Absolutely outstanding. Only a small 8 table restaurant. Nice, simple, relaxing & laid back set up. The food was exemplary. Well worth the cost. I wouldn't class it as expensive as the quality deserved the cost. Was seated for around two hours and left fully satisfied. This is well worthy of being any cities top rated restaurant.

This place is a hidden gem! We were driving by and found it by chance. The crispy chicken burger was really tasty. My kids loved the nachos and loaded fries. The food quality and taste were amazing, and the prices were very affordable. If you’re in the area, it's a must-try, and the view from the place is breathtaking.

Ate here on two occasions on me and my husband’s trip in Scotland! Once on our way to Fishnish and again when we arrived back in Lochaline. Had lunch (soup and savoury scone) and breakfast (ham and cheese sandwich, scone with jam & cream, latte) - both meals were absolutely delicious and the ingredients were high quality! The scone was still warm and fresh and so good with the jam & cream! We had the tomato soup for lunch and it was so cozy and comforting with our savoury scone! We are so glad we came back a second time. Our server was also very helpful the first time we came and helped us packed everything up quick when we realized our Ferry had arrived! Thank you Cafe LA! Hope to be back from Canada again soon!

This was our second time staying. We loved every minute of our two night stay. Everything is clean, Exceptional and the food is beyond amazing. The staff goes out of their way to make it a world class experience. We had a party of 5 over 3 rooms and we were so delighted with every single thing from breakfast to the amazing dinners and of course the staff. 10 stars would not be enough. We had to leave early on our second day and they even packed breakfast to go! It’s a magical Place and we can’t wait to return! We visited 3/16/25 from Utah USA

We are a family of five adults We have eaten in the Laruch before both in the bar and restaurant and never been disappointed. This year was still amazing. All five of us had different starters and mains and all were exceptional ! The food and service were so good we ate here twice in a week. Thanks to all the staff for such a great experience. Already looking forward to visiting again next year 😊

We had a lovely lunch here today. In particular the chicken and vegetable soup was very tasty. I enjoyed the toasted paninni with mozzarella and roast vegetables. The coleslaw with it was really nice. There's a lovely wee gallery and gift shop to browse also.

Old Pines, Spean Bridge was a charming, quiet retreat. On arrival, a pygmy goat basked in the sun on top of a picnic table, outside of the dining room. Wandering goats and geese provided comic elements. A spectacular view of Ben Nivis and the surrounding moors filled the floor to ceiling dining windows. 5 course dinners, generous Scottish breakfasts and comfy beds provided the perfect decompression from a hectic schedule. Across the lane and over the style, a walk through the moors offered surprises with wandering sheep, lively river waters and an unexpected view of an old stone viaduct destroyed in the clearance disputes. Emerging near Spean Bridge village we walked to the Commando Memorial and looped back on the moor trail to the Old Pines. A lovely, slow paced retreat.

We had: the award-winning steak and black pudding pie, scotch pie, and soup of the day. To be honest, it seems like all restaurants / food places are "award-winning". The food was decent - nothing special. The customer service was pretty sub-par - it did feel quite rushed and not smiley. However, it is a convenient place to grab a quick bite when walking around Fort William.

We had stayed at the campsite in 2017 and had a great meal in this restaurant. It’s still as good now. The restaurant part was closed but there is plenty of seating in the bar. We had a quick beer early on before parking the van at the campsite then we walked back for dinner. We didn’t need to book and everything was quite laid back which was good. We had a fish and chips and a burger, the food and the service was excellent. I tried a few of the local beers then we had a couple of local gins and thoroughly enjoyed them all.
