Had a really good night at the Neil Diamond Tribute night. Really good beer with friendly staff and customers. Looking forward to the next special night

Called and booked a table and inforned over the phone we would have a dog with us, person who took our booking was very pleasant, asking what time we wanted to book so that they could ensure we were seated as far away as possible from other tables who were also bringing their dogs. Very friendly welcome from Emma, who looked after us as soon as we walked through the door. Due to a change of chef, there was a slightly limited menu, until new one is released for next season, but when asked for an adjustment to a listed item, they were more than happy to oblige. The food was tasty and the portions were generous. The Bass cask ale was clear as a bell, tasted great and held it's head all the way down the glass. Music was great, not sure if there was a jukebox or piped in but a pleasant change to the usual options of chart 'bangers' or generic muzak. After a previous disappointing meal in a larger venue earlier in the week, this visit was a delight and would be more than happy to come back next time we are in the area.

The lady running the bar and restaurant was brilliant, really welcoming and friendly. We asked for something not on the menu (egg and chips for two of us) and she agreed straight away. Home made lasagne and Hunters Chicken for the guys were huge portions and they said delicious. Exceptional service, incredible value for money,great food and dog friendly too. Lovely traditional pub and we will definitely be back if we're back in the area. Thank you!

Traditional pub with a lovely welcome. The lady running the bar and serving the restaurant was brilliant, so helpful and friendly. Portions were huge, the food was delicious and such great value. Dog friendly too! Veggie options and when Mum really just wanted egg and chips, which wasn't on the menu, they did it straight away. Hunters chicken and lasagne were both delicious and the cheesy garlic bread is to die for!

Came today with Hubby,Daughter and Dog, really really lovely place the food was amazing (really impressed with portion’s as we all like our food 🤣) staff really friendly and welcoming will definitely come back here when we are back in the area.

I had dirty fries bbq chicken and they were amazing I would defo eat here again thank you chef that was amazing and it wasn't over priced

Great spot. Even better that they serve food all day and are dog friendly. We originally went to the red lion and found them to be rude and unwelcoming so decided on the miners. We had nachos to share which were huge and two mains meals which were very tasty. I couldn’t finish my meal and needed a lie down afterwards. Thank you miners for a great afternoon.

We came here while having a holiday up the road people was so friendly and a good laugh made me my bloke and children (adult children) all feel at home definitely would come back if we are that way again nothing was to much for them o and I found my handbag thanks to them looking on the cctv for me so I could retrace my steps thank you!!! O and I am still blinking!!!!!! Xxx

Excellent local pub we came across on holiday. Very friendly and helpful bar staff, food was wonderful. Not much parking outside but can park bit further down the road

Menu wasn't great . We had steak wraps. The chips were amazing but the steak was horrible. Full of fat , chewy, tasteless. We did tell staff and it was removed from the bill. I don't think we will go back. Also the cutlery was brought after the food which I found odd.

Found the price for a glass of wine had risen by 50p. Use The Miners regularly on a Tuesday evening, but this is a large increase. I only bought one glass, instead of my usual two!

We had possibly the nicest Sunday lunch here we’ve had in a long time. The meat was cooked to perfection and the portions more than adequate. The desserts were absolutely delicious. Definitely worth a visit.

Friendly, quaint pub and the food was gorgeous. Really reasonably priced too! The lady serving us was super friendly and welcoming. After a dreadful experience at a nearby chain pub which we subsequently left to come to The Miners Arms, we were very impressed and enjoyed ourselves. Thanks guys!

Superb friendly pub. Felt alienated being sat in the games room with our 2 dog's. Partner stuffers with COPD and smokers don't help. Great service and good food but can do better 👍

Excellent pub food, the handcut chips were delicious. Huge quantities of food though, couldn't eat half! Service was great too, the girl who served us was friendly and really sweet. It seems they've recently started doing food, and although the menu looks quite basic, what we had was well executed. The main bar is quite dingy, but there's a sunny dining area that was lovely to sit in. Will definitely be back

The food was perfect. We ordered onion rings, chicken strips, dirty fries, burger and lasagne. All hot and tasty, with home made chips. Will definitely eat here again.

