Went for a family get together, great table, great food. I think there has been a menu relaunch recently, I had the vegetarian South Indian curry, delicious. Staff were lovely. Great value.

A very disappointing experience in a nice setting. Staff tried their best but there were not enough to cope with a large group and X2 wakes. Service was slow to say the least and the wait for the bill equally as long. I had the steak frites - the steak was awful and worst I have ever had. It was cheap but please charge more and use better quality meat. Sauce was not great either. Chips well seasoned. The consensus at the table was the same on the steak frites. However there were good reviews on the fish & chips and the burger. Parking is not great either.

Was at the parkville on Tuesday 4th March, have been many times, and this has to be the worst, had to send starter back, it was cold and got something we had ordered as a main served with the starter so had to send back, we were there 1 hour and 15 minutes before we got our main, wasn't that hot either, chicken I got was tough, hard to cut and bit of the dish missing from what was on menu,drinks service very slow, really disappointed, going downhill

Not the best visit this time. When booking you are told how long you can have the table, we were there far longer than that. We waited a long time for food and had to ask several times what was happening. Not enjoyable this time 😒

Nice local restaurant interior is fresh with a relaxed atmosphere. food & staff are good here.

Their car park is accessible by crossing pavement on busy main street. There is no signage warning drivers to give way to pedestrians. I was almost run down by car exiting without checking, the driver then shouted abuse at me. When I complained to manager they said it was nothing to do with them -while recognising pedestrians have the right of way- so I couldn't take it further, told to call the police if I wanted to.

Had a great night in the parkville restaurant for my sisters 60th ,partners birthday and sons birthday all on the one evening . Table was not ready when we arrived but the amazing young man named Charlie quickly arranged balloons, banner and table decorations which had all been delivered earlier on the day . Charlie was an outstanding part of our evening making sure meals ,drinks were all served promptly, and lastly birthday cake with candles lit and lights dimmed for the family and patrons to sing Happy birthday to my sister . Thank you all at the parkville Blantyre for fantastic food and service . Well done Charlie and thank you from our family you made our night a great one .

My parents both had fish and chips which looked nice and tasted good. I had pan fried chicken breast which was not so good. It was dry, missing some of the ingredients and very salty. Not worth the price. The waiting staff were very pleasant but the meal took 45-50 minutes to come. Bit disappointed .

Absolutely fabulous Itison voucher experience / couldn’t fault food, cocktails or service - everything was first class Excellent menu with plenty of varied choices - a real surprise was the Cullen Skink Chowder, not seen it on a menu for a long time, it was absolutely divine !

Had a family breakfast this week and was lovely, had been previously and hadn’t been up to scratch. Potato scone had just been put on the plate without being cooked, tea was lukewarm, service wasn’t great, however I think it was just a bad day. We all had the full Scottish Breakfast scrambled and poached eggs, latte and tea, all served nice and hot, and cooked well. Service lovely too. Thank you

Service was extremely poor. Drinks took forever to come out and only asking after 25 minutes where they were did they appear. And when questioned what the 2 different prices were on menu for steak pie once bill came out as was once bill came out as was charged the most expensive one. Was told this was small and large which we was not offered any different sizes. As to which the kids steak pie was bigger than most of the large ones we paid for . The 10oz steak which was £30 when came out 1st time looked like it had been bashed with hammer for 10 minutes. Which then sent back took a further 15 minutes to come out even though was asked to be cooked rare again did not come out rare. All in all not a great meal which was for my wife’s 40th so was not happy at all and only giving 2 star as our waitress for the evening was very pleasant

Had lunch on Wednesday 19 February with three friends. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Thank you once again.

Went for afternoon lunch with 4 other pensioner friends,great location with abundant parking,good ambiance as we entered and were promptly shown to a table in the lovely restaurant area.A very good and comprehensive menu,a couple of friends chose the gammon steak and very much enjoyed it,I had the excellent home made macaroni and cheese, service was prompt and friendly and all in all great value, definitely intend to return regularly.

