Chilli? I think not.Really disappointed with our meal here, we have been a few times but will think again next time in the area.My wife loves a chilli it arrived and it was far from a half decent chilli, watery tasteless more like a bad spaghetti bolognese.Manageress came over no apology just I believe you have a problem with the chilli " ive sold hundreds of chillies and your the first to complain" not great customer service. We did get given our money back but not offered to change it.Real shame as it was our first night our since lockdown.

Delicious food enjoyed at the end of a holiday to north wales. Lovely cosy country pub style and a great choice of food to enjoy. Definitely recommend the italian burger

Regular haunt when we're in Llanrug, always friendly service and good food. There was some confusion regarding the free drink with a steak meal offer which ended up not saving us anything. Condiments and sauces were on the tables as normal, but there was hand sanitiser available by the entrance. At the start of the evening some tables had notices on to stop people using them and help with social distancing. Unfortunately as time went past customers came in, removed the notices, and even sat in groups of up to 12! Disappointed, we left before we were compromised...

Visited twice during our stay at a nearby caravan park. Found the place to be very accommodating, food was really good with lots of choice. Tables spaced well apart, masks worn by staff and customers, track and trace adhered to, staff very friendly. No problems with the visit and will absolutely go again next time we are in the area.

Excellent food as usual. Big portions and cooked to perfection. However, I must state that the social distancing in place is questionable. They were quite strict regarding masks however tables were set as they were usually. Had to squeeze past other tables to get through. Was sat with my back nearly touching the chair behind me. No one way system when entering and leaving. People in doorway had to go out again for us to be able to get past. Don’t know why the other door was closed. Common sense says to use this door as an exit. Condiments on table - no sachets. Would be hesitant to visit again. It seems as they are putting profits in front of safety at the moment.

We dropped in here for a drink one wet September afternoon.We were camping nearby in the area for zip world.We decided to stay for a meal. We had a rack of lamb and a Mexican burger, both meals were honest pub grub, both hearty and tasty.

Called in for an evening meal the service was good and the food was good, the place was packed with no distancing between tables and the management just playing lip service to the rules, people brushing passed me, condiments and bottled sauces on table, made me feel uncomfortable, ate the meal and left!

We were staying at the holiday park just up the road and booked a table for our last night. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and even made an exception for us to allow our little dog in the restaurant area which we were really grateful for. There was a great selection of home cooked meals. I had the vegetarian lasagne which was really nice. The home cooked chips and salted caramel cheesecake were really good too. It was a lovely, cosy, traditional pub and we would definitely recommend a visit.

Called in for tea it’s a great traditional pub great interior,staff were great and friendly good menu offering proper home cooked food I had the lamb chops and it was the best meal I had all wee,we all enjoyed it the gravy deserves a special mention,prices are good as well,we highly recommend it.

We booked having read reviews on trip advisor prior to visiting the area, when we walked in I will say we’re a bit dubious as the decor is a very traditional, we needn’t have worried as we had one of the best meals with ever had!! Definitely worth a trip if you’re in the area food is delicious and staff were excellent

We went here several times for just drinks or to eat as well. The pub has created covered drinks areas outside with a couple of gazebos and this allows plenty of room while still enjoying a pint. When we went to eat (3 times) the pub was open inside. They have tried to keep families separate by not filling every table but the place is an old building so doesnt have a lot of space on the best of days. A wide selection of meats, fish and other dishes great you along with specials and daily deals. Well stocked bar so theres something for everyone. The outside play area was a welcome distraction for the kids too. We ate one day that qualified for the eat out promo and it was a bargain. Another night it wasnt on but was still great value. The mixed grill is amazing as is the duck. Will definitely go back.

We ate here under 2020 social distancing rules, so in a large tent outside. A friendly service and good size portions. The beer was good, with one ale on tap. Just what we needed after a day’s walking on Snowdon and s safe walk from Cwm y Glo.

Fantastic first call and collect food. Cajan chicken & pavlova for pudding. Thank you both as always.

