definitely taken advantage of their placement to bank in on non-repeat customers. Food is nice enough but served in enormous white plates to make it feel fancier than it is. I had the mushroom & wild garlic gnocchi which was tasty enough but a bit gloopy; could have done with a bit more flavour than CHEEEESE, maybe another veg than mushroom?? I also ordered the garlic bread. Was super disappointed. Pretty poor quality bread, not much of it, soaked in garlicky oil, worth half the amount charged. The beer was nice if a little overpriced. Also not providing an ensuring 'V' next to veggie dishes is a cop-out.

Booked a Prosecco Brunch at 29, it was any choice off the brunch menu plus unlimited prosecco for 90 mins. We were a large group and in fairness the staff kept the prosecco coming whilst we ate, before and after. The food wasn't bad, most people had the pancakes which went down well.

We decided on 29 Park Place for our wedding party. It's stylish, unique and a great format for the 200 or so guests that we invited.

Had an amazing wedding reception last September everyone that came enjoyed themselves with the help of the staff and entertainment would recommend to anyone cheers guys! And yes were still married!😉😘

Met up with family on Sunday 1st October. It was crazy busy because of the Cardiff Half Marathon but we ordered a few cups of tea which were served promptly and the waitress served us with a smile. Awesome atmosphere and if you were aching after the run 'Agile Therapy' were set up out back for the all important after race sports massage x thanks guys x loved it as always

Went with my family following the Cardiff 1/2 marathon and loved the feel to the place. The service was brilliant and they made us welcome from the time we stepped into the venue until the time we left. We had the burger's and the fish options and both were fantastic value for money. I don't normally eat the batter of the fish but this was second to none and I are the lot. Have booked our Christmas works party there as was so impressed. Keep it up 29's!

I visited 29 Park Place for a coffee and I can safely say it knocked the spots off the usual suspects - Starbucks e.g..al. Lovely relaxed atmosphere too...

Excellent welcome and service from the moment I arrived lovely clean venue. nothing is too much trouble food outstanding drinks (cocktails) outstanding will definitely be visiting again.

We booked this venue for our staff event to celebrate two of our senior directors being in the business for 30 years. Menu choices were selected in advance and I liaised with the staff at the venue with regards to minimum decoration and room set-up for the event which was held on a Thursday evening @ 7pm. The food was good and the drinks flowed; to mark the occasion we had also invited along some old staff members and this went down well. I would recommend this venue for a laid back feel and can honestly our group thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I would consider this venue for similar events in the future or for a night out with friends or as a couple.

Service was good and they sat us even though they had a weeding party booked in and was extremely busy.

Had a lovely evening at Park Place for a family wedding reception a couple weeks ago. We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere all thanks to the friendly and attentive staff. The conservatory and garden patio were perfect for mingling and entertaining, and the kids loved the table-top shuffle board. Thank you all for your amazing hospitality - this is definitely a place to return when in Cardiff.

We had the best, most relaxed experience thanks to 29 Park Place and its wonderful staff, especially Ami. They have all had a huge amount patience and care from the beginning to end. All food was set-up beautifully when we got there, and guests enjoyed all food prepared!

I came here to celebrate my 30th birthday and originally was emailing with Ami, who was so lovely and helpful - she made everything very easy even when I had to change details of my reservation a number of times! Then I spoke with a lovely lady on the phone - sorry I missed your name! But she was also extremely helpful! Then when I arrived Charlotte and Dom made everything run so smoothly, it really couldn't have gone any better. They were so professional, fun and kind. The food was great, the service was brilliant and the drinks were kept flowing. - The only thing I promised not to mark them down for was how my head would hurt the next day! haha! (and it did!) But honestly, we all had a wonderful time, I would not hesitate to recommend and will definitely be back :) Thank you all again for your wonderful service! Steph x
