We were visiting in the area and fancied a cooked breakfast. We were seated quite quickly & ordered 2 full breakfasts including drinks & continental breakfast. Continental breakfast included yoghurts, fruit, croissants, pancakes, toast, cereals etc. There wee juices on offer and tea/coffee. The cooked breakfast a waitress came and took your order, disappointed that everyone else around us, their orders has been taken and they sat down after us, so i asked and then someone came out. The cooked breakfast took over half an hour to come out and we were sat in the restaurant for an hour & a half in total. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed it. It was £10.99 each which was good value.

Friendly, warm and inviting atmosphere in the heart of Dolgellau.

My first visit, a pleasant place only open for lunch, I had fish and chips, fish was beautifully cooked but very sparse with the chips, friend had the steak pie which is made on site and looked lovely, menu is basic, but we enjoyed our meal, would be nice to return on a nice day and eat outside and take in the views

Popped in for a sandwich. I wouldn't say it was brilliant and consider for the money paid it was way overpriced. My partner had a sandwich which cane in a box with salad which he couldn't eat as they'd covered the salad in some weird black dressing nb nowhere on the menu does it state it comes with dressing. The food was OK but for the price I think it was way overpriced.. £25 for two sarnies a soggy portion of chips and two drinks is way way overpriced. I also wasn't keen on the boxes it was served in either. We probably wouldn't use it again. Also far too many signs in loo forbidding you washing anything other than hands (really) and threatening fines if you wash anything other than hands, I d like to see that stand up in court tbh

Hadn’t been here for a long time as the food wasn’t good, I’d heard good reports now so I ventured in, my god what a pleasant surprise, the fish and chips were amazing, the shop was clean and bright and the price of £10 was ok as the portion was really generous

We've just returned from our 3rd visit to Royal Goat Hotel and can't wait to return, Manasa and her team made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, our room was very clean and comfortable with tea and coffee available, also toiletries provided in bathroom, bar facilities and food menu very good, dog friendly, wonderful location.

Stunning location excellent little pub. Makes me laugh reading some of these reviews complaining about having to wait an hour for food mid August! Busiest time of the year so give the staff a break!!! Not returning some of the comments here. Well Im sure you won’t be missed!!

Ordered the Beer Battered Fish & Chips, nice batter on the fish with a good crunch, nothing amazing, chips okay. Also got a Seafood Linguine, not nice at all, taste of gone of milk or something along those lines. Took roughly 30mins for food to come. Bar staff and waiters seem friendly enough and the venue seems like an ok place for a quick pint but we won’t be coming back for the food and wouldn’t particularly recommend.

Had a coupla beers here, they dragged the large bean bags out for us. There was just the 2, I felt very privileged 🫅 Everyone was walking past greedily eyeing them up, before they took to their hard chair 🤭 I was so disappointed when it began to rain & we had to give them up. This place is one of my fave’s. I’d only popped back to get some of their lovely food but we couldn’t sit on the benches with the rain. We returned a few weeks later but they’d closed until spring. I can wait.

Ok for a stop off didn’t order food as staff was overwhelmed with the amount of customers did manage to get a warm hot drink. Sadly the toilets were horrid and had all been closed for cleaning once the young lady opened them again they were still dirty and lacking toilet roll so made our way over the road to the public loos. Great views comfortable seating and that’s where it ends sadly.
