Caffi Colwyn in Gwynedd

Friendly staff and absolutely delicious food. I’ve been before and it never fails to impress me. Falafel and flat bread light bite was so good and the scone and clotted cream was one the best I’ve ever had with a lovely warm scone. In my opinion this is the best place to eat in Beddgelert.

After a long old slog of a walk I was rather hungry, I plumbed for the piri piri chicken and cheese flatbreat and a much needed bottle of cider, the service along with the food was truly faultless and beautifully presented. I absolutely WILL return when I'm around and about again

We had coffee, tea and cake outside in the garden area beside the river. Everything was lovely. Could have sat there all day !

The restaurant delivered in more ways than one. The burger I had chosen was very slightly undercooked but there was no issue in getting another. The customer service was exemplary. My husband had the fish finger sandwich and really enjoyed it. Tea and coffee were great and piping hot. Water accompanied the teapot so I could have a second cup. The staff were really friendly and the view of Beddgelert from where we sat was really lovely. Will definitely return. Yes, it is expensive but you get what you pay for and it's great.

Asked for a vegan burger but they didn't have any left. Kept saying over and over that they had been busy. Definitely not appropriate for vegans as staff had very little knowledge of vegan food. Sorry will not be returning.

Lovely breakfast, quality food. Owner and staff member serving, so friendly and welcoming. The interior is very interesting too, Plants for sale! Lots of books to peruse. We left very satisfied and with two hydrangea cuttings, very happy customers 😀

Delicious food and they go the extra mile - a credit to Beddgelert and Cymru! Not only was our lunch absolutely delicious and great value, but the owners were incredibly helpful in returning some items I'd left behind on my visit there. Essential stop for a bite to eat if you're ever in this beautiful town. Diolch o galon!

We called in for a late breakfast/brunch and were not disappointed. Beautiful Welsh breakfast, great sausages, lovely bacon, and buttery mushrooms. Service was friendly and quick and plates and food were hot. Lattes were creamy and delicious. Will definitely visit again!

Great place to stop in for a coffee, homemade cakes excellent!

We had coffee, tea and cake here after a great hike. With the sun shining on top, it was an absolutely perfect time in the café. This certainly had an impact on my positive rating. But hands down, coffee and cakes were delicious indeed! Staff was nice, too.

Very lovely little cafe, we had the Welsh afternoon tea, and it hit the spot after a walk around Bedgellert. Also very welcoming to our dog, even gave him a little treat.

Friendly and welcoming little cafe in the centre of Beddgelert. The owner was such a lovely lady who was happy to chat to all her customers. We only popped in for coffee and cake but the breakfasts that we saw other customers eating also looked good. There is also plenty of outside seating at the back of the premises.

Lovely food, lots of choice for vegetarians and vegans. Good cake. Friendly efficient staff - we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch, despite the wasps - lol. Good value. Did I mention the Cake was Devine?

Enjoyed a really great breakfast here. Waitress was really friendly and the quality of the food was excellent. Coffee was quality too!! Dog friendly as well! Definitely recommend.

Oat milk cappuccinos | To go | Overly-sweet vegan flapjack Swung by to pick up a few to-go cappuccinos with oat milk. These were quite good. We also got one of their vegan flapjacks (granola bars), which I appreciate that they offer at all, but it was very, very sweet. We did not go into the cafe, but stopped at their little stand/cart a bit up the road.

Excellent snacks, substantial meals, light bites and cakes. As for cakes they make the most stunning Bara Brith I have tasted. They have a great team of people there, service is swift and with a smile, nothing too much bother.

It was closed, sign said it should have opened today, but no sign of anyone and no information on the door or windows. Has it closed down?

Nice little cafe with decent food but very small as they had shut off half the inside and the garden was not open. As a result my family had to split between two tables.

Perfect flat white on my first morning here in Beddgelert. Service was kind and quick. Will absolutely return.

Scones with cream and jam to die for! Lovely service and food. Dog friendly with a bowl of water offered by the staff to my samoyeds. We were eating inside as it was raining.