Had not been for a meal at the Glyntwrog for a while but will not be leaving it long before we return based on tonights meal. The setting is a traditional but has a nice atmosphere about it with no loud music allowing you to have a chat and feel relaxed. The food served here is second to none. We opted for the mixed grills and steaks which were fantastic. Proper portions cooked freshly and at a reasonable price for the quality. Ten out of ten for the Glyntwrog Inn. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Massive portions and tasty food all at an excellent price. Great veggie options too. Had turkey roast and plaice and chips. Got a massive pile of meat and two portions of fish! Plenty of veg and gravy too. Seriously struggled to eat it all and I always clear my plate. Will definitely be back for more.

Our second visit to the glyntwrog, We had the Christmas lunch. OMG it was delicious, and lots of it. We had the turkey with all the trimmings, the mash potato was especially tasty and buttery. I'm not a lover of gravy usually, but I made an exception this time as it was so tasty. For sweet I had the bread and butter pudding and my friend had the cheesecake, Amazing !! To finish we had a pot of tea and mince pies. We were well looked after, The staff were friendly and attentive Thank you so much we went home very very full and content

I'd already had a roast Sunday dinner so I thought the fried whitebait starter might be enough for my tea. It was. It was lovely. The pub has its own style and is friendly and warm.

My friends organised my hen night here last weekend and i can say categorically that the staff were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone had a massive smile on their faces all night. The food was served to all 18 of us at once, piping hot and absolutely gorgeous (and generous). The Christmas decs had been put up and the atmosphere was lovely. Another bonus is their selection of gin. Goes without saying that we all had fun trying out new flavours ;) Thanks Glyntwrog for a great night. Diolch o galon i chi gyd x

We ate here while staying at the nearby Bryn Teg holiday park. The pub is old fashioned inside in a good way, full of quirky decor and bric a brac. For a Monday night, it was quite busy. Very cozy feeling. The food was excellent, straightforward homely dishes served in generous portions. Just the thing for a weary pair of travellers on a cold damp night! The staff were friendly and helpful. Only a 5 minute drive from the caravan park, could probably walk it in 15-20 if the weather was kinder.

The Glyntwrog Inn is a very friendly place. Me and my family went there today to have an evening meal. When we went in there I could see lovely decorations and really nice furniture. The whole place just had a really nice homely feel. We were advised when we made our booking to order quickly since a big group were coming and they didn’t want us to have to wait. This was very helpful and our food came very quickly. As the evening went on it got quite busy but not claustrophobic or anything bad. The portions were very large, I got the adult portion so I recommend anyone who is under 14 gets the kids portion. The adults portion was a bit much, but definitely worth your money. Overall a great place.

Visited here today for lunch, What an amazing pub, Friendly atmosphere, friendly staff. The menu is extensive lots to choose from, we didn't know where is start. We had the pork chops, absolutely delicious and lots of it They don't scrimp that's for sure, Food was piping hot and freshly made. Nice to see the can cook veg correctly They still had a bite to them. So full afterwards we could barely move. I Have taken a Christmas menu with me. We'll definitely be back for that Thank you for making us feel welcome

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely meal here when we were staying at Brynteg Holiday Park recently. We received a lovely, warm welcome from the staff, and ordered our food and drinks form the bar. The pub has an extensive menu plus a specials board from which to choose from plus various special offers on different nights. The service was very good, and the food was excellent (we had starters and main course). When our food arrived, it was freshly prepared, nicely presented and very flavoursome. The helpings were generous, so unfortunately we didn't have room for a dessert!! Food and drinks all very well priced, and represent exceptional value. Highly recommended.

We were searching for a place to stop for food on the way back from a visit to Llanberis and came across the The Glyntwrog Inn on Trip Advisor. Very friendly and helpful staff and the food was good quality and tasty.

I've visited this pub twice over the last couple of years when camping in Wales the last time being in August 2019. What a gem. The food is fantastic, massive portions and a wide selection including a specials board. No ping meals all home cooked. Staff extremely friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely food as usual and great value for money. This time we had the light lunch which was only £6. Food was fab and their home made chips just top it all off everytime! They are not stingy with their portions. Great value for money. Staff are also very nice.