Good value for money on the Sunday roast.

Really great atmosphere and great people and staff! Everyone was really friendly and everything was priced really reasonably. We didn't eat but the food certainly smelt great and everyone in the food area seemed to really be enjoying it.

Had a fantastic time here, brilliant drinks, quite cheap, lovely food. The new owners are amazing, very kind people, and there team work well together, always laughing. The locals are all very supportive of them and are very nice to non locals too!

The “Miners” burger is a must for everyone to try, glad We stopped here for food !! got to sample the excellent scotch egg too, definitely be back for more, top marks to the new chef

Scotch Egg is a meal on its own. I will be back for a full meal soon. The Guinness is also beautiful. A local who will be back soon.

Unfortunately, the service and quality have gone downhill since I last reviewed. Personal touches have gone for regulars, and we had to request our usual table in a dead restaurant. Waitress was unwelcoming and had no customer service skills. Food took 45 minutes to come out, and we were the only customers to cater for...it was clear to see why... Steak was asked to be medium rare and came out well done. The pork chop was tough, and the fat was not rendered, so it was soggy. We had to ask for the basics of a steak knife with a steak... This demonstrated the lack of training or, indeed, customer care level of the waitress. The whole experience was expensive, and we will not be returning, which is a shame due to the memories from better experiences over many years.

Me, my mum and my daughter came for food a few days ago. This unfortunately is the worst food ive ever had, my mums was tastless, mine and my daughters were both cold. My daughter ordered the chicken nuggets off the kids menu and i ordered the chicken chunks off the main menu. They both arrived and were the exact same size. Yet the adult meal was more money. I sent the food back and waited 40mins for my other meal too arrive. Still tasteless. While we was there 3 other customers also made complaints about cold food, waiting times and food items missing.

Stayed in Prestatyn for a few nights and fortunately discovered The Miners Arms. Very warm welcome. Food was really good and we all enjoyed our meals. The young lady serving us was so nice and all in all we had a lovely time.

First time here, good quality food, excellent service from ordering to receiving considering it was very busy, staff friendly and helpful, definitely recommend it to anyone

Lovely place to eat, staff VERY Friendly and Attentive, however a tad dear for two drinks, BUT would DEFINITELY go again. 👍👍

We stayed closeby for 3 nights on a short break with our dog. We were made so welcome that we went back to eat twice. The food and staff are amazing. Try the steak and Guinness pie! Our dog is from a rescue and sometimes nervous, but wagged her tail, greeted everyone and turned into a diva each time she went in. Wish we'd got the staff names. Next time . . . .

Disappointing experience at The Miners today. The price of The Roast Chicken dinner was not good value for money. Although the vegetables were cooked to perfection the portions were not. There was a small spoonful of cabbage, mash, & 1 small Roast potato cut in half. The quality of the chicken gravy was poor . The Lamb Shank again not up to standard. With 1 Roast potato. We will not be returning.

Food we had was homemade steak and ale pie , 🥧 it was yummy 😋

Thank you to Paul and the staff at the Miner's for hosting our granddaughter's 16th birthday family get together. It was a very enjoyable evening and everything was done to make us feel welcome. Looking forward to many more family gatherings ....in the not too distant future perhaps .

We went for Sunday dinner and both had the Vegetable wellington, the whole meal was absolutely delicious!! The customer service was great especially Kaylie our waitress. Both my mum and myself can not remember when we had a meal as nice as this, would highly recommend 😊

Mixed platter starter to share, all frozen items, over fried and for the price just appalling. Mixed grill, no chicken, pork or black pudding!!!! Pizza too salty to eat. Lasagne, very bland. Sirloin steak was lovely. Staff, very friendly. So basically very expensive for a steak. Won’t be going back.

