Cheap, tasty and super friendly

Ordered 2 meals via just eat. Only 1 meal delivered. Phoned The Dolphin to be told there's nothing they can do as they don't have their own drivers, so cannot deliver missing meal. Just re-order they say. But that means paying again for service and delivery - which was sadly lacking with first order!! Last time this happened refund from just eat never arrived - so, fingers crossed. Just paid out over £30;and got one fish supper.

Awful service from The Dolphin AND Just Eat. This is the 2nd time in just a few months our order has been missing a whole meal. On contacting The Dolphin we’re told theres “nothing we can do”. No dinner & just eat refund system isn’t fit for use!!

We both had fish and chips and they were delicious.

It didn’t even appear. Delivery driver was terrible.

No chips was supposed to be a supper !!

Did not receive a jumbo, was a single and the bag was already open.

perfect! we asked for chips to be fresh cooked and would happily wait longer for this , they accommodated this no problem and the wait time was no different, we have regularly ordered from here and are rarely let down, it's nice to order from someplace that pays attention to the wee things a customer asks for :). thank you for our lovely food

Fish and chips I took away. Fish was good, but needed good sauce to go with it. Did not order chips to go with it. Also took away pie. Pie was of good size and had more meat than expected. Worth the price.

Lovely staff Delicious Food Nice atmosphere, although I do really miss the tables and chairs they used to have set up in the back that they closed down during COVID and sadly never reopened. I really hope they will someday.

Got wrong chips as it was chips cheese and gravy but got chips cheese and curry sauce don’t like curry sauce next time get my order right

if I wanted chips I would have ordered just that, however I would of appreciated cheese on more than 4 of them at most. Also ordered a large chips and recieved a box of chicken fillets instead. shambles

Driver got lost and made me and my friend walk 10 minutes to meet him at a local park instead, we met him, got the food, walked back to the flat and by the time we opened the food it was cold, not ideal for a chip shop dinner

Fish was dry as were the chips which quickly shrivelled away to nothing. Hugely overpriced.

Quite disappointed this time, everything too greasy like it hadn't been drained long enough. White pudding batter very dark in colour but soft and chewy so think oil needs changed. All the cheese had come out mozzy sticks so were mainly hollow with fried cheese sticking out. Chips good although wrote on notes for salt & vinegar but wasn't added. Onion rings good. Delivered very quick.

Shocking portion of fish, be aswell have ordered a senior supper instead of paying £15.50 for this which is ridiculous!! Won’t be returning.

Received our chippy suppers last night, big fall out with partner and son! Missing items, black pudding, mince pie 2 x battered Marsbars and mock chop! Can you please refund asap.

Order cancelled by Just Eat after waiting an hour and a half and online chat. Order then appeared after being cancelled, 2 hours later and discarded

No notificatipn that foos would arrive so walked, purchased seperately, eat and finished. After a further 15 x minutes the food arrived, but of course no interest. I will contest any bill levied.

1DT Class service and excellent food

didn't show up at all, map sent driver to wrong address. when he called me I couldn't make out what he was saying as something was muffling his voice, I explained that to him multiple times and advised that he was sent to wrong address and that our address was further up the road..... so now I've shelled out money, for food and delivery to receive neither and can only request a refund on the items not received, rather than complain about the driver and get a refund for the whole experience

Husband Been in hospital 3days with food poisoning! Photographs of evidence and also medical records to support! Please do not use this establishment. Unless they get their act together the temps of food could kill someone.

Fish and chip shop with good food. Just trying it out is always better there than in a restaurant or pub.

Fish and chip shop for on-site dining or eating at home. This is an original fish and chip shop like there are many in the area. You have to eat here once, everything is prepared when you order and tastes as it should. Unfortunately the ships were a bit dry, so only 4 stars 🌟.

Where you walk into a chipper and have to wait 1/2 an hour for chips - something is wrong… I will carry on as it wants me to use 100 characters… Staff are rude

Place spotless ….portions fresh and large …..all served with a smile ….great menu ….its simply just one of the very best a [slightly] hidden gem …but just off the main road towards Westhill … very very popular but well worth it❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Stale chips. Not fresh and the service really bad from the old woman!! That was the worse chips I’ve ever tried. I will not return.

