The Den at Inveruglas in Highland

We stopped off for a coffee mid afternoon whilst driving Loch Lomond. Views were brilliant and the coffee was good. Definitely worth a stop off.

Lovely position overlooking the Loch. Excellent food at reasonable prices with very friendly service. Highly recommended.

The ladies who were working here were absolutely lovely! Their delivery had been delayed so the cafe was closed when we arrived, but when we asked to warm up a bottle for our baby they couldn’t have been more helpful, warmed up the bottle and made us oat milk coffees which were lush! Amazing views too!!

We chatted to Lindsay who showed us good local paddle boarding spots. She was super kind and helpful, with some great recommendations. Thanks Lindsay!

On a miserable rainy day in Scotland The Den at Inveruglas gave our family of five a little ray of sunshine, the food was good and the staff Chloe and Lyndsey were amongst the nicest most friendly people we met in all of Scotland. They couldn't have been more helpful, even taking time out to take a family photograph of us at the loch shore. An Ceann Mor viewpoint here was well worth the short walk behind the café. Clean facilities, small parking charge and well worth a visit.

Called in for a coffee and cake and wasn’t disappointed. Was made very welcome, lovely coffee and mouth watering cake… reasonably priced. Definitely recommend.

Our cockapoo Treacle was made as welcome as we were by the two lovely ladies behind the counter. Brilliant cup of coffee and delicious home made tablet. Well worth a visit.

Chloe and Lindsay who served up were so friendly and helpful with directions and local knowledge. Food (especially soup) was delicious and the chocolate tablet the best I’ve ever had!

Visited the cafe twice today, Hannah and Chloe were serving both times. They were so friendly, food and coffee was amazing. Dog friendly with a wee treet for them too.

We visited The Den on our way north on a quiet Wednesday (23.03,23) morning, just after opening time. It’s on the lock side and easily missed - look for their sign and the Inferuglas country park sign on the lock side of the road. We had a very warm welcome from both girls and were soon made to feel at home. We had a good chat and the coffee was great. As we knew we were coming back south at the weekend, we said we’d be back. We returned on Sunday and the whole area was heaving! Walkers and dogs everywhere! We walked in and received the same warm welcome. As soon as I spoke Chloe came running out of the kitchen to welcome us back. Even though they were busy, there was time to ask about our holiday. By the way the coffee was just as good as last time and the gluten free brownie was very tasty. We will be back next time we go north west. Thanks for your hospitality.

After about five(ish) hours ascending and descending Ben Vorlich, my mate and I welcomed the fact that this quirky little cafe was open (it was about 14:30)! I think any Coffee would have been great after experiencing the many seasons that Inveruglas had to offer (in just one day), but these definitely deserve a mention. An Americano (mate) and Latte (me) disappeared as quickly as I had held my card against the reader! There were plenty of cakes on show, as well as cooked filled rolls (Bacon etc), but we had eaten our fair share during the climb. Friendly staff, a lovely setting and good produce - a ‘must’ should you find yourself in and about the Arrochar Alps!

Just when you need a stop and break. The Den was in the perfect place. The staff were really friendly and helpful, with lots of local knowledge. We only had a tea and cake, but thoroughly enjoyed our brief visit.

Lovely friendly people with great service. Coffee is excellent. Views are great, even when it’s dreich outside. We’ll be back next time we’re passing by

We only stopped to use the loo but were seduced by the aroma of bacon butties! The very friendly staff made us the perfect egg and bacon rolls and the americano coffee was really delicious! The setting on the edge of the Loch is wonderful and we'll definitely make sure we visit The Den again next time we visit The Highlands.

Stopped at An Ceann Mor to view the loch and found the center had a little shop with food. Quick sandwich and a drink. Pleasant find. They had a good selection of sandwiches, soups and coffee/tea and other drinks.

Lovely location as part of the visitor centre by the loch with clean toilets and ample parking. Cafe was closed as it was late afternoon, but better to bring your own picnic and look out at the boats on the loch.

This is a lovely small cafe with a stunning backdrop. Although serving a limited menu, the food is good and freshly made; the coffee excellent. During these difficult times, the staff were welcoming and helpful and the cafe clean. We revisited on our return journey....can't be a better recommendation

We stopped last week on our way up to Glencoe last week and again on our way back today! We stopped on the way back purely because the coffee was SO good, but each time the staff were so friendly and really took the time to chat to us (slightly muffled through masks however lovely none the less!!).We will definitely be making a point to pop in for a visit again! We stopped in at Inveruglas on our way to Glasgow. We initially just stopped off for photos until we found The Den tucked into the visitors centre.The menu is simple but it is all you need. Ciabattas, rolls and soup. We had two different types of soup and they were both delicious.The staff are also super friendly. Definitely stop off here if you are driving by.

Popped in for breakfast. The coffee is the best I've had in years, with the exception of a visit to Italy. The staff are wonderful-friendly, helpful and make the best bacon roll! They were making leek and potato soup when we arrived, and the smell coming from the kitchen was amazing. What a wonderful location looking across Loch Lomond and the small island not far from the shore. We shall definitely be back!

My wife and I stopped in here after arriving in Glasgow and heading north toward Skye. Although small, the place was cozy had great soup and fresh baked bread! Nice view of the Loch and very friendly service!

What a great place to go for breakfast, light lunch or a delicious coffee and tasty cake! Wonderful, friendly staff, cafe really clean and welcoming. Lovely atmosphere and great views. The Den is a must for anyone visiting the area. It has a fabulous view point within easy walking distance which shows off just how beautiful Scotland really is! Such a surprise to stop in the visitor center on such a rainy windy day and find such delicious coffees, homemade pastries, sandwiches and soups. It was so good, we took some "to go" as well. The staff was so pleasant and had such personality, that all the customers were talking and joking with each other as well as the staff. If you are driving on that section of the road North of Tarbet, stop in, you will not be disappointed.

Popped in for a coffee earlier today. Both gents behind the counter are really pleasant and polite. Nice variety of hot drinks and cakes, would definitely return. Place clean and tidy 👍

While touring the West Coast we stopped in to the brand new Den Cafe, which is under new management. Such a shame to read the negative reviews, as the new cafe is absolutely spotless, with incredibly friendly staff and lovely food. Situated right on the Loch, it has terrific views over the water, is dog friendly and has free wifi! Would definitely recommend a visit!

We had been traveling on the road from Fort William and The Den was a great find for us to see the sites and also refresh for the road ahead.

Great lunch here today. Both had soup, £3.50 for large bowl and a roll. Monty the dog was welcome in too, which was great as it was raining. The Den at Inveruglas is a great stop for lunch or one tea and cake.