Hats off to the ladies working here, nice warm Welsh welcome with a very personal service. Fantastic minted lamb pastry, lovely scones, jam and cream with brilliant Welsh tea. The bara brith is exceptional! Highly reccomended!

Fabbydoo coffee and cakes We, a famiky of five with 2 teenagers in tow, popped in today after 4:15 and were lucky to get a table in this cosy wee cafe. Kids had cakes and I think it is the biggest portion we've seen this holiday. The owner males his own scones which have a different texture to what I'm used to but we're delicious. Great friendly service too. Well worth a visit.

I enjoyed a delicious full breakfast in this welcoming and efficient cafe. All ingredients were fresh and perfectly cooked, and I especially appreciated the high quality of the egg, the (crispy) bacon & the black pudding. I 'm sure the team would do their best to accommodate any special requirements. We'll certainly return next time we visit the North Wales coast.

Very nice little cafe. There is inside seating from the street side, and there is a very nice open patio for outside seating right on the river. Good food. Had a jacket potato and a melt. Very good. Bottled beer. Nice staff. Was rainy the day we were there so sat inside, but if the weather is better, eat out on their riverside patio

Lovely little cafe, run by a lovely couple. We came on a very rainy day and decided to try for breakfast. The staff were polite and we noticed the owners were actually working hard and chatting to all the customers. The food was incredible and not badly priced. Dog friendly, veggie options if want that and a lovely experience.

After a long walk we were looking for a lunch stop to refuel before we returned to our car. We were really pleased that the cafe was dog friendly, and we found a lovely table in the window. There was a good choice of sandwiches and jacket potatoes, but we chose the Chicken Burger from the Specials Board. The bun was fresh and tasty, burger golden and crunchy, served with crispy chips and creamy coleslaw. We had traditional lemonade and were really pleased with the quality and food and drink and value for money. We will definitely visit again.

The coffee and desserts here were delicious! The staff was kind and helpful. I highly recommend this cafe.

Amazing espresso and cakes with super friendly and helpful staff

Stumbled upon this cafe and so glad we did! Cute little cafe with a gift shop section. Two adults two children, we had four meals and four desserts plus drinks. Every single item was amazing. The chips!!!! Get the chips!!! Owners were absolutely lovely and very accommodating, letting us stay despite it being past their closing time. They just pottered and cleaned as we finished up. So kind. Food and ambience were just perfect. Highly recommend.

A wonderful stop for some delicious breakfast and lunch in Beddgelert. We got the Welsh breakfast and the tuna melt (pictured), both of which were delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and service was great. Highly recommend!

Three us visited this quaint cafe for a quick bite and drinks. We placed our order with a young man and it arrived very quickly. The drinks were refreshing and the snacks we ate were tasty. Would love to return here some time!

we so enjoyed our visit today,well presented cafe/gift shop.good menu,gluten free and vegan options,i had the haddock fish cake with chilli sauce and coleslaw.all home made,hubby had scone,cream and jam,so yummy,i had a coffee latte,so nice and hubby had cuppa tea,cafe very clean,staff friendly and informative,yes a lovely lunch,not too expensive,yes very good,oo and lovely music[motown,,thank you,jean and richard from kent

This was by far the best place to eat on our Welsh stay. The atmosphere was chilled out with great ambience, the staff were so friendly and the lunch was spot on and reasonably priced. I treated myself to a pumpkin latte afterwards and that too was so delicious.

Went there in August! Rainy morning, full motorbike gear and passed the breakfast time. The staff was nice and friendly. They kindly put together two breakfast for take away -as we didn’t want to get everything wet- and sent us our way with hot drinks to warm up! Thank you 🥰🥰 They have a little artisan shop with great stuff!

Great staff Great food, it's become a tradition to have the afternoon tea here with scones jam clotted cream and a decent piece of bara brith every time I'm in Beddgelert.