Just like to say what a warm and friendly pub this is we stayed locally to climb Snowden and use this place for two nights on the trot from main evening meal the food was fantastic good for you and the staff were amazing keep the good work up will be back soon I hope X

When booking this venue we were not aware that a quiz night would greet us. However this only enhanced what turned out to be a very pleasant evening.Very friendly staff and customers made the evening both entertaining and enjoyable. The only problem came when I went to pay the bill as the card machine decided to 'play up'. After 7 attempts I gave up and luckily our party had enough cash between us to settle the account.

We ate here twice on our visit ant though it was very busy they were able to fit us in at short notice. The food was both good quality and substantial but not boring or stodgy, there was a wide enough range of choice to satisfy both kids and adults.

We visited for lunch on 23rd August en route to our holiday cottage based on trip adviser ratings. I can only assume these reviews were written by family and friends of the proprietor. The pub is grubby inside with strong smells of old cooking fat. We were greeted by bits of onion skin on the floor in the doorway. This should have been a warning. The menu is extensive and prices, apart from the light bites, would be what you'd expect to pay for good pub grub. However, that is not what was produced. Carrot and coriander soup was watery, tasted of meat and was inedible. Leek and potato soup had a rancid, cheesy grease flavour. Chicken goujons were ok but only 3 on a large plate was a mean portion. The only happy member of our group had a bag of crisps! I felt ill for the rest of the day after trying to eat my soup. One positive thing was the barman who was friendly and helpful and did ask if the soup which we couldn't eat was ok. He didn't really know what to do with the response which was "it was hot". The only positive thing about it. We paid and left asap. Don't believe the positive reviews.

The food here is excellent and all home cooked. The portions are large and you won't have room for anything else. It gets very busy so book a table to avoid being disappointed.

After climbing Snowdon wanted any nearby restaurant and called in here on off chance there was availability, and only couple tables left! Delicious meals and huge portions, perfect after an exhausting climb!! Would recommend this most definitely

Absolutely fantastic food. We were staying up the road at Bryntag and came here to eat a couple of times because it was cheaper and the food was great.

We were recommended this place by a friend and were not disappointed. Beware the portions are HUGE! I have never seen plates so large before! Great choice of menu which made it harder to choose. We enjoyed ourselves and would go back next time we are in N Wales

Called at this pub on Friday night as we were staying local . We phoned ahead to ask if they were a dog friendly establishment and were told yes . Unfortunately ended up in the beer garden and this was fine as it was a lovely evening as the dog wasn’t allowed in the main bar area . Food was ok , the chips looked like they had been reheated and it was very overpriced , not somewhere for the price I would visit again

Stayed in Llanrug for 1 week holiday. Dined here 3 times - each time service was good and food home cooked and varied choice. Staff also very pleasant . Would recommend

The restaurant was packed out for Sunday lunch which indicated the popularity of the place, the food was superb and plenty of it . Pleasant staff and everywhere spotlessly clean , we will be dinning here again.

we phoned two weeks in advance to book a table for six plus one dog were told no problem but as we had a dog we could not sit in the restaurant but we could have a tab!e in the bar area arrived no one seemed to be expecting us where told we could not sit with a dog in the main bar area but we would be in a small side bar once they had kicked the regulars off there seats don't think they where very happy lots of muttering in Welsh. we then had to eat our meals squashed around three small round pub table's food was mediocre at best and definitely over priced

Un des plus beaux pub que j'ai vu. Le personnel hyper sympa et simple. Et en plus nourriture maison. Purée de légumes, soupe, grillades etc. Et tout homemade et pas cher. Ça vaut le détour surtout si vs êtes à Llanberis où l'ambiance est un peu tristoune.

My Wife & I stayed at Brynteg Holiday Park last week and decided to eat here. Nice welcome, place was nice and clean, service very good from all staff. Very comfortable and we had a lovely meal at a reasonable cost. I’d have no problem in recommending this lovely Inn

Popped in for a meal as staying nearby. Had the half duck which was sublime! Partner had the salmon which was good too. Good range of drinks and friendly service

We have not been in the area for a couple of months, but are looking forward to our next visit. Nice , clean , homely restaurant with a variety of menu choices for all levels of age and hunger. Try their steaks.