4 adults went to the miners arms and had a wonderful meal and desserts at this place and was well worth the price we paid could not fault our roast beef and roast ham also lamb shank and vegetables Wellington with drinks and also 3 biscuit cheesecake and especially a sticky toffee pudding . Strange last order times 10.15pm and food 7.30pm but what a lovely experience. Staff are magazine and food is true to previous customers downloaded pictures. My food arrived fast. Landlady put on Sky sports and was advised to watch in the cool room (weather belter) my team lost but the pub won.

Came here for a Sunday roast it was amazing you couldn't fault it. The staff where lovely really friendly nothing was too much to ask. Enjoyed is so much I've booked to go again the next day

Went today with family and dog. Very warm welcome, super relaxed and friendly, ace with the dog (who is rarely relaxed but he was trotting about with the locals like he owned the joint after an hour). Food great and a lovely pint of Guinness too apparently! Will be back :-)

Took my Mum here tonight as Over from Spain to see family..What a fantastic meal..The pork chops were out of this world..the staff were brilliant.. apart from not having mum's favourite dessert Eton Mess on the menu but wants it next time she is over please lol

Lovely warm welcome from the proprietor . Such a quaint old pub. Food was delicious we had the tikka masala and the fish and chips both were home made by the chef highly recommended.

Went as a group of 12 to celebrate my daughter who has additional needs 18th Birthday. We had a room to ourselves which we were not expecting. The young lady who looked after us was lovely, friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Everyone commented on how nice the meals were as well as being good sized portions. In short we had a lovely evening and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Many thanks to all the staff with a special thanks to the young lady who waited on and helped make it a special evening.

Glad I met the proprietor as she told us she had a pub and well it was lovely, freshly made to order, dog friendly and was made very welcome when we arrived, will be back again in September on our next visit to Wales ☺️☺️

Went for a Sunday lunch, very very good prices, I had the roast beef, really good quality meats, everything was very nice, the mash was hard and a bit lumpy... Service was a bit slow and the pudding came out 10mins apart for some reason.

Very friendly pub with lovely food, the pub has a section which is dog friendly so we had our dogs with us. I had the chicken noodles and hubby have the steak and ale pie both were cooked beautifully. Well worth a visit.

This has to be the warmest welcome in wales. We called ahead to see if our dogs were welcome and as soon as we walked through the door they were filling bowls and finding biscuits. They have a separate dining room for dogs which was lovely and means non dog lovers are also happy. Lots of attention from the staff who went out of their way to make us welcome. It’s not fancy or a gastro pub but when you’ve had a day on Prestatyn’s immaculately clean beaches it’s perfect

We went here on Sunday 12th September 2021 for Sunday lunch. 11 of us including 4 under 5’s and also a large dog. Could not have been more welcoming and friendly. Food was fab, the dog was well looked after with water and treats and just generally felt welcome.

Second time we’ve tried food here, first time a sandwich and chips outside, why don’t other pubs just do a lovely simple sandwich? Was lovely and I am very fussy, Saturday mixed grill and lasagna the best food I’ve had for a long time if...

Booked the night before, arrived and greeted by very pleasant and friendly staff. Shown to our table, drinks order taken immediately and delivered promptly, with a smile. Food order taken and served very promptly, 3 roast beef that melted in your mouth and a turkey....

Ate here twice whilst staying in Prestatyn, could not fault it. food was great and the staff are all so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Would definitely recommend.

We called and booked a table, travelled 15 miles, to be told when we arrived that the chef was not cooking and that our booking would not be honoured. There was no apology, nor any understanding of our poor experience. Disgusting behaviour!

Booked for Saturday evening in the "Doggy Diner!" Service was lovely and efficient (and very dog friendly!) Food was fantastic, good home made pub grub. No complaints at all, would come again and would definitely recommend.

Visited this evening with my family. All staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Food was lovely and enjoyed by all. All in all made for a great last evening out before heading home tomorrow. Would strongly recommend a visit.

