We ate dinner at the bar grill. Romeo was amazing. He provided superb service. He made us feel so comfortable. I hope to have him on my next visit.

Dinner was absolutely awful, frozen fish, hard undercooked chips. I did complain about the chips and got fresh ones but rest of meal was cold by then and chips seemed like frozen ones too. Waitress that served us was really good and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble so 5 stars to her…pity about the food

Restaurant was very busy so glad we had booked as could hear people were having to wait. My husband and I were seated up the back of the restaurant which had no atmosphere and felt very crammed and noisy. Staff took ages to serve us, ages for food to come and again to take dessert order yet there were loads of staff working and going to tables. Even when we were served the waiter was looking about as if planning where to go next so could see he was very stressed and it felt very production line like and unpersonable. Food was ok, nothing exciting but tasted ok. I had the steak which was literally, steak, chips and two tomatoes and presentation was basic. Puddings were tasty but again menu was quite standard cheesecake, sticky toffee etc. Prices were ok though so if you want straight forward, traditional hotel restaurant fayre then will hit the mark.

Clean hotel with large parking lot.Large and clean corridors.Spotless rooms and especially bed linen was fresh .At breakfast was served various and tasty meals,highly recommend my friends

Worst Sunday lunch. Firstly, plates were dirty. Secondly, aunt bessy Yorkshire puddings. Thirdly, vegetables were not the vegetables one would expect in a Sunday dinner and mushy roast potato. Furthermore, chocolate sponge and not as on menu a brownie. In addition, cheesecake was not baked as described on menu. Didn’t want to complain because the waiter was lovely. However, when they came with the bill and charged £38.50 for one meal, I had no alternative but to complain. There were no prices on the menu which is very misleading. The manager was extremely rude and arrogant and really should be sent on a customer service course. Very disappointed with our experience.

Ate here last night before a gig and cannot fault our meal in any way. Staff were really attentive and friendly and after ordering our food it came out really quickly which surprised us. Freshly cooked and so, so delicious. Nice chilled atmosphere where we felt relaxed. Sadly too stuffed for pudding but was very tempted! Will definately return here for pre-gig food in future and only a few minutes walk to SECC/OVO

2 night stay, both nights the food was really good, my experience in the restaurant was made easier by one of the staff both nights, his attentiveness wasn't just for me but others within the restaurant aswell, very good in my opinion well done for your work Alex keep up the good work 👏👏

A great 2 course roast lunch for a friend’s birthday. The food was fabulous, service exceptional and lovely atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend this menu.

Haven't been for a few years and was so disappointed and will definitely NOT be back. A couple of the young girls serving were lovely and that was about it! Other staff couldn't be bothered, service was so slow! Food was uninspiring and very basic. Withered rocket thrown on the top of stodgy pasta. Sticky toffee pudding was stone cold, put it back and came back luke warm. At least they took it off the bill. Also, cocktail menu was more of a drinks menu and bar staff not willing to make anything else. So different from TGI's at lunch time. Staff amazing, food great and cocktails off the menu no problem and they were great 🤩 Save your money!

The only reason this is not a 1 is due to the waiter as he was young but pleasant and had nothing to do with the awful food being cooked. I had the fish and chips. The other half had a salad. The fish was from either Findus or Birdseye... sort of triangular, overfried, weeping of oil, fish or I believe that's what it was, completely tasteless. The salad... handful of leaves, avocado, bit of mango, little to no wild rice.... at £18 & £14 odd... Needless to say I would not recommend this place to eat.

I’m really sorry to say service was terrible, meal was finished before we received our drinks ! Staff just looked as if they didn’t know what they were doing!!! Meal was lovely though !!

Chicken ceaser salad came as pictured...dangerously uncooked. Took it back to the manager no apology. Took 45 mins for it to come back out...again no apology and it wasn't a fresh dish, it had been chucked in the deep fat fryer. I emailed a complaint and crowne plaza said there was nothing they could do as it is a franchise but they would email the hotel and get back to me. Over a month no reply and no apology. Save yourself money and a possible trip to hospital..eat elsewhere.

I booked and reserved a booth for me and my son as my son is autistic and he runs everywhere so had to have somewhere where he couldn't escape and run around the restaurant. Dinner was amazing, service was amazing. The staff were running around doing a great job. After the food my son wanted to go for walks so had to leave and restaurant was getting busy so wanted to free up the booth. My son and I moved over the to the bar area where they were more than nice and polite but then my son wanted to run in and out and around the bar area while we were waiting for a lift and no one said a thing which I am very appreciative about.