Stayed in Llanrug for a week as a family of 14 and visited this place a few times for a drink - they have Hoegaarden on tap, so won me over immediately.

Three of us had a meal and drink here cannot recommend it enough good was excellent with large portions definitely one to visit again.

Ate here after a days walking. We were all really hungry. The food in quality,choice and quantity didn't disappoint. Not fancy but good basic food. The real (not frozen) chips were awesome

Great food at a reasonable price. Hearty portions good beer and a nice atmosphere. Definitely going back tomorrow night as we are staying at a hotel close by. The food here is far superior to the hotel's offering. Better choice and just better all round.

We had a meal here last October and were very impressed , so returned with friends we were not dissapointed, 5 excellent meals all very happy customers we each had something different from the menu , again I say they are big meals , but lovely . The staff are friendly and there is an good atmosphere. It was so good 3 of us returned again had 3 completely different meals all excellent. Would highly recommend the lamb shank , beef Madras or liver with onion gravy . Next time we are here on holiday , we will defiantly return.

Friendly staff, roast dinner portion was massive but not particularly good. Not very accommodating for dog owners unless you like sitting in a dark room with no windows and sport blaring on the TV

We had a evening meal here and his evening. We had food was all home cooked and very tasty with generous portions. Staff were very good and very friendly. Good selection of beers - the Golden Hen was lovely. All in al a great place that I would definitely recommend you try!

A personal favourite of mine. Always great tasting food and plenty on the plate. Lunchtime, with a starter or afters you generally don't need much at the end of the day. Steak is very tasty and done to your request, selection of veg and plenty supplied. Visit at least three times annually on average so must be pretty good.

Popped here for lunch after going to Zip World, prior to checking in at our hotel in Llanberis. What a pleasant surprise. An good choice menu, with various specials. We opted for the light bites menu at £6, which was exceptional value, no skimping on portions. I opted for scampi and the husband chose liver, both very good. Fantastic home cooked chips!

Service was great but food was very average and over priced, best bit of the meal were the veg. Wouldn’t bother going back.

Simple, but beautiful home cooked food. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and phoned round to find us somewhere to stay for the night with our two dogs. Will definitely drop in again next time we are down this way.

Another visit to one of our favourite pubs . Very surprised how busy it was for a cold and miserable Monday November night . Lots of interesting specials on the board, my wavell, local butcher burger was delicious, as was my sister’s cooked to perfection fillet steak. Lovely salads and proper chips.

Really good, traditional pub food served in pleasant surroundings. Not gormet or gastropub cuisine but simply well done and generous portions. Good beer (Hoegaarden on tap is a rare thing in these parts) and a convivial atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I went for lunch solo and I was impressed by the extensive menu. What I really liked was that a number of dishes are available as "Light Bites" (smaller portions) at £6 per meal. This is excellent for me as I don't eat much at lunchtimes. Service was prompt and food quality very good.

Me and the girlfriend come here for something to eat, we hadn’t booked and the place was really busy but they looked after us and made us feel really welcome even the locals (Will). The food was lovely and we are so happy that we’ve found such a lovely place to come and eat. We will defenetly come here again and we will recommend it to everyone.

Called in tonight for tea, the bar staff was very friendly and the beer was kept very well, there is a good selection on the menu and also a specials wall, we didn't wait long for our meals but they are very large , we were so glad we hadn't ordered starters.I would recommend and definetly return.

Been using this pub for great meals for a few years now, I take the family or sometimes go with friends, there was one member of the bar staff who had a chip on his shoulder, he was going out of his way to be awkward! We use to go there weekly if not fortnightly but unfortunately he put me off the place, my friends haven't been back since, being totally honest it's a great pub and I still recommend it to people and maybe one day who knows!

The food was shocking. I had slimy salmon, needless to say i didnt eat it. My other half had the combo of ribs and chicken which were definitely brought in from ASDA.