Called this evening at 1936 hrs for a meal only to be told that the kitchen had decided to close early. We had travelled for 20 mins, not a long journey but,a wasted one. We won’t be returning.

We ate here today as a family of 5 after my parents had been months ago and were very impressed.Our table was booked for 2 and at first all seemed great as we were seated straight away and offered drinks.10 minutes later our food order was taken which were Sunday lunches as it is very limited menu on a Sunday.I opted for the pork loin that comes with crackling.At no point were we told there would be any wait on food and we did not think time would be an issue as was not overly busy.An hour and 10 minutes later our food arrived,I had asked after 50minutes how long much longer would we be waiting to be told it was just being plated up even though they appeared with plates with another table which had been seated and ordered after us?As for the food it was ok but there was definitely no crackling on my pork just fat and the Yorkshire puddings were so flat I wasn’t sure wether to eat them or use them as a frisbee.It seems such a shame as my parents said it was nothing like they had experienced last time but did mention it seemed to have more seating areas now so maybe they have taken on too much or need more chefs. Unfortunately we won’t be returning.

Wow. This is the 3rd time we have dined here this month and we have been really impressed. The food is outstanding and it's clear the chef takes pride on what he puts on his plate. Service is always friendly and pleasant and we always leave with smiles on our faces and full bellies!5 Stars from us. My title says it all! About 5 weeks ago me and my partner decided to go for the first time. We had not been before and thought it would be a nice treat for some pub grub!Well, we went in, got seated and ordered from the grill night! WOW! The food was fresh, cooked as requested and filling! The service was amazing and nothin was too much! The staff remember us and know what we like, we are treated as “part of the family” so to speak! We now go often (has been weekly since) and the service is always great, the food is always nice and we will continue to visit! Thank you to all at the Miners! Sean

Just had dinner at the miners. It was grill night and I'm very fussy with steak but Charlie the chef cooked it to perfection. The chips were home made and beautifully seasoned. The onion rings were huge and delightful. Charlie the chef also made us peppercorn sauce which has to be the best I've tasted.All the staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning

We had booked a table for 4. No other diners. Just got one menu to share between 4, no wine list. Told some of the dishes were not available...So we promptly left and had a fabulous meal next door at the Red Lion..£121 to Red Lion!!!!

Although we only live down the road to this pub never been after reading reviews decided to give it a go my hubby and I daughter 3 grandaughters we decided to go for the 3 course . After waiting some time had to go and ask as children where getting hungry starter where awful chicken wings where tough like rubber. Then the mains 2 had roast ham could not eat as too salty then the Beef was like processed stewed beef again not eaten put in services took home for the dog deserts where nice so that was a bonus. The bill we where charged for drinks we had not had. We will not be eating at this pub again very disappointing ☹☹☹☹☹☹

Stopped off here for a meeting with other family members. But many items on the menu were not available, including all the vegan meals). We eventually managed to agree an order of which my wife and I both had steak. When the meals arrived (and I must admit we were getting a little dubious) The steaks and the chips (even the peas) were cooked to perfection and was the best meal of our holiday week.They just need to get their menu and stock levels correct.

I arrived here with my girlfriend and parents after a long day out at Llandudno with the dog. We were greeted very well by some exceptionally well mannered and inviting staff in a pub where the dog was also very welcomed. Unfortunately the only was down after this.

Had Sunday lunch with 4 adults and 2 teens at this village pub which turned out to be a lovely day for us all. On hols from Ireland and met up with family from Liverpool at this ideally situated pub on a beautiful sunny day in Meliden near Prestatyn. The service was really friendly from a lovely bunch of staff who catered for our every need and the food was excellent for all of us. Very reasonable prices and loads on the plate to satisfy the appetite so much so that there wasn't any room for desserts. (Just under £55 for 4 adult mains and 2 kids mains, drinks and coffees for all) Thanks chef. More family coming from Ireland during the week and will definitely be back. Thank you The Miners Arms
