The Cross Keys in Aberdeenshire

It's a Wetherspoon's so not much else to say. Food and drink is cheap. Free refills on hot drinks is a bonus. The place could with a good clean.

Great pub for a chain. Prices excellent and chouce superb. Actually bit of a local hub so no wonder it is still open uk wide.

I briefly visited the Cross Keys on a busy Saturday afternoon. The bar was well supported by the locals. I chose a guest ale, Portobello - Market Porter, which was in great condition. The usual "Spoons" fayre was available. Worth a visit if you're in town!! It's aprox. 20 - 25 minute walk to Peterhead Football Club.

A big thank you, when travelling in our Motorhome, we always look for a Wetherspoon's on our travels, and they certainly know what the customer is looking for. Excellent choice and value for money.

Terrible service I know it's not a fancy restaurant but you still have to have some type of standard if you are serving food u wait all day to be served and the people that work there are just not nice

Typical weatherspoons all good food and drink 3 adults under £40 can't beat the prices parking was good as well for a high street 👍

Well organised with track and trace. Food and service good. Quiet and comfortable seating. A good evening had. Old Post so updated. Staff friendly and had coffee, which was good and a bargain.

We did order a large Scottish breakfast - most awful place he have tried it. Everything was overcooked and dry. My missus almost broke a teeth trying to eat so much overcooked black pudding. Potato scone same as pudding and extra - full with oil. Would not recommend.

Went for a meal here before a cinema trip. Ordered our food. 1 hour still nothing and had to leave for the cinema so asked at the bar to check what has happened and ended up with a refund. Heaps of tables not cleared and no one a clue what’s happening! Ended up late to the cinema with 2 very hungry children!

Tuesday steak night, ordered a sirloin steak gourmet one, asked for it medium, ha not a chance came out dry and more like well done to me, ordered side of chicken wings, must have been the smallest chicken in the farm, Guinness didn’t taste very nice, slight tang to it Would have complained but what’s the point it’s Wetherspoons, pay for what you get Would have given it the lowest rating but the only thing that stopped me was the staff were very pleasant and polite so that gave it an extra point Been here many times before, compared to previous not as good

Food was good, spicy meat feast pizza and side salad with a drink thrown in, just over £11, no atmosphere as it was a Tuesday night and England were playing 🤣 probably heaving at weekends though

Amazing food. We ordered steak and a massive burger. The burger was too good but the steak was a little dry, there was no sauce or veggies with it. Anyway, Wetherspoon is always great, always amazes us with great ambience, great food, quick and affordable.

This place should be closed down. Food was disgusting, Pizza not hot, burger was cremated and chips ...all 12 of them overcooked . Tables piled with glasses and plates from other diners awaiting their tables to be cleared. Staff were there, lacking smiles: At least the drinks were okay

i went in with my mum and we got served by this lovely staff member called gvidas. He was extremely professional and made sure we were having a good time. He was also very polite and kind. The best service i’ve ever had in my life, I am very pleased. Thank you Gvidas if you read this, keep up the amazing work :)

This hotel was very welcoming and authentic with a great history. Being at the border between England and Scotland it's definitely an historical landmark with a very friendly staff and a warming fire

Great service from the staff, food is always on time and atmosphere from the staff and customers is top notch, especially when workers especially like Gvidas ask if our table needs wiped down as they had the initiative to observe the conditions of the table as they were serving food.

Gividas did excellent service gave me corona pints in an above timely manner and gave us great atmosphere at the bar 10/10 would recommend

Few drinks on a Saturday evening with my fiancée,

i went for breakfast on thursday morning and the food was perfect. i had a lovely young lady called sheanna help me find exactly what i wanted and was so happy to help. made my experience so much more cheerful, then made sure we were enjoying our food and smiled everytime she went past. will be back again

Just what I wanted on a Friday night, decent priced beer and pub food. Got a good table near window. Excellent service from barstaff member Sheanna, who served us drinks and laughs!

