Talacre Beach in Flintshire

Would recommend this restaurant. Lovely food and friendly service. I wish I had more time to use this restaurant but it was closed for two days

Awful fish and chips please forgive me for my comments but you desperately need to change your oil we bought 3 lots of fish and chips from here and they were the worst we have ever had .the fish had burnt black bits in the batter and the were to soggy to eat we wasted our money on mush to be honest .we had a lovely day on the beach with relatives who live in Wales and to be honest it spoilt our evening and its made me feel sick to much oil and inedible ...

Excellent meal, could tell it was fresh and homemade. Came to the table piping hot. Very generous portions. Fabulous service from all of the staff. Absolutely ten out of ten. Cant wait to go back

Went in here Friday 23/11/19 had a lovely meal, really tasty and big portions. Went back Saturday to be told at 5.44 had 1 minute to order!! They were hosting some sort of function by the looks of it (a warning would of been nice) but the choice of jacket potato or a panini on a Saturday night wasn’t pretty poor anyway so went elsewhere.

Had a short break overall was okay. Hot tub was good. Accommodation wasn't very clean had to wash the floor as it was all sticky as we had a toddler with us who liked to play on the floor. Crockery etc not very clean either had to wash everything before use. Bathrooms could do with mold cleaning off. Showers at swimming pool just trickled so couldn't wash hair also cold. Swimming pool was good. Beach had quick sand. If it was overalled it would be good.

Visited with teens. Perfect for a meal! Good menu selection and piping hot food served! Would definitely recommend!

The refurbished restaraunt/ bar area is very good. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is very good , we are here last time we stayed at the park and found it very good. So we thought we try again and yep still spot on. Prices are reasonable not over inflated. Nice job of refurb just make sure you keep it looking good. We'll be back The Berkhoffs

The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food was delicious the atmosphere was very good cannot fault it.

We walked down to the end of the road to the 2 pubs near the beach and couldn't walk back quick enough. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and will definitely eat there again next year.

Newly refurbished restaurant, with a sofe seating area. Five of us had Sunday lunch which was very nice, nothing exciting, but good.

Miles of lovely sandy beach , with nice clean blue sea , .The walks around this area are lovely , you can have lovely field walks as well as sea side walks , and there is always enough room on the beach to be private with lots of room in between families enjoying picnics .Dogs are allowed on some parts of the beach and the sea is shallow and suitable for small children .there is plenty of car parking space and plenty places to visit to eat and drink after a full day on the beach . the walks are really amazing , and you will see lots of wildlife , we always enjoy our time here .

We called into this café after spending a couple of hours on the beach. Although we didn't try any meals on offer we did have a great cup of coffee and a slice of delicious cake. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. I would definitely visit again

One vegetarian option on the lunch time menu is very poor. Really disappointing when very all the group is having a roast dinner and they don't have nut roast option. I asked if could have all the vegetables and veggie gravy, but they didn't have veggie gravy. A vegan option should be on the me in on this day and age. The one option curry on a Sunday so if you dont like spice your screwed.

Ate here on our first evening - good atmosphere and good service. Tasty food if not particularly good value. Chicken spicy salad - tasty but spot the chicken! £10.95! Fish and chips - small portions! Child’s meal deal was probably the best value. As I say tasty but pricey for what you get.

We went on holiday for a week with the children . We got a starter from the menu my husbands chicken came out uncooked it was frozen in the middle. The rest of the meal was not great either. So we never ate there again. For the price they charge you can get a lovely pub meal . The staff where not friendly and when we sent the frozen food back the manager looked put out that we had sent the food back. The chip shop on the caravan site however was lovely descent chips .

We wanted to try this while holidaying at the park. We stood waiting for ages for a table nobody coming out to us, only one member of staff dealing with customers. Eventually we were offered the Sunday menu and when we asked after the other menus we were pointed where to get them at the bar! When I tried to ask a question about how much a single pizza would be for my son they didn’t know and had interrupted me before I finished, assuming I was asking again about menus. We sat down and as we did a lady returned her lunch, so we decided not to risk it and left!

Ate here three times during our week's stay. Each time food came quickly and was delicious. Good choice and vegetarian options for my wife. Nice airy eating area with a good atmosphere. A special shout out to Richard who served us on each occasion. If there's a more polite, efficient, friendly and well mannered waitor out there I'd like to meet them,truly excellent service.

We ate here 3 times on our weeks visit to the site and enjoyed it every time. 3 course Sunday lunch was great value at £14.95 and each course was lovely. On the other 2 visits we had the chilli burger and pizza, again at £16.95 for 2 pizzas and 2 drinks it was great value. The guy who looked after us was brilliant, seemed to know everything about what was going on in and around the park and took time to entertain our 2 year old daughter. I didn't get his name but he's a credit to the place!!