Ordered room Service as hotel too busy and didn't make a reservation ..food good and didn't have to wait too long ..thanks to khuram for helping us with our order before we went back to room .

We had dinner with our friend at the Mariner Restaurant while we were staying at the Crowne Plaza, Glasgow. The weather turned out wild that night so we decided to meet in the lobby instead and have dinner at the restaurant. We had a pleasant time altogether. We ordered some of their food from the menu (haggis and calamari for the appetiser, pasta, and pizza) which was too much for the three of us. The servings are bit much than expected. It was good though, we ended up taking away the pizza and giving it to our friend to bring home to his son. Although it's a bit pricey. The food was great and the staff are friendly. We stayed for more than 2 hours. The restaurant wasn't busy that night. We tried to book dinner the following night but because there was a conference going on, the place was fully booked. For breakfast, it was also pleasant. We love hot cooked breakfast so we enjoyed it. Not so many selections as compared to other hotels we've been to but good enough for us.

While the staff were very good and the meal was well cooked and presented, the actual steak and lamb were very poor quality. Even with a steak knife the meat was very tough and difficult to cut and eat. The lamb was similar. Even though location is convenient for events, we will not be back.

Spent a lovely couple of hours in the Mariner Restaurant having afternoon tea as part of a deal. We were so well looked after by all the staff. Everything from the sandwich selection, the scones, the cakes right down to the raspberry in the Prosecco was excellent. We will be back. Thank you so much, each and everyone.

Nice hotel and spacious bedrooms, but please train you bar staff to serve people, as we found them not serving but standing around. Breakfast is amazing with excellent choice.

Disappointed to find that there was no carvery buffet available for dinner, (as there has been pre-covid on previous visits) and the a la carte menu we were given had a very limited choice. Reading some of the reviews on here, it seems the buffet was available in March and again in May, but not in April!! We had assumed they had not restarted buffet since the pandemic but clearly they had on occasion! Our drinks order was taken practically before we had chance to sit down and draw breath. However we had eaten our starters, and were half way through the main course before our drinks arrived, and then they were wrong! Credit to our waitress, it was her that had chased them up, and her that had to sort out the inaccuracy of the order. And I am still waiting on the glass of water I requested. We had bruschetta as a starter, and as there was no mention on the menu of peppers in it, it was disappointing to find quite a large portion of the topping was made up of peppers. It was the strangest bruschetta I have had , and since my husband is allergic to peppers, he was not delighted to find them in this dish. (I have looked again at the menu and it now mentions the roasted peppers) Our main courses were very nice. My husband had butterfly breast of chicken, and I had a pasta dish with chicken. Unfortunately (because our experience was not a good one) we had already booked the restaurant for the following night when we were to be joined by two friends to eat before the show for which we were in town. I felt it was too late to try and find somewhere else to eat, though I wish I had made the effort because sadly the experience on the second night was even worse! We decided to miss the starters, and instead treat ourselves to dessert. I had the salmon, my friend had the fish and chips, her husband had the burger, whilst my husband opted again for the butterfly chicken, asking for a larger portion of coleslaw. Although we had asked for (and received) a jug of water again it took forever for the drinks order to arrive. And again it was wrong! How when white wine is ordered it becomes red, is unfathomable. The salmon and fish were delicious (although the beans on which the salmon was sitting were swimming in oil! The butterfly chicken was half the size of the portion the night before and at around £17 a portion this is unacceptable. However the burger was truly disgusting. I am not a fan of cheese, but even a cheese lover would have been put off at the sight of this cheese smothered burger - it was a truly horrendous sight, and I am assured it tasted as bad as it looked. We decided to pass on desserts, we felt we had suffered long enough! And since the service was slow, we did not want to risk being late to our show. Fortunately the breakfast on both mornings was satisfactory. A delicious buffet and plenty of it.

My husband and I recently stayed in the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow. It was for my husbands birthday. This hotel never fails to disappoint. The service from start to finish is exemplary. We had a suite which was sparkling clean and well appointed with amazing views up the River Clyde. Everything you need is catered for. The bed was comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. We had dinner in the Mariner restaurant. The food was excellent and swift service despite the fact that the restaurant was really busy. If you are looking to stay in Glasgow I would recommend the Crowne Plaza wholeheartedly.

