We had the most AMAZING roast here last Sunday, not only was it tasty, it was huge! We loved it. Our dog was also given 3 cooked sausages, absolutely lovely place, very highly recommend.

Thank you, Moira, for making us welcome. It was a memorable evening. We came across the Old Courthouse next to the castle just by chance and it was the highlight of our holiday. We had a very delicious three-course dinner expertly prepared with high quality and mostly locally sourced ingredients. I recommend the carrot and ginger soup. My partner's steak was perfect and it was served with freshly made hollandaise sauce. What made the evening so special was the impromptu piece that you played on the grand piano. An unforgettable experience that we treasure.

Visited here May 2025. We had the cheese/Meat board and a few(ish) drinks.! The food board would have fed an army and had a great selection of food quality meat and cheese (there were only 2 of us). The drinks menu is very extensive, which included cocktails made fresh to order, again with high quality ingredients. Briggs is a family run business and all proved amazing hosts. Thankyou Rob. Debz and Halle for a great evening, I’m sure we will back soon, especially when phase 2 is open! Good luck with the venture.

First time visit for us. The food and service was exceptional. Steak and ale pie. Belly Pork with black pudding mash. Generous portions.

We had a lovely experience here. Absolutely stunning staff. Liz the owner was so friendly and kind and helpful. One can definitely consider this pub if your visiting this area.

This is one of my happy places. You're looked after from the moment you arrive. The cottages are gorgeous and my spa treatment was wonderful. I wish I could stay there forever.

We’ve just returned from another fantastic stay at Outdoor Alternative in Rhoscolyn, and once again, it was everything we hoped for and more. We stayed in Mulfran, the house has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing getaway. It is spacious, comfortable, and perfectly equipped. Jacqui and Mark were as wonderful as ever, Jacqui prepared a delicious one-pot supper for us that was a perfect end to our first day. The location is unbeatable – we had stunning walks, plenty of beach time, and even kayaking, all accessible right from the house. We’ve been coming for years, and this place never disappoints.

Had possibly one of the best meat pies I've ever had, then went back for Sunday lunch, which was a bit of a let down if I'm totally honest.

My husband and I had a fabulous lunch. Excellent choice on the menu and the food was amazing. Charlotte our waitress was very helpful, friendly and informative. We will be back very soon!

We have visited here twice in a week. On both visits, the food was excellent, delivered quickly, by friendly attentive staff. I have reviewed recently and mentioned that we always have the same meals, so I’m sorry that the photos will be fish & chips and pie & chips again!! However, I feel that an enjoyable experience is worthy of another mention. Thank you Coral and your lovely staff, we will be back soon.