We visited here on Sunday night 18/09/17 and I must say the food was excellent... very well prepared and presented!!! A must try if you are in the area and very reasonably priced, will definitely return if we are back in your area!!!!

For what it is, it is very expensive. I was still chewing my steak the day after and the chips although crispy were cooked in burnt fat. We should have realised something as there was only one other group of 3 in the restaurant.

Had sunday lunch here not bad food but meal was a bit cold and the veg wasnt cooked properly and was hard to eat

Had a meal here on our last night at the park. Staff were lovely, friendly and very courteous. Food was beautiful and portion sizes were massive! Good value for the quality and portions.

La comida era increíble, tuvimos negro ensalada flan entrantes seguido de la cena carne asada y dulces con bebidas, este era menos de £70. 00 para 5 personas

Así que tuvimos nuestra cena aquí esta noche y me quedé muy decepcionado. Este restaurante es muy básico, con pocos platos en el menú, y no es mucho mejor que una comida congelada. Pedí pollo chasseur y el pollo tenía plumas y sabía viejo y de no mucho más. Terminé de enviar atrás, ya que me quitó y me sentí mareado. El personal no estaba seguro de nada en el menú, como se apresuraban a nosotros y nos preguntó si queríamos la ley después de nuestro plato principal sin ofrecernos el menú de postres y de nuevo después del postre antes de preguntarnos si queríamos café. Bien no comer allí, que es una cosa! ! . El personal pasó a explicar que no me cobraron por el plato principal me envió sólo el pedí después! ! Ja, ja, ja como si iba a pagar por un pollo que todavía tenía plumas? ? ? Venga, no podía creer lo que he oído, no debería haber pagado por nada, nunca importa la comida me envió.

Tuvimos nuestra comida en el restaurante la noche de nuestra estancia. La comida estaba bien, pero un poco caro para lo que te daban. Los precios del bar son lo que esperaba por la naturaleza de la empresa y ofrece una buena selección de bebidas. La zona de videojuegos fue la mejor parte y nuestra hija disfrutó mucho el tiempo que pasó jugando en las máquinas que tenían que ofrecer.

There was 21 of us in the group celebrating a birthday and we preordered the food. Food was great, didn't take too long and was a good price. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout.

Personal amable, la comida deliciosa! Tuve la cadera y también el pollo Cajun y costillas (en noches separadas, por supuesto), sin duda probar el chili y hierbas patatas con la cadera.

A lovely evening meal here, we had our last meal here before we went home the next day. The restaurant was very quiet. Lovely food and was great service. Just a bit on the expensive side.

Great food, not the cheapest but always pleased with it. Been a few times with my kids just feel that the kids deserts could be cheaper as it £3.00 for an ice cream.

Nice food & friendly staff & clean but over priced I have to say. Me my partner and children enjoyed our meals and deserts though. We visited twice for dinner.

Great food fantastic service especially with the kids. We were asked if we would like the kids meals to come out with our starters which to me is great that they know what their customers want. Very reasonably priced to suit all budgets. Even had banners and balloons for our birthday celebration

Very varied menu, fast, efficient and friendly service, well cooked and tasty food and excellent value for money. Could not fault anything about our meal - 8 very satisfied customers!

We visited this restaurant as owners of a caravan on Talacre. We booked a table for 3 of us and we're given a very small table that was very cramped.The food choice is good and we all ordered different dishes. I had the seafood platter followed by slow cooked ribs. The seafood platter was served on a wooden board and was a bit sloppy which resulted in it dribbling off the board it tasted okay though.I am not a fussy eater but I found the ribs to be very fatty and couldn't eat them.The other two dishes were okay though.This is okay for an occasional meal but it not anything special and it quite pricey.

lovely food and very well presented.plenty of choice and not over priced at all ,it can get very busy at peak times but in all fairness we did not have to wait to long at all.staff really helpful considering how busy it was .

Absolutely lovely food, great choice available . Peak times go early as they get very busy, especially when kids are on holiday. Good range of Fast foods, and steak meals, Gammon and fish dishes, so plenty of choice. Good value too.

We had a lovely meal here, it wasn't too expensive and we didn't wait long for it to come out. We both really enjoyed our meals and would recommend a visit to this restaurant. The staff were all friendly too. It was quiet as we went midweek.

This is a lovely beach where you can walk for miles. The old lighthouse is right in front of you and a "must see" feature. Many shells and pretty stones for the children to collect. The sea can go a very long way out. Free parking

loved Talacre beach. no bells and whistles just good old fashioned sea and sand! we visited on really sunny days and it felt like we were abroad. the beach is really clean and well maintained, fantastic.

A beautiful beach which is well looked after. It's got a nice lighthouse that you can have a look at, and it's also got some shops/cafes near the beach. As we came here in the evening, we were able to see the sunset which was beautiful. It was a lovely day and the beach was still busy at approx 8-9pm. Great evening!

