Popped in for a coffee after a walk along the river which the cafe patio overlooks. The river walk is recommended. The local heritage exhibition ( back of the cafe and upstairs) is really interesting and well worth a look. Very good value cakes and...

We only stayed in this area for 3 days, but every day my wife paid this café a visit, so they must be good. I went in for lunch one day, and the food and the staff were very good.

This cute little cafe was just what we needed on a cold windy day when we were looking for a quick lunch break. We had been on a country drive in Anglesey, tracing some family roots. The cafe we had planned to go to, and...

A nice little cafe, had cake, scone and Barra Brith. The great think was they had a diet drink which wasn’t diet coke.

Lovely, lovely cafe. I had coffee and bara brith. Both were excellent. I asked and the bara brith is made by one of the ladies running the cafe- it shows, it was fantastic.

A nice looking little cafe with a very pleasant outdoor area which welcomes dogs. A prime site on the High Street which could make more of its spot. The menu is very limited - burger, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, salads etc. The usual filling combinations. The...

We arrived as the bistro was very close to closing time but they welcomed us into the dog friendly garden and gave us such good, friendly service and did not rush us off. We had a lovely cream tea. A real pleasure.

This was a chance visit when my usual place for coffee was found to be closed. This certainly be used again as it was warm friendly and very good value for money. The food menu is limited, comprising soups, butties, sandwiches etc. I chose the bacon butty and recieved a generously filled bap. There were no frills, bells and whistles, just a good solid snack and an excellent pot of tea.Well worth coming off the main road for.

Food was lovely as was the pub and the staff.cant fault it.my only gripe is the pub allowing dogs at the tables while you're trying to eat and all you can hear is barking..I'm a dog lover but I don't agree with dogs in a pub where people are eating and relaxing.

Going on the strength of other reviews, we booked a table in the dog friendly area of The Crown. Having had and a 2 hour walk beforehand, a well deserved refuelling stop. Quite chilly in that area of the pub. Cheap lunch menu. Specials board more expensive. We had Scampi & fries, small battered cod & chips. Both came with peas. I had much higher expectations and was disappointed in the portion size(5 scampi pieces). Would consider giving it another try sometime, go in the evening and dine in the restaurant area. Pay the more expensive dinner prices, in the hope that the food would not be cooked from frozen and the portion sizes would be satisfying.
