An impromptu visit vs staying at home in the kitchen! Staff very attentive and service was quick and accurate. Ordered: tomato soup of the day - very good Breaded cod and chips - fish lovely, chips were average. Haggis neeps and tatties - very good with extra sauce Apple pie with caramel and custard - OK ish On the down side our meal coincided with a large table celebrating a birthday - not conducive to a quiet dinner for two, not their fault. All in all satisfied with the experience even if a little pricey

Went in for drink as train was 20 mins later. Ordered two soft drinks and crisps for myself and daughter. Was approached, after buying items, and advised I’d have to leave if I wasn’t ordering food with a minor. At 2pm in the day. Unless there’s been a law change I’m unaware of? Station bar looks likely to loose locals if this is the case..

I visited The Lauder in Sauchihsll Street in October 2919 when it reopened after the fire that destroyed the buildings next to it we were served beautifully cooked and very tasty food. I have visited Glasgow twice since then last week ( end of February 20w9) being the most recent and it is now my choice of place to eat. The staff are great easpecially one young lady called Lynn who has been the ultimate in custoner service. Even remembering me from previous visits and ensuring that I get a table and great service. I will be back as not only is the foid well cooked and presebted it is great value for money .

My husband and I were regular customers before lockdown and when it changed hands didn't feel it was the same but now it is back to what it used to be. We have had a few meals recently and have been very impressed. Very good keep it up. Staff very friendly.

Visited with my adult daughter for a cheeky wee Friday night pint but succumbed to the gorgeous aroma of food surrounding us and decided to order. We opted to share 3 starters and a side of proper handcut chips. Chicken in tempura batter (mouthwatering), salt n chilli chicken strips and a huge bowl of topped nachos (with proper cheddar cheese!) The nachos weren't even the large portion. Everything was delicious, piping hot and very filling. The dishes were nicely presented with really tasty salad garnish. Great attentive service throughout from Alex and Amy who were totally on the ball. Duty manager John's quick witty banter added entertainment to our visit. Excellent value for money and worth every penny. Overall a great experience and we will definitely be back very soon. Highly recommended!

Stood at the entrance to be seated, table for two, told thsts ok- girl quickly walks away without explaining follow me, comes back to explain this, proceed to follow. When questioning items on the menu, server seemed uninformed and not trained. Ordered and served quickly. This place is nice enough but the staff all seem to be not trained and doing a part time summer job rather being served or greeted by someone who has worked in the industry long enough to have simple hospitality etiquette or training.

Lovely looking cafe in Glasgow's West End. I had haddock with some coleslaw, my partner had burger and chips, and we both had a mug of tea each. My haddock initially had a strange taste and I soon realised it was the tartare sauce. It was horrible! I ate what I could of the rest but the tartare sauce left a nasty taste in my mouth. That said, I had a few chips from my girlfriend's plate and they were very nice. No grease at all, and in fairness the fish wasn't greasy either. My girlfriend didn't really enjoy her burger saying that the bun didn't taste great and the Gold Star tomato ketchup wasn't great either. The lady who served us though was so welcoming and friendly and a credit to this place. She was lovely and the tip we gave was for her. The cafe is basic but equally quite stylish with exposed brickwork lit up which I liked, and the prices were OK. Please, please, please though get rid of them tartare sauce sachets. I know Gold Star tomato ketchup is what chippies in Scotland use so I can't really suggest changing. I did like the coleslaw though. Food. 6/10 Service. 10/10
