Great pub,, good beer 🍺 and friendly staff. We arrived late and missed food, however staff allowed us to sit outside on tables, enjoy the weather and use the neighbouring takeaway,, whilst the 20 of us had several of the bars delights 🍺🍺🍺😁 Great pub, we'll be back 10/10 🌟 🤩

Only popped in for a drink so can't comment on food. Fair priced, especially for the a holiday location, service was great! Even got a pool table, that's hard to find in this day and age... All in all a good old proper pub!

Cheaper drinks than most in the area, Staff are cool, Serve a lovely Guinness too. Will definitely be back. Only gave food 2 stars as I've not tried it yet.

Lovely food and service, They don't cheat you on drinks like other pubs do nowadays, unfortunately no parking.

Terrible Staff...Particuly the Bar maid who greeted us..She needs dismissing..0 customer service skills...Barked at Us to wait as she wasnt still serving food..this was at 6.30pm?...She complained it had been hot..and the chef was tired?..When she said we could stay..we waited an age for our starter..then our main course..even though we was the only customers?..if i wasnt so hungry..i would have walked out!!..Its safe to say i womt be returning..and i would advise others not to waste their time there.

8 of us went in here for food and after waiting 20 mins for some / any service we left Not one member of staff came over Won't be back Edit: after reply, maybe put the message about ordering food at the bar on the menu on the tables then,

Went in, place was very quiet not much going on, sat down for food and had a look through menu, nobody came and asked for order and we were shown no notice

The food is absolutely amazing and very very good value for money. 3 adults and 3 children ate and we all had drinks and a starter platter and it cost £64 I think that is brilliant,the childrens meals are huge and very well presented, very tasty food, atmosphere is very relaxed and staff are friendly and very attentive.claire was super friendly and brilliant with the kids will defo be coming back soon thankyou xxx

The little blonde lad called mark or maybe cayden was a brilliant help!!

The food was absolutely fantastic, we ordered 2 Gammon Roasts and a Turkey Roast, the meat just melted in your mouth, everything about it was delicious, the staff were friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was great, we will definitely be going back.

We called for a few beers and had a great time great atmosphere

Just had Sunday roast, absolutely fabulous, tasty and plenty, tried other Sunday roast in towyn this one is the best and great value for money

Consistently fabulous food, all made from scratch. Delicious and piping hot every time A lovely team on bar kitchen and a fantastic atmosphere. Always return visits and never disappointed.

Gorgeous and freshly cooked food. None of your freezer to table here, it's all cooked from scratch and it shows. The staff are really nice and friendly. Don't be put off by the surroundings, they are dated but the place is comfortable and very clean. Once you taste the food you'll be back there time and time again. Superb!!!

Visited for food, garlic bread with cheese to share, my sister had hunters chicken and I had a cheese and bacon burger. 4 slices of garlic bread with cheese. Hunters chicken was served with chunky chips and garden peas. Burger served with fries, onion rings and salad. Absolutely gorgeous food cooked to perfection, chicken was so succulent and not too much bbq sauce. Burger was perfect. Service was amazing, would definitely recommend for food

Wish we'd found this place at the beginning of our caravan holiday, the staff where so friendly and welcoming, the menu had a good variety, the portions sizes were amazing how they do it for the money is beyond me, will definitely call again if in the area.

Visited while on holiday just popped in for a drink it was beautiful with original features of fire and old fashioned kitchen it was very busy with food orders will visit again on our next holiday in Wales

Had an amazing night, staff very helpful polite and chatty. Great selection of music from the dj which made the atmosphere awesome. Plenty of choice and the shots are definitely worth trying. Would recommend this place to anyone as I personally couldn't find any faults

An amazing Sunday lunch, the beef was amazing and plentiful, large portions to satisfy even the greediest of our group. Sadly we were truly beaten and couldn’t manage the pudding. Drinks well priced and great staff, even dog friendly in the bar, what more could you want!!

