Had a great meal, staff very friendly and attentive. Will come again when visiting family in Ayrshire Sorry to hear this place is closed now too!! Many many good places to eat closing down which is sad to hear 😥 Maybe somebody will take it over 🤞🏼

Doesn't look much from outside but I shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Just had the most amazing meal here. Baked goats cheese, lamb fillet with peppercorn sauce, then pineapple and passion fruit pavlova. I swear I haven't had such a delicious meal in a long time. The ambience was really friendly and pleasant. The staff were attentive and the food was served quickly, freshly made and hot. Plenty of flash cars in the car park so obviously well loved in this area. Lovely sea view out of the front too. Very pleased and would strongly recommend. Do not miss this when in the Maybole area or when visiting Culzean Castle.

Such a shame what a lovely place and meal, but some of the staff were rather rude. At 930 the staff continued to remove items from our table, turning lights off and creating a very u welcoming environment. Obviously staff were pretty desperate to close. We felt very unwelcome in the end.

From the moment you enter it’s obvious the staff are miserable, or else untrained. No welcome and certainly no smiles. It seems they don’t want to be there. Food is below par but prices high. Won’t be returning.

Was not expecting to have one of the best curries ive tasted in a little pub like this. Good value for money; the portion was massive and everything was delicious. Service was super quick and friendly. We look forward to returning.

4 adults welcomed and treated well . The main menu is nice and plenty of choice. There is also a cheaper menu that is served till 6pm with cheaper but similar options. We were given extra cutlery and plates so we could share our starters and desserts. Chicken tempura to start hot and fresh The main courses were nicely presented the mashed potatoes delicious seasonal veg nicely cooked 2 braised ribeye 1 chicken pepper sauce without the haggis 1 chicken with cream cheese and in a cream and tomato sauce lovely Nice choice of dessert

My cousin took me here for a pub lunch it was lovely food was nice nice friendly staff . Small but nice. They do take walk ins along with bookings

Popped in to hotel to ask if we could see menu for restaurant. The lady on reception was very friendly & most helpful. Menu had a good choice. Meals were lovely. Served quickly by friendly members of staff. Restaurant is nice & comfortable with a relaxed atmosphere. We most definitely will return!

Brilliant location,with very friendly & informative staff,food was also of a high standard for a country pub,very nice relaxing beer garden adds to the experience

We booked a table for 26th December for our anniversary and although we have lived in Mauchline for a year we had not visited before. My husband had nachos followed by a pasta dish and tiramisu for desert I had feta and cranberry parcel followed by duck and then toffee apple crumble all the dishes were absolutely amazing, the staff were attentive and friendly it was faultless cant wait to go back.

visited the coffee spot yesterday on our way to Peebles , there were 4 of us 3 had breakfast rolls and 1 a small breakfast all cooked to order and piping hot,and could'nt resist a cake from the large selection of home baking on display.the staff were all very helpful and pleasant .great value for money and the premises were spotless ,with parking outside the door no problem,will be back next time in Bigger

Great food and good service. Lasagna and Carbonara were excellent but let down by Garlic Bread (cold). Cajun Chicken, Gammon and Burger all very good. Service was pleasant but attracting attention for more drinks was challenging.