We booked our wedding in the Parkville wasn't sure what to expect omg outstanding cant thank them enough every detail was exceptional from Peter the Dj who had everyone on there feet Craig from enchanted limousines gorgeous cars Our cake was stunning. Allana our wedding coordinator and her team went above and beyond for my husband and I and of course our family and friends I can't thank them enough for making our day and night so special. The food was outstanding and our room for the night was lovely i honestly have no bad things to say every single detail was exceptional. Would highly recommend. Was there on Saturday (15th February) the food was great but the service unfortunately did let our experience down. I can totally understand it was a Saturday night and it was busy of course but the service was far too slow.. waited on mains for 40-45 minutes then the waitress actually asked us if we ordered/were waiting on desserts… we ended up having 3 courses because the wait between meals was too long… needed a dessert by the time it got back round to the plates been cleared from mains… also did notice the tables around us as well were getting the same level of service. Staff were lovely and someone did actually apologise for our wait, hopefully it’ll be better when we return.

What can I say we had our wedding here on the14/2/25 as nervous first first timers with no experience the parkvile staff made it all happen without even tinyiest glitch every thng went perfect from the moment we booked till the last dance the food was amazing the hall was out of this world and the staff were so accommodating to us all especially my disabled son the went above and beyond and the wedding planner Allana was at our beconing call the whole day and night and every other member of staff was amazing so me and my new wife would just like to thank every one involved in makeing our big day so special and take the chance to thank the parkvile from the bottom of our hearts yous done us well proud and would highly recommend the parkvile for weddings and ps the wedding suite we got to stay in was perfect Mr ,& Mrs brown ❤️❤️❤️

UPDATE: February 2025. This is the third time I've been here giving it one more chance, sadly the service and food again was extremely poor. We waited about 40 minutes for our main course and when it arrived I had to send mines back (Chicken burger with Katsu sauce) as it was rock hard with no sauce on it at all. I then had to wait a further 10 mins for the Steak Pie with fries which was quite good. The two tables next to us were also waiting for extremely long periods of time. There appears to be real issues with waiting staff, and it looks like the management are all over the place when it gets very busy. Another poor experience after giving it a final chance.

Had a wonderful dinner with friends visiting from Surrey, the 4 of us had zero complaints! Our young waiter was so attentive (sorry forgot to get his name - young looking guy short dark hair!) Steaks all cooked to absolute perfection. Thank you 😊

Staff is very unfriendly. Made you feel like everything was a bother. Food was lovely except the deep-fried potato scones .

Had a lovely meal on Christmas Eve. Service was really good and normal wait times for busy period. Great atmosphere and thoroughly enjoyed our food. Only issue we had was being in a booth plus having high chair on end for our toddler as a bit cramped for space and kids sliding off seat when wanted in beside us. However we didn’t specify we did not want a booth but hopefully that’s something that we can enquire about for in our next booking. Staff were very accommodating and friendly.

Lovely afternoon place was busy but se vice was quick and food was delicious

Was there twice within 7 days and had 2 different experiences. We used the same menu both times and ordered the same meals both times and some inconsistencies crept in for visit 2. Our prawn cocktails had no sauce and no lemon which was not how it had been the week before. The turkey plateful was ever so slightly smaller this 2nd time around and the poached pears were served totally different from visit 1 to visit 2. The first time they were fanned 2nd time sliced up into bigger chunks. That said we always enjoy our visits but was left a bit deflated after this visit.

Booked dinner very last minute. Food and service was amazing.

I was recently visited the Parkville for dinner with a friend. Not only was the steak pie fantastic, but our server (Caitlin) was great. She was attentive, enthusiastic and overall made our evening a great one. Thanks and we will be back!

Lovely Christmas lunch with a group of 8 friends. Food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. Tables set and looked very festive. Service was great from Steph and her team. I would definitely recommend the Parkville and we will definitely be back

Came in with the family for my masters graduation meal tonight. Excellent service and delicious food, as always. Gracie and Amy were lovely servers and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

Balmoral chicken has changed and it was truly awful. Instead of a chicken breast it’s a bit of chargrilled chicken with an overpowering taste. The sauce and haggis had no flavour. Very disappointing!

A fabulous meal at a great venue. Food was excellent and very reasonable price. Special mention for our waiter Charlie, he was very good ,freindly and sincere. A pleasure to be looked after by this young man during our meal.