As a place to stay,an apartment we had above the pub, amazing,5 stars,very large well presented place with 5/6 bedrooms all with ensuite facilities, there's a hot tub on the balcony that the grandkids loved.The couple that own it are very nice folk,Jaz and I do apologize to her husband as I can't remember whether it was Peter or not, sorry, but great people. The pub had karaoke on some nights which I like, good variety of drinks but a little on the expensive side though your not on holiday every week are you.Only had one meal there, Sunday dinner. I'm a person that religiously wants a Sunday dinner and this although the rest of the family said it was nice (I can only say they're not as traditional as me and my wife) was my disappointment ,the plate was overloaded with a soggy cooked warm red cabbage and a watery sort of cheesy leek looking substance, these two items where kind of on top of the rest of your meal, which if you weren't used to these quite undesirable looking things or didn't like them, which you didn't know were going to be part of your Sunday dinner,then you weren't going to enjoy it which me and the wife didn't.A traditional Sunday dinner is what's needed here, or at least a printed out itemized meal so folk can see what they are likely to get on their plates allowing them to decide whether to have it or not or state an item they don't want putting on their plates.

We came in as we've grown up having holidays in Towyn and neither been in this pub. We wanted food, my husband wanted a Sunday dinner but I didn't fancy one. I wanted a burger. Didn't start off great to be honest. Even tho8fh burger was on the Sunday Menu, they didn't have it and they also didn't have sausage or mash for my sons. So I was a little miffed.... but that was soon forgotten when the turkey and beef dinner came out! Honestly so full of flavour, fresh turkey. Everything just "tasted" not over boiled or over roasted. The gravy was homemade (had bits of beef in it) but wasn't so rich. Didn't want it to end! Felt like home comforts and topped off our weekend away. The place doesn't look great from the outside and is quite dated in the restaurant so first impressions aren't brilliant but honestly have the Sunday dinner and enjoy every bite! We will be back!

Went on a holiday for a week with the family away to Wales, this pub was closest and was dog friendly. First night was amazing free pool lovely young lass behind the bar who found my key which I left behind and was so kind and sweet. Unfortunately the day after we was greated to a elderly lady who first impressions was just outright horrible. Constantly dirty looks, the off hand horrible comments and just pirr horrible service from the lady was horrible. She was rude, told us that the last call was at 10.30 even though we was there till 11 the previous day which wasn't a problem but the attitude of the lady was atrocious and I felt Uncomfortable around her. The young lass the first night was amazing and great service its just a shame the lady the next day was so horrible. Even Went back the last day on the way back from a day out and the lady was working and still the same experience 10/10 services for the young lass 1/10 serive for the elderly lady

Had Sunday lunch and it was a very high standard, there was one girl behind the bar who didn't seem to want to be there and was not very helpful asked her for a bread roll and was told they only come with the soup so ended up paying £4 for a bread roll and some soup that didn't get touched, but the waitress was very nice which made up for it a little.

First time here staff are great music outside which isnt over the top really nice place to come to relax well worth a visit

Couldn't order what our daughter wanted, so she had a cheese burger, which she didn't like. I ordered a mixed grill, which was quite big, but the piece of steak was fatty and chewy prices are high but that's to be expected in a holiday town

This place is such a good night out. The girls and I were looking for a pub in Towyn to have a few drinks for my hen. It was only by passing that we ended up in the wendover. We are so glad we popped in. The atmosphere was amazing, the DJ was fantastic, staff lovely. Such a great place to go. By far the best place in town to have a drink!!!

read the reviews said dog friendly, got there was turned away couldnt go in with our dog, wasnt happy at all should not advertise dog friendly at all, wouldnt go back ever.

Been to the wendover many times and the staff are always friendly polite and helpful The food is fantastic and the chefs go above and beyond to accommodate your requirements Well run all round it’s a must visit well done everyone

Stayed above the wendover, went in on our first night there, food was bland and tasteless. Good atmosphere though and the staff were polite and friendly.

The food here was absolutely amazing. We went as a family and they catered for all. If you are close or passing by I'd definitely recommend this place. Nothing seemed too much effort for the staff and chef's.

