Hot chocolate, home made cakes including BaraBrith, licensed too. Ice creams,including for dogs. Jacket potatoes,sandwiches,paints, sausage rolls, pasties and pies. Right next to the beach too

I have been using this gem of a place for years, it’s right next to the beach so convenient for a cheeky little ice cream, the food is lovely and the staff are friendly, I like it as it’s spotlessly clean, it’s just a feel good holiday cafe. But I do have to say (tongue in cheek with the owner) my brownies are better, but you make a great cup of tea

Lovely little cafe , ext to sandy beach.car park and toilets. Check out the old chapel across the car park. Ok if u just want abrew , they also sandwiches , pasties etc Well worth a visit

The best cheese sandwich in Harlech. I've been twice. Cafe gets busy when the sun comes out, but the employees keep their cool, are friendly and have a sense of humor. There's a fair amount of shade to sit and eat outside. Bonus - lots of ice cream choices too.

Visited Y Maes twice for lunch. Beautiful spot close to beach. Freshly prepared food with efficient and friendly service. Good range of choices: delicious toasties and quiche. Outdoor seating.

Warm friendly service, dog friendly, great coffee, cheese that actually taste like cheese and ice cream to die for! Public toilet facilities and only a few metres from car park to a beautiful beach. Perfect in every way!

Somewhat disappointing. The cafe itself on the edge of the car park itself, opposite public toilets, and has indoor and outdoor seating. Cafe did not seem overly busy or at capacity on this visit, yet orders took time, so when busy, expect a long wait, unless they were short staffed. Have had some great, amazing coffee and cake stops the past week across north west Wales and coffee and cake served here is sorry to say ranked bottom. To be fair, it’s not a barista, espresso coffee machine being used, which may explain quality. Location and atmosphere is a cross between a roadside lay-by coffee stop and beach side cafe……without the beach side bit. Staff were friendly.

Had ice creams from a not very friendly lady. Not the best ice creams either

No breakfast food! Owner? doesn’t like to cook smelly food!! Poor quality cakes and biscuits only. ☹️

Spicy chick pea and cauliflower pasty was delicious as, I'm told, were sausage rolls. Service was efficient and friendly and the views of the hills as we sat outside eating lunch were just beautiful.

Beautiful Cafe, tucked away, quiet but gently busy at the same time.

Always enjoy seeing this cafe after walking the coastal path. Staff are very friendly, the cakes are homemade and the prices mean they you can all have a cake and coffee (not like a lot of places!). There's a tap at the side where you can fill your drinking bottle. Parking and toilets right outside.

Just had a takeaway coffee, but the atmosphere was good, place was busy full of happy people, I could just tell the food was good. Staff Very welcoming and friendly.

Great value little cafe, good menu of items from hot food and cakes..

We enjoyed the drinks! Waited 25 minutes for two paninis that looked like small baguettes & “homemade” quiche which was microwaved, I’d rather have it cold. The kids serving us were pleasant and the beach there is lovely. You pay for two hours parking because of the queue for the cafe 😂 we were lucky there was only one person in front of us, when we left it was 8 deep!

Ice cream super heros with plenty more cafe style food offerings to meet omnivores, vegetarian and vegan tastes. Always a happy welcome. Highly recommended

Lovely secluded cafe right next to the beach and well stocked for a drink and snack while your on a day at the coast. Not expensive like the cafes in barmouth. Ideal spot for disabled to get to the beach or parents with pushchairs. I'll def be visiting again.

Walked all the way from Harlech Castle to Llandanwg via the road then back to Harlech via the beach so this was a good half way point. Very busy, queuing all the way out to the carpark when we arrived but it was lunchtime so the queue was probably for food/ice cream. We only wanted a drink so we were called to the front of a separate queue just for drinks. Drinks were fine, and staff seemed fine. We didnt have any food so cant comment on that. Location is perfect between car park and beach 2 mins walk. A good number of tables outside - we couldnt see if there were any inside, but it was a gorgeous day so the place was rammed full. 2 mins walk away is a lovely little old church/chapel - well worth a visit.