On arriving at 7pm on a Saturday evening we placed our order. A short time later we were told one of the meals ordered was sold out. We ordered a second choice. About twenty minutes later, we were informed the second choice was also unavailable. I then ordered again. By 8 pm when the whole of our group had been served, all of whom ordered after us we asked if our meals had been forgotten. We were assured not, but sometime later when it arrived it was obvious that they had scraped together both meals. They were badly presented and the portions looked like children’s servings rather than the ample meals our friends had been served. Appalling, overpriced and poorly staffed.

Been here many times before but not for a few years now. Went late Friday afternoon full of excitement from our previous visits. Two out of three meals were fine. The third was awful. Was meant to be spicy chicken wings and ribs, at £13 wasn't cheap. This was definitely not home cooked. No spice at all. Chips were burnt, over cooked. Ribs and chicken tasted like they were out of a supermarket freezer.

Popular pub situated on A5 with a large car park and small garden. Good selection of hand pulled ale, recommend a pint of Rev James. Lovely hearty food on offer plus daily specials. All the meat is sourced from the local butcher, you won't be disappointed. Advise to book a table as can be busy even on a wet Tuesday evening in September.

Only a small pub on the corner of a busy road, but has a decent sized car park. However the food is amazingly tasty and at a fair price too and presentation of it was good. We had gammon and it was delicious. got quite busy whilst we were there. Prices not cheap but we would say fair.

Great place for traditional home style pub food like burgers, steaks and pie. Not the cheapest pub food, but certainly filling and tasty. Pleasant service as well!

Called here on a Saturday night very busy but the staff fitted us in. Ordered the scampi and a portion of whitebait which were delicious.would recommend this establishment to anyone the food is great and the staff are very friendly.

We (3 adults and 5 children) were staying st a nearby campsite so headed down to the nearest pub for food. The staff quickly found us a table even though very busy with reserved tables. Children’s meals were good portion sizes and the adults took advantage of the Wednesday Burger Offer. Meals came soon after and all were fantastic. Burgers were cooked through (a pet hate is the burgers that are pink in the middle) and in the children’s words ‘these real chips are yummy’. A good selection of drinks too. Very impressed with our visit and if we are in the area we will definitely visit again!

We have been eating at the Glyntwrog for over ten years but today will sadly be our last. We ordered roast dinners for 4 adults and 4 children, spending over £150 and after a long wait, with one meal arriving 20 minutes after everyone else’s we were asked to clear the table for the next sitting at 5pm. Totally underwhelmed by the food and the way we were spoken to by the owner. Excuses were made that it was a busy day but we all felt disappointed and unwelcome. We can only complain by trip advisor and by not returning as the owner did not care in the slightest that we were upset by the poor service or her hostility. Goodbye Glyntwrog.

Frequently visit this pub for meals. Both aduults & children love the food! Great armosphere & varied menu.

Been coming jere for years, the food is always so tasty with nice big portions that aren’t too big! There’s a mix of burgers, and meat dishes mainly. Each Wednesday night is a burger and drink offer, same on Thursday evenings. At lunch they do “light bites” which are really nice smaller portions of their normal food! Would always recommend the lasagna, and their burgers!

Lovely pub, great service, range of beers, nice garden. The meals were fab - large plates of freshly cooked food. Just what you want when you come down a mountain. I even got to practice my Welsh at the bar.

Visited here while staying at the Llys derwen camp site just up the lane, great little pub with a good atmosphere, great selection of drinks and a good food menu with homemade chips, good little kids menu too. If you’re stopping at the campsite or are passing by llanrug after climbing snowdon then pay this place a visit, you won’t be disappointed!

They do great food with large helpings. Definitely worth a return visit. Staff very welcoming and unlike a few places they recognise tourism and tourists as an essential part of their livelihood.

The staff were very helpful. Although the place was full our meals were served quickly and efficiently. Everything was tasty and the portions were huge.

Told 30 mins after ordering that my choice wasn't available. Told that all colouring facilities for kids where already out so had to scour pub ourselves to see if we could share usage with another family. No amendment made to bill by bar staff due to non available food. No tip for bar staff. Shame as the pub is great and food was very good when it eventually came.

Very disappointing last two times we have visited. used to love coming here. The beef madras was disgusting no sauce just dry pieces of disgusting beef. The lasagne was sooooo small ate it all within 3 bites. Very disappointing.