Went to the wendover while staying in towyn we ate there twice during our stay on the Thursday we had a meal deal where it was 2 steaks for £20 both were cooked to perfection along with everything else,as we enjoyed our meal so much we decided to go for Sunday dinner and it did not disappoint I had the beef and the wife had gammon both meals were superb so hats off to the chef,the beer was a great price for a seaside pub and bar staff amazingl will definitely return when in towyn again

Have been coming down for years now and has always been a treat, amazing drinks, food that has never disappointed, and company that undoubtedly leaves you with a smile. Highly recommend locals and tourists alike!!

Had the burger and pint today. The burger was very tasty and a double one not just a single burger . Also they were mor like quarter pounders . Would highly recommend. Have had other food from here and it is always perfect . Staff are very friendly and helpful .

Only visited for one drink good outside seating area internally didn't impress, did not have food there, so can't rate. Not impressed with selection of beers.

6 of us went for food on Sunday so they only do the Sunday menu. It was good that they didn't just do a roast dinner and had other choices because not all of us wanted a roast. We all ordered different meals. I got the burger, it was a tiny bit dry for me but it did taste amazing, got loads of fries too. Not sure if the onion rings are done in beer batter if they are maybe put it on the menu so people know, they were nice though. One of us had a roast dinner but said there was a bit too much gravy so maybe have a separate little jug or gravy boat for people to put their own gravy on. Other than those few little things, the food was lovely, fresh and you get enough on your plate, friendly, attentive staff, service was quick and it's a lovely place.

Very nice food I had a steak and it was very nice. another person in my family had lasagna and it was tasty we got a sharer and it was decent. My one knock on it was that they served the sharer (a starter) came at the same time as the mains so we did not have enough time to let the starter go through us other than that it was brilliant would recommend.

Went here for a meal, and the chef offered to make us something off the menu, a huge Yorkshire pudding with, sausage, mash , peas and onion gravy, it was perfect, I 100% recommend them the staff were so friendly and happy and welcoming , it was the best meal we have ever had in a pub, complements to the staff and chef, it was also amazing value for money

Excellent food at reasonable price! Went on Tuesday and took advantage of the burger and a pint, burgers were homemade in brioche buns, portions were massive and kids only ate for £1, had a choice and a reasonable portion, tables were clean and tidy!

Typical boozer,all about the locals.

What a lovely place this is. Food was superb so compliments to the chef or chefs, as was the service. 10/10 in our eyes, and we will be returning there tomorrow. Can’t wait!

What an absolute delight of a venue! Myself and my family visited here over the bank holiday weekend, we were staying at Henley's and decided to pop in for food on the Friday and we were not disappointed, the food was second to none and very clearly all homemade! (extra brownie points!) The staff were super helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, attentive at all times and very quick with service too. The manager Shannon was also superb with her customer service, she truly went above and beyond in helping me with my autistic son who can be a handful at times in public places, she assured us she would ask the chef if he could accommodate his picky food habits where everything has to be in separate little pots and he did, nothing was too much trouble for her and that really made the whole experience so much better as when we are out as a family and my son is understood like he was at this venue, it simply makes our day! We were so impressed we didn't eat or drink anywhere else all weekend and came back the Saturday and Sunday too, well done Shannon and team keep up the good work:-)

Amazing little pub. Staff are fabulous and well established. Came the weekend for a couple of drinks, ended staying all night and participating in the conga. Love the summers here met so many new friends.

Fantastic bar service, great music all night from the DJ, staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble and drinks are priced well!

We have a caravan in Towyn and we use the Wendover as our local. The whole team of staff are amazing, Shannon the manager makes sure everyone is enjoying themselves (and encourages the shots) home from home and always a friendly welcome. Reccomend the weekend...

We tried this based on the reviews on here & it did not dissapoint. Like previous reviews, do not judge a book my its cover. The food was AMAZING. Burger was phenomenal & probably one of the best burgers i have had. There was 8 of us & all food cooked fresh & didnt have to wait long. Waitress was friendly & approachable.

Brilliant value. We popped in as it was dog friendly and we could eat in the bar area. Don't be put off by appearances. Very clean and friendly. Lovely pub food and the chips were amazing. Excellent value for money; meals were easily £3 cheaper than on the holiday park we are staying at. Couldn't really fault the place. One thing; no mobile signal, but that's not always a bad thing!
