Food was mediocre at best. Very little attention to detail. Ordered a sandwich without tomato. And the side salad came covered in tomato. Service doest warrant the cost. Actually felt like not eating and just leaving at one point

We were visiting Criccieth for few hours and visited Swn-y-Mor for lunch as it was dog friendly. We only had a snack as we were on our way home after spending a few days in the area. Food was good and service excellent, would recommend the home made scones.

Visited here for a late lunch. Busy place with indoor & outdoor seating. Plenty of staff who were busy delivering food orders & clearing tables. You order & pay at counter indoors & food served to your table. I had a cheese scone, which was enormous & very good indeed. My husband ordered Welsh Rarebit which he was enormously disappointed with. We both expected it to be on some nice slice of chunky bread cut from a loaf of bread. It was however on bread from a packet loaf of bread !!! Definitely a disappointing experience for him.

Delicious food, nice menu AND with vegan options offered easily. The staff were pleasant and efficient. The service was really good and the meals delicious. I had a vegan breakfast and my partner had scrambled egg on toast all washed down with proper leaf tea. And the views were the added bonus! Later had a pot of tea and scone. This is a great establishment and we wish it well!

Great food and service. Plenty of gluten free options for lunch. I opted for the GF BLT. Decent sized portions and reasonably priced. Dogs are allowed inside and outside. It's rare for me to find somewhere that's dog friendly and serves gluten free, would highly recommend! It's also on the beach front, perfect for a bite before or after a walk on the beach.

How Odd. Place had 1 couple inside. Sun was out and it had been dry for over an hour. We went to sit outside in the sun but when we asked for a menu we were greeted with you can not sit there? Why we enquired? Because it’s been raining and we have shut that area off. They wanted us to sit inside or under cover. If it was raining and looked like rain I would fully understand but the Sky is blue and almost without a cloud. Hence we walked away without further unprovoked confrontation. You’ve lost my business and gained a negative review. How savvy of you, or are you running this business down on purpose. Sat elsewhere enjoying ourselves with great service.

Lovely warm welcome. We wanted gluten free food which they couldn’t guarantee as it’s all cooked on the same griddle, but they have gluten free bread. Order breakfast each which was cooked to our liking, I would say it can do with being hotter not sure if it’s just because the plates aren’t hot that food wasn’t too hot, but all in all a very lovely breakfast. The coffee and hot chocolate was lovely quality and very hot. I would recommend this restaurant and will return

Visited to stop off for a coffee and scone, got the drinks straight away however waited 30 minutes in total for a scone that was in the case ready? After 15 minutes went to see where is was as was told it would be brought out to where I was rudely greeted with ‘we are busy you know can you not see we will bring it out when it’s ready’. Went and sat back down but then after another 15 minutes totalling half an hour I went back just to get a refund as we had finished out drinks. When asking for a refund the £4 was thrown in my hand without even an apology. Staff were very very rude making the experience very unwelcoming and wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Very disappointing experience. -Edit- In response to the business reply, firstly when I went to ask for an update yes I did go to the side because a lady acknowledged as I was walking over but I waited patiently to be asked if I was okay, when I politely asked if my scone was ready as I had waited a while. I was shouted at from the lady on the till which is where she said ‘we are busy you know can you not see’. The second time I went in I waited Patiently behind an old lady in the Que who was getting served when I asked for a refund. I did not once ‘push to the front’ I also did not say the words ‘they clearly don’t know what they’re doing’ I’m unsure who or where u have heard this from? However if I am going to be shouted at first when simply asking if my food was ready it is going to cause customers like myself to become agitated. If you are busy and have an extended wait on food it would be good common courtesy to make customers aware of that. If this is your interpretation of what happened i would advise if you have CTTV recording that you watch it back and listen to it as what you have said is rather fabricated and some points you are made are in fact false.

Fairly pleasant lunch but this was ruined by a trip to the toilet, which were very shabby and not clean. Shame because this tainted the experience as I always wonder what cleanliness is like in the kitchen, which obviously isn't on show to customers like the toilets are.

Good for light snacks and lovely home-made cakes. The best over the East Beach and beyond from the outside terrace. As locals, my wife and I have been frequent diners at Swn-y-Mor for a number of years. With the stupendous sea-view from its outside terrace it was a favourite dining spot for us as a couple and often with friends and family. We were VERY disappointed when "SyM" opened this season with a menu limited only to snacks and drinks. Where were the delicious local burgers, lamb steaks, and crunch golden chips, etc which made for satisfying meals at a reasonable price. We hoped in the early summer that the "cafe" menu was only a temporary measure until the summer season got fully under way. Sadly this was not the case and staff have told us that the new, limited menu is here to stay. I don't know if this is because of a problem in recruiting kitchen staff, a frequent excuse/reason offered nowadays locally or for some other mysterious reason. Unless things change "SyM" will no longer be on our short list of favourite local restaurants. The view is lovely and the staff pleasant and obliging but when we eat out it is mainly for a full meal - as locals if we want a cafe it is quicker and cheaper to walk home. As someone who worked in hotels and restaurants for a number of years I find it hard to understand how the management believe that changing from a restaurant to a cafe will do anything to increase their profits. I'm VERY SORRY to give this rather negative review but I hope it will prompt the management to return to their full menu.

First visit this year, after many years of visits. Very poor breakfast- could bounce the eggs off the floor, tough bacon, warm bread- not toast. You used to be able to “swap”. Eg, if didn’t like beans, could have mushrooms, for example. Not allowed now. No tomatoes, mushrooms, black pudding. Also, can’t book a table. Doesn’t anywhere near live up to previous visits. Opening times very short- 10 to 4.30, not even every day. Such a shame, as a prime position, and captive market. A great plus is the rooftop dining area, and lovely to have loose tea.

Stopped at this lovely little cafe for a drink. We wanted to sit outside however none were available. We were then offered a table outside which really was the best in the house. We only intended to have a drink, however decided on something light to eat between us, we choose a tuna baguette which was absolutely delicious, packed full of tuna and mayo. We decided to stay for another drink and after our drinks were received we were asked to move as the table had been booked, a little disappointed that we weren’t advised when we were offered it. We wouldn’t have stayed for another drink if we knew as we then ended up in full sun which really was too hot at the time. We enjoyed the food and the service was very good, just a little more communication would have been great.