An excellent visit to this premises, love what they have done to the coffee machines, definitely in prime location for easier access to the machines. Lauren served us, and she was extremely attentive to ensuring we had a great visit, even acknowledged we were leaving by saying goodbye, which seemed very welcoming. I recommend the pizzas for a meal, such a good variety, and extra points from us for having something to occupy the kids with at the kids corner.

Went in tonight for food and drink No clean empty tables plenty of tables vacant full of empty glasses and leftover food. Found table asked for it to be cleared after 10mins was done to a fashioned ended up finishing it ourselfs ….. ordered drinks had to ask for them after 30mins went to wrong table ordered food ordered still waiting an hour later went to wrong table Place is a shambles won’t be back again Avoid like the plague

Service wasn't the greatest staff walking past numerous times and our dirty plates still sitting. Never asked if everything OK or we wanted anything. Burger was dry and overdone

It's a wetherspoons, they are all the same, decent pub grub, alcohol is well eh alcohol.

Barmaids were weren't very nice or should i say abrupt not very good customer relations in my view

Good cheap place to eat and grab a drink. You get what you pay with at spoons but they have a lot of drinks and plenty of food to choose from. Service is usually pretty good. Minor things such as forgetting cutlery or leaving the drinks trays on your table rather than giving out the drinks but these occurances are not common. I think as it is set up as a restaurant there isn't a real pub atmosphere here. It does not feel like a restaurant, it doesn't feel like a pub. It is just something in between although you have been to any wetherspoons you will be aware of this. Table service is great especially when out with friends for an evening. All in all not a bad place to grab some grub.

I had a curry and my chicken was disgusting and the rice was so dry. My family member had a burger it was horrible and the chips were disgusting. We won't be back for food.

I come here normally quite often to have meals with my family, and it was always great, no mistakes. Recently, the past 8 visits they have been awful. Food takes too long, service isn’t great, things are raw, sometimes overcooked. This visit will probably be my last, just had the coldest burger with cheese that wasn’t melted and bun was stale, rustlers would do a much better job by just sitting in the microwave for a good solid minute and be perfect. Want to also mention that back then, last time I remember a month or two ago, the portions were great sizes, the large mixed grill especially, which was quite large. Last time I came here the “large” mixed grill was barely even half the size.

Very small portions. Fries wasn't fresh, fish very small. As a Witherspoon I expected little bit more.

You can order at the table with QR code or at the bar. Staff is friendly. ❌Tables are sticky !! And the inside of the pub needs an update. The two tables at the end are to close to the toilets to my opinion.

Tuesday night in Peterhead, so quiet and not much to report. I had a couple of pints of cider, very reasonably priced. The food did not look tremendous but we did not eat. There was no atmosphere at all.

Hadn't been before, won't be going again. Drinks were OK but food was very poor standard. One of our meals was served on a large plate and hardly covered half of the plate - Why do that? The food tastes bland and there were no sauces provided for any of the meals.

I was in Peterhead for a few days Coastal walking and I was delighted that I found a Wetherspoons there !! Had three meals there between 3pm and 5pm (the price is even cheaper then) Twice I had the fish n chips (as the first time I had them the meal was fantastic - lovely thick fillets) and the last time I had the scampi and chips - also excellent. The meals came which a pint or any other beverage either wine, spirit with a mixer or a soft drink. The value is exceptional and food wherever the Wetherspoons happens to be !! Well done for keeping the prices down to an affordable meal.

To many staff talking all the time

We had have breakfast and dinner there for two days. The food was delicious the service quick.

My friend and I didn't enjoy our meal. A sea port. And the fish wasn't up 7 to scratch. Fresh fish caught mist days and not served here. The steak was just grizzle couldn't cut it but the waitress took it back and I was presented with another. One. Which I could cut. Was very dissapointed. As if came recommended as one of the best places to eat in town

Standard cheap Spoons ,does what it says on the tin.

The food is just okay, nothing special. The bar is fine and the bulling is nice. The cleaning is a bit on the low side. But not horrendous.

Worse burger that I have got in a restaurant, it comes with bad service as well.