I was surprised to pay almost £10 for a sausage supper to get less than a normal small bag of chips and small sausages

I hate giving places bad reviews because I got my food so time and effort was put into it but honestly I didn't like the chips, the sausages and mozzarella sticks were ok but not outstanding

Their Macaroni pies are great, especially at 11pm when you're starving. Husband says it's the best chip shop around, and he's a really fussy eater.

My jumbo fish was put in the bag sideways, standing up so when I opened the box it was in pieces / mushed, also very soggy, was hardly battered. & the chips and cheese well was barely any cheese on it and were more cold than warm. So disappointing

I found this chippy by accident and will certainly go back. Food cooked as you wait so fresh and really tasty. Good banter with staff too and the wee lass behind the counter who served me was chatty and customer focussed. Well done !

Unfortunately, the portions are not the same as they were, nor is the quality the same. The fish is not big and the chips are half of what they were before. Jumbo haddock with chips was not enough even for my 10 year old son. £50 and we were hungry. Sorry but you lost a customer!

Standard chipper. I don’t know what magic they use to wrap the food but it’s still hot after a ten minute walk in the Aberdeen weather.

Delivery driver went to wrong address ,he was extremely rude shouting over the phone saying it was my fault he was at wrong address , demanding me to open door even tho he was at wrong part of town blaming me he had to use more petrol , never had this issue before not my fault he didn’t put post code in , my food is cold now

Order was scheduled for delivery approximately 70 mins after ordering but arrived a further 35 mins later...pretty poor this time

£11.40 for pie chips and gravy. The food was OK. Its just very expensive imo

I've previously left a good review for this place but it seems to have gone right down hill. 35 quid worth of soggy and completely inedible food. The only thing we salvaged was the chips and they weren't great either. Wont be back again pretty much robbery.

The delivery woman was excellent; she arrived bang on time & took care to give me the order in full. She was really pleasant & polite; top marks to her for great customer service.

have been using this service for several years now and this time was shocking delivery time over an hour, driver didn't know where it was although I stay on one of the main streets in town and most widely known street, big big sign on the windows at front of building saying what it is but still he said he was lost. Very poor and disappointing, food arrived and due to the delay in delivery it partially cold. Not good service at all.

I simply asked for extra crisp large chips, they gave me chips that were already laying in the tray, they weren't even Hot, just warm. Never again.

Called up to ask for salt and vinegar to be put on all of it. But NONE of it had any salt or vinegar. Plus it was all FREEZING when we got it. Had 2 bites then couldn’t eat anymore.

Chips were cold and looked liked and tasted like they had been reheated. Certainly not fresh.

Actually reviewing whilst waiting for our food. Both of us discussing how good the service is. We’ve had the food before so know it’s good but the male server (Saturday 24th September) is absolutely fantastic. So patient and friendly. A credit to the shop.

Best Red puddings in town! Super fresh food with a fantastic menu to choose from.

We always order the same items. Price of a Mince Pie Supper on the 8th August was £6.20. Today was £8.50!!! Poke it. Not having that! Some places are taking the p155 with their prices! I know the cost of living has increased, but the Dolphin is having a laugh! Mike’s Fish & Chips is a much more reasonable price if you need an alternative. Good bye Dolphin, we won’t be back.

Not happy as stuff missing from order

Don't trust the prices on their menu. Ordered suppers after looking at the menu. The cost was £16.00, when I went to collect and pay it had gone up to £16.90. I did query this at the time but the staff were to say the least unhelpful. I was unhappy and I will not be going back. Also the chicken was dry.

The fish I had ordered was so oily by the time I took the bag out of the just eat bag that the delivery guy was holding closed the door and food fell out from bottom of the bag due to no lining in box with fish fish was soaking in oily not happy

Food is usually pretty consistent and serves proper chippy chips 😊 last order I did have an item missing however and upon calling wasn't offered much of a solution. Though having worked in fast food I know sometimes these things happen.