The Parkville is great value for money, particularly the 2-4-1 deals. We had chicken pakora to start and cajan chicken and steak pie for main course. All the food was delicious with excellent portion sizes. We must give a special shout out to our waitress Zoe who was so friendly and willing to help. If there are any awards for staff going above and beyond we would definitely like to nominate her. Zoe is one of the most pleasant and helpful waitresses we have met.

We had a lovely meal to celebrate our friends 80th birthday. All the staff were fantastic, they couldn't do enough for us and made the occasion very special.

5 of us had lunch in the restaurant and had 4 different meals. All the meals were lovely and the portions were generous. The staff were really nice and friendly. Service was great and prices were reasonable.

Staff were brilliantly working through out the night Never stopped once absolutely brilliant Upmost respect to the old boy (blue polo shirt) that clearly knows how to run a business teaching the new young staff lessons. The old boy can pour a perfect pint of Tennents lager. Very similar to the Tennents brewery. 10/10 My favourite pint in Scotland is a pint of Tennents in Babbity Bowster and this was on the dot similar. The pint I received was incredible and very similar. 5/5. Respect to the bar staff.

We enjoyed a lovely meal and all the staff where excellent from welcoming us all the way to paying the bill. Nothing was a bother and the food was excellent as always. We will be back.

We went for a breakfast. Breakfast is great everything you want, generous portions and the staff are just lovely, friendly and so helpful.

Best hotel to stay in at Hamilton with fine bar & resto, recommend that you rent a car to see more of city centre, etc. With the price you pay here is the comfort and cleanliness of the hotel - breakfast not inclusive. Super clean, quiet and comfortable bed. The check-in staff, restaurant staff and cleaner were very accommodating & helpful like suggesting best places in the centre. Definitely will recommend to my family friends. Bus stops right in front of hotel though took an hour to city center. Else the nearest train was not available during our stay for 6 days. The room no. 5 had a tiny corner basin/sink almost struggling to wash face or brush our teeth without splashing water on floor. That would need an upgrade and mirror in the bathroom was higher than 5 feet. Suggestion: Hallway carpet is heavily dusty/filthy, maybe remove or change. Also room had a bright green light (light for fire exit), that lit up the room at night when sleeping.

Food is very sub-par. Everything served dry. Meat overcooked and tasteless, onion rings are clearly not even made in house (pre-made/frozen) and not served with any kind of sauce. I didn’t order a carbonara, but the menu says it’s made with cream which any Italian would find deplorable.

Stayed here 2 nights, both nights restaurant busy, food is good, room is ideal for my 2 night stay, staff in restaurant and bar were friendly

We booked a celebration of life dinner at the Parkville and the experience was stellar from start to finish. I booked from overseas and Sharon was an amazing partner throughout the planning process, including late additions to our large party. Once we arrived for the dinner, the staff was amazingly attentive. The food was delicious. Overall, we couldn't be happier with the experience. Thank you so much for helping us honor our loved one.

Brilliant night for the Scotland game. Well planned and loads of staff to keep the bar from being busy. Pints from the tap are top notch

Oh dear. As a regular customer with my family to the restaurant we always enjoy our meals together and have done for several years. Last night at the, £10 a head for the Scotland game, was a shambles. Big new TV's around for a great view was the 1st problem. There were only 2 extra screens in the whole of the dinning/lounge area. These were sitting at an angle in the corner as the cables from the TV on the wall was not long enough. People in the booths could not see theese screens and had to screw thier eyes to see 2 wee tvs high up on the opposite wall.If you were at one end of the room you struggled to see the game at the other end of the room. In the lounge area where the singer was there was 1 tv for the whole area. Loads of people were complaining. After the game I went up to get my free drink as we had bought the Scotland tops. A staff member was there putting a mark on our wrist to go to the bar for our drink. When we ordered the drink we showed our mark. At this point the bar staff said I had to pay for it as we already had our drinks. He insisted that the pen mark indicated that we had our drinks. I explained that this was not the case and asked if this was indeed the process how come no bar staff had the marker to mark someone when they handed the drinks over. Was meet with a confused and irritated server. Eventually gave us the drinks. To compound the very poor experience people from the bar came through and got free drinks and overcooked pies, 'no veggie option'. It was a shambles. As a footnote it was a mistake to close the kitchen. It is a long day from 4.00, drinking, without something to eat. Eventually because people were complaining chips were made available, £7 for 2 wee portions. Come on if you are going to put on events like this a bit of planning is required. Was there no managers on shift and if there was did they feed back as to the 'success' of the night.

