Food average food way over priced can get a larger gammon with pine apple and Trimming for half than that price wouldn't return carbanara way to much garlic and very small portion for £17 had to pay extra 1.50 for bit of cheese on garlic bread. Avoid if your hungry

We went for a spot of lunch were advised two boards with menus on were what was on today. We had a parooze and decided on a burger with trimmings and pan fried chicken with BBQ sauce a hunters chicken essentially. Wow! What a surprise when they come they were HUGE portions and great value for money absolutely delicious and Seasoned well. Would definitely recommend a pit stop here. We are lucky we were staying close but gutted we only stopped by on our last day if we only found you sooner. Only thing I'd suggest is maybe a little music it was very quiet and only passing people heading to the balcony. Dog friendly to.

I telephoned the Aquaduct Inn at 1140hrs from where our canal boat was moored up in Trevor basin asking if they could accommodate a couple and a small dog. A polite individual said 'no problem, you can go outside or there are 2 rooms in the pub where you can take your four legged friend'. We walked the 20 mins from Trevor across the Aquaduct along the towpath which is a very pleasant walk. On arrival as it had been raining and was still overcast, we were show. To we're we could sit with the dog. It is a traditional pub in pleasant surroundings. There was another couple there, who also had 2 dogs. I ordered drinks and a sharing platter. The drinks were perfect and the platter was what I can only describe as the best plaster we have had in a very long time. I fully recommend this establishment for bath drinks, food and hospitality.

Couldn't even comment on the food as we never even got that far! The 4 of us wandered in on a Thursday evening when the place looked fairly empty. Checked with the staff to see if they had any available tables for us. The staff were completely clueless about whether or not they could accommodate us, but asked us to take a seat at one of the several empty tables there were and they would check and let us know after they'd taken food out to a table outside. We watched them do that, but they never came over to confirm either way. Walked out after 20 minutes and headed to the kebab shop down the road. Would suggest you do the same.

We stopped here for a meal on the first night of a canal trip to Llangollen - it's fairly basic verging on run down, but I can see it's more of a locals pub, with a sign that bikers are welcome and a big TV screen in the games room. The food was mostly 'something and chips' and although we'd heard they catered for vegetarians, in reality there were two choices as opposed to 17 with meat. I didn't fancy either so just had some garlic mushrooms (starter) with chips which was ok. The terrace does have a fantastic view, but the restaurant is fairly bare and functional.

We visited twice last week as we were on a holiday on the Llangollen canal. On entering we were met by two friendly staff, who chatted to us as we ordered drinks, I had noticed the "Bikers welcome" sign outside , and as an ex-biker was pleased to see it. We (myself, wife and 3 grandsons) ordered meals and drinks. I had the fish and chips, wife and eldest GS had chicken and two younger GS the kids ( I think) lasagne. All meals well cooked and the 2 youngest jokingly lick their plates (ugh). Bill came to £38 plus two more rounds of drinks. The food and staff were all excellent but the view towards the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is stunning. We have been to some drinking places with great views around the World (in Australia,USA and Europe) but this is one of the most picturesque I have seen. We revisited the following day on our return down the cut, but just had drinks, as we had eaten in Trevor. See review of Telford Inn.

Thought we would have a evening meal here. Went into a very unwelcome greeting from a very unfriendly senior staff member. Asked if we could have an evening meal we were told very rudely that we would have to wait for a long time. As it was getting on in the evening we decided to stay. Other Welsh people who came in after us and ordered their meals were served well before us. In fact we waited for over an hour for our meals to be served. It seems to me that the senior staff member had a very anti. English bias and does not deserve to have a business at all. It is a pity because it is in a great location

Let me start by saying the pub was empty. So we should've been weary. We asked to order food. Mum asked for steak to be medium-well done. We were told the chef WILL NOT cook steak beyond medium as this takes him too long. My brother asked for the rind to be cut off his bacon, as he was ordering Hunters chicken, we were informed that the chef couldn't do this, as they were using fatty bacon and there would be no bacon left. We walked out in disgust at this point. The menu is a board in the dining area. They lost an order for food & drinks that would've been in the region of £60, for the sake of 2 simple requests.

My wife and I had lunch here. We had moored our day boat and climbed up to the pub as it had been recommended for its food.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch here on Mother's Day. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and lovely food. We tried the calamari and whitebait, which were both delicious and well cooked. Then the turkey, lamb and beef for main. Veg was cooked perfectly and the gravy was heavenly. All the adults were too full for pudding, but the kids managed to put away a huge piece of chocolate fudge cake between them! We are so pleased to find a nice local serving well, we will be back.

They catered for a party of 15 on the night. Not one word of disappointment about the food. Fantastic menu and well prepared and presented.

We popped in for a drink on a circular walk from Trevor. Pub is split in 3 sections . Games room, lounge and small bar with church pews. Also terrace outside overlooking viaduct. Good beer, friendly bar staff

Lovely, cosy, unpretentious pub which serves really good food. I had the sea bass - it was cooked to perfection, and for a very reasonable price. Combined with the superb location and friendly welcome this place is a real find.
