Popped in for a quick lunch on a Saturday with our dog. Bit of a strange layout in the bar with formal seating mixed with a large children's play area. There was only one other couple in so also very quiet. We ordered two chicken caesar salads described as coming with herby croutons and boiled egg, what we got was 2 garlic chicken salads with cucumber, peppers, tomatoes, onion etc in a honey mustard dressing. They were very nice but bore absolutely no resemblance to caesar salads and no explanation as to why the difference. At £7.95 each we were happy with what we got but we wouldn't return because of the lack of choice on the menu and the random decor.

Good basic food at a reasonable price. Had a massive burger. Tasted as it should. Good chips. Decor needs a bit of an update but service good.

We were just wandering around Betwys and wanted somewhere to stop for a cup of tea etc and didn't want a fast food or posh type, full meal restuarant. This cafe is right at the end of the road, away from the main row of restuarants and wouldn't normally be an obvious choice. There are a couple of tables outside but a lot more at the side and back. There is not a great choice of food but lots of snacks and cakes and the sausage rolls were very good. The service was good and it was a comfortable place to sit and eat rather than the crowded, overpriced fast food places or the up themselves, overrated yuppy type establishments along the main row of eateries. I would certainly recommend this as a cup of tea and sausage roll type of cafe, reasonable prices and good, friendly service.

We were looking for a meal without any planning and found the two steak meals for £20 an interesting prospect, the food turned out to be, cooked as requested, reasonably well presented, perhaps a little lacking in atmosphere, but that was not a big issue. The offer was good value and seemed to be very popular.

We have stayed here often over the years and recently. I have always managed to book a "hostel" room at the rear of the hotel with breakfast included, before exploring Snowdonia. The evening meals we had were hot well presented and reasonably priced. It was busy, and we were eating at a very small round bar type table which was not ideal. The food/drinks and service were very good. A major "booking" factor is the free parking at the rear of the hotel, and access to the hotels restaurant/bar areas, even if you are in the hostel accomodation. Pleasant visit and polite service, a good experience.

I had the pate to start which I really enjoyed having been deprived of pate for many years where I have been living. My wife had soup. We both went for the lamb shank with mashed potato. Very enjoyable. the young lad behind the bar / waiting was very enthusiastic and worked hard to keep us and the 4 other tables well served.

I stopped here for dinner recently and enjoyed the visit, I found the staff friendly and the food was good value and tasty too. There was some good specials and a varied menu. The hotel also has a large lounge area and a Bar and Games room at the rear of the Hotel. Well worth a stop when in Betws if you enjoy Hotel style hospitality!

Came here for lunch with my family. Never been in before so thought would give it a try. The food was okay pretty much average, u could tell that the lasagna wasn't home made and was from the microwave from literally the way it had been plonked on the plate. Very quiet inside considering how busy betws was. Bit old fashioned. The very young waitress seemed unsure of a lot of things.

We've been dining here as a larger group, which was a lot of fun, however it took over 45min for the food to come out. As I'm not into the typical english pub food, I've ordered a mushroom risotto. I've actually counted 10 small pieces of mushrooms and the rest was only a salty rice. No mushroom flavour whatsoever. Extremely disappointed as it took ages to get the food and then when you're really hungry, you get something what doesn't even taste good at all. Wouldn't recommend to someone who cares about a good and tasty food.

Excellent food. We really enjoyed our evening. But lucky that we were not in a hurry. The service was a bit slow, but a very relaxing evening in a nicely furnished contemporary place.Nice staff and some of them were Welsh speaking as well. Diolch.Reasonably priced food, and a bilingual wine list. Very impressive!Plenty of choice of curry on a Friday night either with chips or rice or even half and half. Only £8.95.I can highly recommend this place.

We called in as we were staying at the Riverside caravan site. The price for a main course of Sunday lunch is £8.95 and you can add starters and desserts to that if you desire (and I recommend that you do!). We had a short wait for a table so had a drink in the nicely refurbished bar area, there's also a lounge area if you prefer. When we walked in we were welcomed warmly which is always a bonus, and after our drink we were shown into the dining room which is nicely decorated, traditional but also clean and fresh. After perusing the menu, we ordered and the food duly arrive. Both starters, pate and garlic mushrooms were excellent and we'll presented. The mains were equally as good, with my beef being nicely pink and my partners lamb the same, portion size was excellent. The mains came with mashed and roast potatoes, along with a good, perfectly cooked selection of vegetables. We decided to have dessert and both the creme brulee and whatever my partner had(I've forgotten!) were both great ringing the meal to a happy conclusion. Must mention the staff who were smiley and chatty, both in the bar and the restaurant, good staff really make a difference, and the ladies and gents concerned really added to the ambience. If you're in the area, I'd highly recommend this establishment, food is excellent and there's a nice atmosphere. We were hoping to go back for their steak night (two steaks and all the trimmings plus a bottle of house wine for£20),but sadly time ran away with us and we didn't get there, but we will return!

Two visits for evening meals here and one afternoon reception impressed us with the quality of the food, reasonable prices of drinks and most of all the pleasant service, especially Sam behind the bar.

I was camping outside Betws-y-Coed and decided to walk down to the town itself and get a bite to eat, the inside is very well presented and clean, I was wearing walking gear but was welcomed inside. I ordered a steak ciabatta which was beautifully cooked and well presented and at 5.95 I felt was very good value for money and as a food professional I know what I'm talking about!

Delicious food and staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We arrived for lunch in a fluster with a hungry baby and an elderly dog on a very wet Tuesday. From the moment we walked in the lobby the staff were lovely, finding us a table in a suitable area and giving us the time and space to get sorted. There was no hurry to order and they bought us coffee and water to heat the baby’s food before we ordered. Once calm was restored and we ordered the service continued to impress and the food was delicious and fairly priced. Credit to all at the hotel.

2 of the main courses were unavailable. The vegetables for the lamb course were unavailable. Alternative vegetables were given which were undercooked and cold. Potato was tasteless and cold . Did mention it to waiter whose response was sorry. £24 for a piece of lamb is unacceptable as I didn't eat the vegetables or potatoes.

Eight adults booked a table here last Wednesday and from the second we stepped into the place we were in love with it. The elegance and charm were extraordinary. Then came the 3 course meal ! Everybody raved about every course. The service was impeccable and if I lived nearer I’d be a regular! Cannot fault one detail .