Great place to eat it has a great variety of lunch/ main or senior menus. Great service food fabulous 👌 definitely will be back.

Not been for a while.There for evening meal only… excellent food as always, however the service was pretty slow hence the lower score.

Well where do I begin, we had our wedding at the The Parkville on 18 May 2024. From start to finish everything was perfect. Alanna and the staff would not do enough to ensure everything was what we wanted. Nothing was a problem. On the day everything ran so smooth we had many compliments about how efficient everyone was. The food was amazing as always. The staff were welcoming and friendly all day and night. If anyone is thinking about booking this venue I say go for it, you will not regret it.

Went for friend birthday. Starters lovely and 2 out of 3 mains good, my macaroni and cheese had to go back as wasn't hot though you could hardly touch plate as it was hot. Not at all like Parkville as usually no complaints.

The last 2 occasions we've eaten at the parkville my partner has had 2 poor meals one being a steak that was absolutely cremated and when complaining the chef said "it's because you asked for well done". Eh no, there's well done, and there's a piece of coal on the plate. Eventually the meal was removed from our bill. The waitress I felt sorry as she too could see the state of the steak despite the chefs explanation. I've cooked much better at home! On Friday there, my partner had the butter chicken. The sauce was incredibly salty and tasted like a microwave or jar sauce, very disappointing. Due to our last 2 experiences we will give the parkville a miss for a while.

Came for breakfast for my daughters birthday. We have always enjoyed the Parkville breakfast but i noticed a big change. We ordered the full breakfast but it wasn't as nice as it had been in the past. The square sausages are not of the same quality and it felt like my plate had been re heated in the microwave as the scrambled egg looked dry and rubbery and my tea didn't come till I was half way through my breakfast. All in all it was ok but disappointing as not as good as all the times before.

Went to the Parkville at the weekend, haven’t been for a long time. Such a pleasant environment and lovely meal had by family. Especially great with allergies, our waitress changed between courses and we were asked by each waitress if we had allergies and they made sure that my meal was safe to eat. Definitely be back soon, makes a big difference when they are aware and proactively ask about allergies! Food was amazing and service was very good and kept on top of the table even when it was busy. Thanks.

A very young (looking) staff worked their wee bums all day and every single one of them treated everyone with respect and did their own job to a very high level ! Can't fault a single thing.......great experience for a BIG party today! Give them all a wee wage rise ! 😁

We came here for a memorial service for a good friend. The venue worked well for the 50+ attendees and the staff were polite and helpful. The food, sandwiches and sausage rolls, was tasty and provided in sufficient quantities.

Booked a table for 8pm. On arrival they couldn’t find my booking. After finding it I was told that the food was last orders at 8 but not to worry we could still order food. The food was good as always but the service fell way short. Bit disappointed to say the least

Good range on the menu with the choice of smaller portions. Always found the restaurant to give good value.

Went to restaurant for evening meal. 6 30 - 7pm midweek and place was very busy. Staff were attentive but think kitchen missed our order. Two tables who came in after us were served before us and waitress then realised and hurried order up. Food was good ( fish and chips) but service was slow. Won't be hurrying back.

Went for a family anniversary breakfast. Great table in a busy restaurant 👌. The server kindly gave us time before taking our orders. None of us ordered the same thing, but all the order was delivered spot on. Delicious and freshly cooked. First class, thank you ver much.

We visited Friday night 23/2/24 for my husband’s birthday we had booked a table. We use the Parkville alot and have done for nearly 20 years. We were squashed in beside another table so much so it felt like we were the one big table. The kids chicken tenders were so overcooked the batter was dark brown, we ordered two regular steak pies and although tasted lovely they had 2/3 pieces of meat which was quite a small portion. Not the usual standard from you.

Staff couldn't have been nicer, food was great and didn't have long to wait. The value for money in here is what makes this place stand out from the rest. I didn't stay over, I was only here for a family meal and none of us had one bad thing to say.

Great food brilliant selection. Fantastic service and very good prices. Eat here often with family. Always a great experience. Highly recommend going there for a meal
