The best restaurants serving British food in North Wales

Fantastic value, wonderful staff, steak was absolutely gorgeous - better than miller and carter we went to last week. Come here every Sunday and have a fantastic Sunday lunch - 5 stars from me.

I have been here a few times recently and never been disappointed. As pub food goes this place is very good - local produce, well cooked. Fantastic view, good real ale and very friendly staff. I cannot understand the occasional bad review. It does not try to be a Michelin star restaurant just a friendly local pub with good food and succeeds.

Popped in for a coffee while touring the local area, very friendly staff, gave me a booklet of the area which was very helpful, would recommend.

¡Tan decepcionado! Hemos visitado este restaurante un par de veces en el pasado y nos encantó. Esta noche el servicio fue terrible y la comida no era genial. Cuando llegamos por primera vez la camarera parecía sorprendida de ver a alguien llegar y nos dijo que nos sentáramos en cualquier lugar, le señalé que teníamos una mesa reservada, pero ella nunca preguntó por nuestro nombre. Cuando tomó nuestro pedido no escribió nada que me preocupase un poco. Esperamos un rato y apareció nuestra red eléctrica, le señalé que aún no habíamos tenido nuestros entrantes, pero la camarera simplemente dijo «¡oh, te los traigo!» A mi marido le gustó mucho su filete, pero el plato de cerdo no era genial, el vientre era graso y nada crujiente. Me destripan que pagamos £ 107 por 2 tuberías y una botella de vino. Con mal servicio. No volveremos con prisa.

What a lovely restaurant we had this evening. Jane is so lovely and wonderful friendly especially she had with our son. The food was delicious. We were very happy to be here part of our holiday.

Arrived at 0930hrs during the week and wasn't too busy (filled up a bit whilst we were there). Eggs "Benny" was a good choice (eggs benedict) - the Ham was nice (thick) and the eggs were perfect, the muffin was also enjoyable. A dash of tabasco (my choice) finished it off nicely. Would have liked a little bit more salad on the side but we shall not let that detract from the experience. Fantastic large Cappuccino. Decor is light, airy and pleasant with attentive staff. Parking outside, if it is full, fear not! There is the free library parking and if even that fails, just pop over the road to the big Tesco. Certainly worth a visit if looking for breakfast in Abergele.

Another great break at the Dinorben Arms! I've stayed here lots of times before so I already knew what a great place to stay this hotel is, but I've never been to a Sunday carvery until this visit, and I wasn't disappointed. Run by the team with military precision without ever feeling rushed, I was called to my table at the correct time, and enjoyed the best Sunday lunch in Wales! Succulent tender beef and gammon was my choice, accompanied by every vegetable known to man expertly cooked. (And yes they had roast parsnips). Make sure to book as it seemed half the town were fed here.

Great pub with really friendly staff. Landlady is lovely. Food was great! My husband had the ribs and the meat fell off the bones, absolutely scrummy😋 I had the zinger chicken burger which was also delicious. Everyone was friendly. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Tried Pili Papas for the first time today for lunch and experienced high quality, high value, delicious food and drink. I would highly recommend. I had the Welsh rarebit with crispy bacon, which is served with a lovely side salad, it was absolutely delicious. My husband has homemade quiche with chips, which also came with a huge side salad. The portions are generous, the value is amazing.

Having visited just before Christmas and had a wonderful experience we decided to return with family. Disappointed that the only savoury part of the afternoon tea this time were sandwiches. Please do not put cucumber on the Prawn sandwiches as not everyone likes cucumber and although I removed mine my sandwich still tasted of cucumber which I hate. We. all agreed that there were way too many sweet items and not enough savoury items, although everything we tasted was excellent I think it needs to be more balanced with savoury v sweet. Still rate Y Felin 5 stars as the service was excellent and the food although too sweet for us was excellent quality.

We both had scrambled eggs on doorstep stop toast with an extra portion of bacon- lovely eggs. My daughter and partner both had small breakfast, which filled the plate.

Absolutely beautiful Sunday roast. The hubby had the beef and I opted for the lamb. Can honestly say that it was the best roast dinner I have eaten. There was plenty of meat, potatoes and vegetables. The Yorkshire puddings were perfect and there was plenty of gravy. We left room for pudding and were so glad we did as they were also delicious. This is a lovely place to come. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend and we’ll be back again soon.