When we saw this place after lunch somewhere else, we sincerely regret not having lunch there. It looked very inviting, and they had authentic meals, not just fast food. But he had here a perfect espresso and discovered the menu for dogs. Nice places outside.

This cafe was pleasant and the people serving were nice. We both had a breakfast each and they were quite tasty. The coffee was a bit of a let down and was very bitter and the cappuccino was more a white americano…other than that the place is pleasant enough, if not a bit cold temperature wise. I don’t think we would visit this cafe again, as we’ve been to some other really lovely foodie places in North Wales. They do have a gift shop that sells some lovely little bits and bobs.

Food was okay nothing outstanding quite pricey. Dog friendly which was a bonus. My chicken burger was dry and had no sauce on it. Hot chocolates were amazing

Really lovely courtyard to eat in, there were 2 types of diary free and 3 types of gluten free cakes to try. Picture is the gluten free carrott cake, gluten free brownie and iced coffee. Dog friendly with a small dog menu of sausages and ice cream. Good half way stop on walk from Nantmor.

We hadden ontbijt. Ontvangst en bediening waren vriendelijk. Kwaliteit van het eten was prima. Parkeren kan alleen niet voor de deur.

Nice spot next to the river in Beddgelert with outdoor seating for when the weather is nice. I had the Welsh Cream Tea set and it was perfect, tea and scones with some bara brith. It was my first time trying the latter and I would recommend it!

We stopped in Beddgelert for a quick snack and we found this cafe for an afternoon tea and scone. The scone was fresh, warm and perfectly crumbly.

Went to their outdoor cafe for lunch. Very disappointing. Staff were rude and not interested in customers and looked like they haven't received any training. Food is basic and expensive for what it is. Bread is soggy. No side salad with the sandwiches.

Lovely little coffee place and nice service. The coffee wasn’t too good though….I did ask for the milk in the latte to not be made too hot! Instead I got a hot latte with a jug of cold water to cool it down!!

This is a fantastic cafe with friendly staff, great service and delicious food and coffee. We stopped here for breakfast on one day and it was so good that we stopped for lunch the next! It was a relaxing spot to enjoy some food in the sunshine and watch the world go by. We had a full Welsh breakfast (the bacon in particular was so thick and tasty) and it kept us going all day until our evening meal. We had a light lunch and enjoyed this very much too. Thank you to the team at Caffi Colwyn and we look forward to visiting again next time we're in Beddgelert!

Lovely cafe, great breakfast and even better staff!

Slightly difficult to get anyone's attention but once we had managed to order the food was lovely and the coffee was good. I know it is hard to get or afford waiting staff at the moment but we nearly left due to lack of attention - I'm glad we didn't and I hope they sort that aspect out.

What a fabulous eatery! 👍🏼The food and coffee was delicious, well presented and the service speedy. Portion sizes were very generous too & great value for money which is such a rarity these days. The staff were friendly & attentive and the riverside location really topped it off. Thank you so much for a lovely meal ladies 😊

Lovely little cafe. No space inside but luckily they have an outside tea garden which serves the same drinks and cakes. Cakes were fantastic - just what was needed after a day in the hill.

There was nobody in sight to take our order and we waited for some considerable time, before an off-hand employee deigned to put in an appearance. Tea was weak and watery and everything was very uninspiring. This place doubles as a gift shop which sells the usual tat. Ok for a quick pit stop but nothing else.

Enjoyed our lunch very much. Really nice falafel, with pitta and hummus. And i also tried the Welsh Bara Brith, a very tasty fruit loaf. Flat white coffee was deemed excellent and my tea came with a pot of water which I always appreciate.

Happened across this lovely little place on our way back to Betws y coed! What a great place. Really pretty village - one of the prettiest we found in Snowdonia National Park. Lovely staff, food served quickly and looked and tasted so good!! Great coffee too. Chatted with the owner who was so friendly and clearly committed to this business. So glad we found it and would highly recommend it. Some great gifts or souvenirs to take home too!