An old-fashioned beach cafe - we just wanted ice-creams which were delicious. Limited menu but would recommend after a day on the beach/country walk

Very chaotic, didn't know where the queue stated, hard to work out was was on offer, it was expensive (but then everything is now) and the coffee was absolutely awful. Plus points: The lady serving was wonderful and a staff member had dropped by for a brew and when she saw how busy they were she put her bag away and mucked in!! Now, that is team spirit!!

We have stopped in here a few times but only for a cup of tea. The food i saw looked good but cannot comment on taste. The staff are really friendly, welcoming and helpfull. Set down a lane towards the beach it's a little hidden gem. Plenty of outside seating with psrasoles to give some welcome shade.

Friendly staff, very clean, seating inside and out and plenty of space for parking on the doorstep, the menu is simple but value for money there's a selection of snacks and drinks, and the views are excellent, opposite is a very very old Chapel wonderful in simplicity if like me you yearn for a simple Welsh Chapel and a cup of tea then you can combine both, also right next to the beach.

Have visited the cafe since I was a little boy, this beach is great for crab fishing and the cafe provides nice food and drinks.

This is a brilliant little cafe, with locally sourced ice cream and ground coffee, pasties and sausage rolls to die for and lovely sandwiches. So good we went three times in total. Situated by the beach car park, the beach just 5 minutes walk away

Excellent scones and fresh brewed coffee. Also interesting information on the adjacent church, rescued from the sand dunes. Worth a visit. Friendly staff. Make the trip here, it will not disappoint

We visited today, our first visit since the covid pandemic. This place could be a fantastic with a few extra touches. Serve good quality fresh coffee rather than watery machine coffee. Offer customers a glass / ice with their canned drinks. The sandwich was nice and the pasty was tasty. The coffee cake was dry. Location is great. There’s so many cute bistros opening locally I feel they need to up their game Response to owners reply - thanks Next time we will be more specific when ordering coffee to ensure we get the richer option along with a glass and some ice. Like I said in the review the sandwich and patty were tasty. Thanks

Love this place been going for 26 years Cant fault it

Called in here as a large group. The owners couldn’t do enough for us. Hot chocolate and toasted sandwiches on a wet and windy day, just what was needed. They also cater for coeliacs which is awesome. Just wish we visited on a nice sunny day.

Welsh cheese and Leek toasties were delicious just what we needed after a walk on the beach. Very friendly and cheerful staff as well

I thought what a great little place to stop for something to eat and a drink...how wrong reception not welcoming at all we arrived at 3pm on a Saturday to our shock when we ask for food were told stopped serving food we'd just walked past someone being served soup and bread. Only to discover they close at 3.30pm and as we sat drinking our machine made coffee it was quite obvious we were made to feel unwelcome when flags and umbrella s were being taken down even though the place was busy and still had a steady flow of customers.

Stayed in the area for 2 weeks visited you on 3 occasions, everything spot on from the food to the service and staff shame your 4 hours away!!

Lovely location and a good selection of food incl gluten free and organic soda. I had a jacket potato and think for the price, a small salad garnish would compliment it rather than just getting a potato and the filling

Managed to catch this place open yesterday, 3rd time lucky . Had lovely ice cream , very delicious and good value £10 for the 5 of us.

A good little cafe on the beach. This was a lovely place to sit on a blustery morning. The scones and teacakes were lovely and the hot chocolate went down well with my daughter. The coffee could be better in my opinion but still a lovely spot for refreshments.

Love this little cafe by the beach. Beautiful spot, easy and cheap to park, beach views gorgeous, ancient little chapel, and that's before you discover the menu with gluten free options. Brunch followed by windy walk on beach followed by tasty carrot cake and scone, all gluten free was delicious and a real treat. Thank you.