One problem in Wales is finding a beach where the dog is free to play all year round. Well done Talacre and what a lovely place with the huge stretch of sandy beach, dunes and lovely walks. Just a pity nobody has thought to exploit the old disused lighthouse as a visitor centre, there are those who would love to explore inside. Some paint wouldn't do it any harm. We had a great family day with two dogs and the cafe near the bridge was a welcome sight, with nice friendly staff and nice reasonably priced food. We were warned not to park on the beach car park as it floods at high tide.

Weekend away in Talacre North Wales. Stayed close by, so decided to go and have a look at the beach, it was sunset so some good photo taking opportunities. Sand dunes, and clean beach, we live in a seaside town, so nice to compare. Lovely old lighthouse, privately owned I believe. Kids hadn't been to a lighthouse before, so they were pretty impressed, you could walk up the steps too. Would like to go back and see it again in daylight and on a warm sunny day.

Very poor and faded warning sign about risk of flooding. My car was written off when the car park flooded due to high tide. Along with about 40 other cars. See the picture. The water was as high as the car lights and covered the wheels.

Plenty of parking,bird watching area.Nice clean beach,big open areas to play on,old lighthouse.Plenty of bins for your dog poop.

while staying at The Falls resort i came upon a local beach in Talacre this is off the main coast road and at the bottom of station road The beach is clean and sandy and has a lovely light house on the beach.we spent most of the day on the beach it was beautiful. leading upto the beach there are local shops and amusements, with ice cream parlous to died for . If you are staying local in wales well worth the visit.

This is one of the best beaches I have visited. Nice and clean and great expanse of beach to walk along and relax. Only downside is very restricted access points if you are coming with young children or babies due to the dunes. As land around beach can be quite swampy if been raining. Didn't deter us tho.

A safe,clean beach with all the sand anyone could ever want (at low tide.) Always worth looking at what the sea has either uncovered or recovered (you have to go more than once for this!) The remnants of the concrete barge have now disappeared under the sand again. Oh, yes: the lighthouse is leaning: it isn't your imagination.

Good Clean beach and not overcrowded. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. There are several ice-cream shops and a bakery on the main road.

Nice enough beach to visit, good lighthouse shame about all the mud etc but there is nothing to be done about that! great way to spend a couple hours on a sunny day.

A nice beach, full of sand and families. Good place to relax for a few hours on a sunny day. Lighthouse on beach good to have a look at. Walkway from main road takes you most if the way, but a small patch of muddy ground between walk way and beach often gets VERY boggy and muddy. Not ideal! This needs paving over, or walkway extending as it is always a problem.

Has a lighthouse,but in need of renovation,really not much to look at,there is bird wildlife there though

Lovely clean beach. Lovely walk down to it. Really peaceful and quiet. Superb for a family walk. Definately visit here again.

Had a lovely walk along the beach. Very clean. We loved the lighthouse which was a great feature. Saw some jellyfish that had washed up on the sand.

We stayed here for a family weekend and had a nice time. We had a three bedroom caravan which was comfortable and had everything you needed in it. The only minor issue was that the sofa was slightly uncomfortable for my mother who had a back problem. The facilities were good and it was close to the beach.

A y visitons going to Talacre you Will be missing out on the beach is lovely and clean easily accessible and lovely for a stroll Just loved the giant jelly fish there the y série huge

Beautiful beach with amazing views had a lovely long walk right to the lighthouse children loved it .

Talacre beach chip shop the chip were overcooked and batter on the fish was soggy had to throw them away

Great beach, fab lighthouse although you can't go in its all sealed up. Ideal for the kids, just a great day out. Watch out for jellyfish!

Lovely expanse of golden sand plus sand dunes, paths and nature trail, plus bike path, well worth a visit

A proper seaside without all the gaudy shops and 'entertainments'. Lots of sand, great for privacy and beautiful views out to sea.

Lovely beach can be a bit windy but a lovely day out .There's a old lighthouse you can walk up to .lovely family day out .

We went here on a stop on the way home, it is a very small place with not a lot to do there! It has an amusement place and places to have a quick drink or something to eat. The beach is lovely, the sand dunes are in excellent condition and it is so clean and tidy! Lovely scenary! There is a lighthouse on the beach to walk by (as long as the tide is out) A lovely little stop!

Massive beach a bit on muddy side for bathing. Nice nature walk along promenade and interesting to see lighthouse. If you want a dip would go further along to Prestatyn.

Loved the beach. Very clean and well kept, absolutely love the lighthouse it's nice to still see things like that that haven't been destroyed. Ourselves and the kids really liked the beach

Lovely when tide is in. We walked from our caravan site nearby and it can be difficult to get across too if its been raining. Disappointed that there was no swimming due to soft sands. There are prettier beaches in the area.

Visited with family. Very windy day but didn't take away how breath taking it was. Loved it. The light house is magical. Old but I like it like that. Beach full of shells. Parking readily available. Will visit again.
