The best restaurants serving British food in North East Scotland

Good things : This cafe is in a great location and offers plenty of seating outside which is ideal for those with dogs. Not so good things : The coffee was ok although pricey for the size of cup. Cakes were nice enough, but had too much buttercream icing. Bad things : The layout of the tables inside is a bit congested. The volume and choice of music appears to be for the benefit of the staff because we, and those around us at other tables, to raise our voices to have a conversation.

Nice place. Good menu. But the service was terrible. We ask for a table to lunch, and the answer, with a grumpy face, was " kitchen closed, too busy" no option, no sorry.

Great staff. Service with a smile.

We got a haddock supper and a haggis supper. Nothing about it was particularly good. Haggis was OK, portions of chips were of decent size. Haddock was the smallest piece of fish I've had from a chippy in my life!

Amazing and good services highly recommended. Nice fish and chips and customer service is very excelent afer finished my univercity is lovely diner

Excellent service, will go again. Staff member Claire was most helpful. Was not sure if they would fit us in due to the amount of swim competition competitors that were staying but managed to get a table

Poor communication all round in the hotel, had to cancel a taxi and there was only one member of staff who looked dumfounded. Food wasn't great either, I ordered a steak pie and it was just cut up steak with a 99p pastry on top of it One of the worst hotels i've every stayed in. Also playing music until 2:00am so impossible to sleep

Decent evening meal. Was fairly quiet on a Sunday so they were serving in the Ghillie Bar rather than the restaurant. Salmon was tasty, perfectly cooked and well presented.

Simplemente el mejor filete con todos los adornos que he tenido. De origen local y perfectamente cocido (medio raro) con una salsa cremosa de pimiento, aros de cebolla y un lado extra de cebollas fritas con jugosos tomates dulces y champiñones. Tradicional y como me gusta. Regado con una botella de Merlot en un entorno muy atractivo. ¡Volveré! !

I got a fish supper from here last week. The food was really good. The service was good and I would definitely come back again.

Gran parada para ciclistas. Gran café y pastel. Personal amable. Gran menú de almuerzo. Sin duda recomendaría una visita. .

lady has problem with english i said 3 burger she put two. i say i want burger souse she ask 2min later chilli and garlic?? lol .. taste getting worse last time when i been there. it was very tasty van when old people worked now new are working and its bad:)

Being poorly staffed like that on one of the busiest days of the year is insanity. Can’t even be upset at the staff there since it seemed to be mostly high schoolers. Waiting nearly an hour for a bloody toastie is insane. management need to get their act together.

Went for a carvery,the meat portions very small.Chef was reluctant to serve food in a pleasant manner.Instead we noticed he was in a hurry to pack the left overs for ‘Too good to go’
