We were here to experience the diner and the aerodrome. We had hoped to see the XL Beluga, doesnt everyone ? I had read they were most likely to be seen on a Thursday but that wasnt the case for us. However it didn't spoil what was a great afternoon. Lots of other action going on with many smaller planes coming and going including one from the Red Arrows and a Police Helicopter. Food was good and served quickly. It is obviously a very popular place so it is best to book. You can eat inside or out.

We had coffee, tea and brownies mid morning. The coffee was good and the brownies were served delicious and served with cream on the side. I especially liked it that the cafe had the door open so there was a flow of fresh air and no cooking smells.

Going on the strength of other reviews, we booked a table in the dog friendly area of The Crown. Having had and a 2 hour walk beforehand, a well deserved refuelling stop. Quite chilly in that area of the pub. Cheap lunch menu. Specials board more expensive. We had Scampi & fries, small battered cod & chips. Both came with peas. I had much higher expectations and was disappointed in the portion size(5 scampi pieces). Would consider giving it another try sometime, go in the evening and dine in the restaurant area. Pay the more expensive dinner prices, in the hope that the food would not be cooked from frozen and the portion sizes would be satisfying.

We have been going to Yr Eagles for years when we are on holiday in Bala. We went on Friday night, we loved it! The manager was wonderful, so friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed drinks and a meal. My smashed burger was so flavoursome ❤️ ( my son-in-law had a multi-storey burger 🍔 ! X3 I think 😆) onion rings were delicious! The others had ham, egg and chips they raved about there’s too! The cushioned pews were comfy 🥰our dog loved the place. We can hardly wait to return. Bendigedig pawb! 😁

Came here 3 times in a row it was so nice! A great little cafe right next to a nice beach. The ham, Brie and chutney toastie was so good! Little things like getting a top up of hot chocolate because the glass was half cream to begin with just makes it absolutely 5 star. Will definitely be returning on our next visit!

Booked a table for Boxing day 2024. Turned up on time and found people outside as the place was all locked up. No explanation even though we saw the bar staff enter the booking details in the diary a few days earlier. Thank you to the Cross Foxes who found us a table at short notice

Had a fantastic meal on Friday. Curry night + food for kids....also chicken for the two dogs. Went one afternoon to get a beer but was shut....then the owner Heidi i think that is her name, said come on in and let us have a couple of beers. Love the menu, just the right balance. Thank you gor looking after us,the kids and the pooches. Would go back again. Worth the six hour drive. Heidi dont work yourself to the wall. Its a gold mine. A perfect balance. Find someone you trust and sit back a little. I have been in the same place. X Thank you.

I had the pleasure of visiting this establishment last weekend for a Sunday lunch, and I can confidently say it did not disappoint in any regard. The venue itself is truly a hidden gem. Nestled away from the hustle and bustle, it offers a wonderfully inviting atmosphere, with a homely and relaxed vibe that immediately makes you feel at ease. Whether you’re looking for a quiet place to unwind or a cozy spot to enjoy a meal, this place hits the mark perfectly. As for the food, it was nothing short of exceptional. The Sunday lunch was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully, offering a depth of flavor that is all too rare to find. Every component of the meal was fresh and thoughtfully prepared, clearly showcasing a commitment to quality. For anyone who appreciates a well-executed Sunday roast, this is certainly a standout. Finding a venue in North Wales that serves such a satisfying and delicious Sunday lunch can be a challenge, but this place truly exceeded expectations. It’s a perfect spot for those in search of a memorable and fulfilling dining experience. I would highly recommend this establishment to others looking for a top-tier Sunday lunch in a welcoming and relaxed setting. I’ll certainly be returning in the near future.
