The best restaurants serving British food in North Wales

Great pub on the way to Ruthin. Tried to book Sunday Roast since food looked great but no chance.

Lovely little pub,friendly staff, nice pint off carling not flat,me and my girlfriend had 2 Lovely Sunday dinner's piping hot would highly recommend food was amazing.

We tried here for lunch, on the terrace overlooking the beach. The staff were friendly, there was a good selection of menu choices (from burgers to Thai green curry), and the prices were just right. I’ve no idea if there were vegan or vegetarian choices as I’m a diehard meatatarian. The service was fast and efficient. Nice staff, nice food, nice drinks, nice view…give it a go you won’t be disappointed.

We have just had a pre Xmas 3 course Xmas Dinner including coffee and mince pie. It was absolutely delicious and was even cheaper than our local pub/restaurants. Friendly staff, lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings. Well worth a visit

We stopped here for a snack and ordered 2 lattes, cheese on toast and a crumble with custard. The place itself is lovely with lots of lovely cat ornaments and nice and clean. The food is overpriced and not very nice. The cheese on toast was so pale and bland that my husband had to add so much sauce on it. It wasn’t toasted properly and looked like it had been microwaved. The lattes were sachets and not very nice. The crumble was standard. Service was ok Surroundings were lovely

Visited today as first time in area, it’s definitely more suited to the older community. Based on the types of food available etc but.. Felt food was not bad and at end of day it hit the the spot Price wise seemed a little steep to be honest but is what it is Doubt I’d return but if you just need a quick bite it’s worth a pop in

A spectacular hotel. We feel lucky to have had the opportunity to have stayed here. Rooms were spotlessly clean, the bathrooms were fantastic (had a lovely long soak in the roll top baths). Boutique hotels try to recreate these features, this hotel has them for real. The staff were so polite, professional and helpful, showing us to the outside swimming lake and sauna. I can’t say enough to praise this gem of a hotel. I strongly recommend booking here. Excellent cask ale at the bar too Helpful notes: Breakfast is at 8:30 Dinner is at 7:30 There is WiFi

The Fruits de Mer dish was probably the worst plate of food put in front of me, ever. The oyster resembled flegm, the crab looked like a burnt offering, and the two scallops were undercooked, unseasoned and tasteless.

The receptionist behind the counter I think her name was Sarah as one of the customers had said to me that was sat next to me she was quite rude and when each time when answering the phone calls rolling her eyes 👀 and was mocking the customers ringing to place the food disgusting behaviour

Popped in for a quick lunch on a Saturday with our dog. Bit of a strange layout in the bar with formal seating mixed with a large children's play area. There was only one other couple in so also very quiet. We ordered two chicken caesar salads described as coming with herby croutons and boiled egg, what we got was 2 garlic chicken salads with cucumber, peppers, tomatoes, onion etc in a honey mustard dressing. They were very nice but bore absolutely no resemblance to caesar salads and no explanation as to why the difference. At £7.95 each we were happy with what we got but we wouldn't return because of the lack of choice on the menu and the random decor.

Ellos intentan hacer de este un restaurante especial, pero realmente no lo es. Diseño, las vistas y el ambiente son muy sencillas. Servicio es sincero, pero confundido. El menú es bueno y variado, pero la calidad de la comida es mediocre como pre-postres empacados y una selección de quesos en envolturas de cera. Podría haber sido mucho mejor.

Heather and Micheal produce really super meals. They are always so helpful nothing too much bother very professional.

Lovely local pub with excellent beer and food. Great beer garden and very helpful staff!