We loved our stay! Breakfast was amazing with so much choice! Comfy bed with wellkept rooms. Reception made a fuss of us as my friend was the guest of the day. They also provided a toothbrush for us when one of our party forgot theirs!! Drinks were lovely. We have booked again for another overnight in the future

Pre booked the restaurant for 5pm we were greeted with friendly staff who showed us to our table and arrived with a set menu. I asked for the Al a carte menu and was told it was not available. The reason being a concert was on in the armadillo next door (that we were attending)and it would be to much work to get everyone served in time. Well that was fine but I think this should be told to you when you book. I personally don't like being told what I can eat when I'm paying for it so I had the prawn and crayfish cocktail which was very nice but I'm still looking for the crayfish! My main was chicken fillet with macaroni cheese and a salad that was lovely and very tasty. My wife had soup of the day followed by a burger and chips which she enjoyed but still doesn't make up for having your own choice. We used the hotel car park while attending the concert and you were fully undercover all the way from the car park and straight into the reception. After dinner you can use the lift to the mezzanine level and that leads you rite into the armadillo itself fantastic for someone like myself who has trouble walking. We would without doubt use the hotel again.

Stayed one night bed and breakfast at Crown Plaza Hotel Glasgow,Rooms large and airy with fridge and tea and coffee making facilities and very large king size bed. Breakfast in the morning was excellent with anything you could think of on the excellent buffet and cooked to perfection

Spent the night there after a concert. We were invited to complete a form guaranteeing us a table ready and set up with our drinks order on return from the concert. My wife filled it in, paid for the drinks and left the form with them.

It’s a nice touch having a club lounge. This one is quite small with a lot of furniture and paper cups for the coffee machine! However, the views are stunning and staff lovely.

Great selection of food ranging from avocado on toast, turkey roast with potatoes and veg, soup and eggs made to order and lots of sweet treats. Salad was also amazing with caesar salad and a superfood salad also.

As soon as we walked into the hotel the staff where friendly and welcoming and made us feel at ease .the restaurant has a nice view onto the Clyde and the sevice and food was excellent .we will definitely eat here again

My husband, grandson and I stayed at this hotel on Sat 10th Aug and although there was a few faults we all enjoyed our stay.

Just wanted to write a quick review to say what a lovely time we had during our stay. We had paid extra to be upgraded to executive rooms on a high floor and this was all sorted out by Thomaz when we telephoned the Hotel. On arrival there was a mix up over wine we had requested but was eventually sorted out by calling Guest Services from our room who apologised for the inconvenience and sorted it out for us immediately. The next day we were asked about this mix up from a Staff Member (Elaine?) she was so helpful and friendly during our stay and a very valued member of your team.

El personal es extremadamente servicial y educado, además el desayuno es fantástico, ya que tiene un poco de Escocia mezclado. . . es decir, bollo frito tattie, haggis y salchicha cuadrada. Vista desde mi habitación 804 miraba hacia el río Clyde. La única razón por la que no le he dado al hotel 5 estrellas es que después de regresar del trabajo, el agua caliente estaba tibia. Aparte de eso, todavía recomendaría este hotel.

Stayed at this hotel several times. My husband booked this as a surprise for my birthday as he was taking me to see PINK in concert. He had booked 2 rooms as We had friends coming to. When we booked in, they said one of the rooms was not ready yet so she would give us the 1st key. About an hour later when we went to check in the 2 nd room they told us there was no room on the same floor as ours (14th) and ours friends were out on the 6th floor. We did say we were not happy with this and the lady walked away from us. We needed up speaking to a nice man who tried to rectify but he said he didn’t have 2 rooms together.

My husband and I stayed here as we were attending a concert in Kelvingrove Park.

We had a table of 6 for a celebration 80th lunch last Sunday. The starters, if you didn"t want salad, were mini breakfasts, ( tapas style ) . The mains were either Sunday Roast, i.e. Turkey slices , or mini quiches and tomato pasta. The only potatoes were hard roast, or hard mixed veg. This was a very strange choice for a buffet lunch, and my guests were not impressed at all. I have eaten here many times before, as The Moat House , and was very disappointed to see standards fall , under The Crown Plaza.

What a delight. From free parking with sign in, to easy going waiting staff and beautiful fresh food , a lovely .experience. The afternoon started with a really nice atmosphere set by the desk staff. Next the maitre de took us to our table but unfortunately did not really explain how things worked. Thankfully we fully understood how serve yourself worked. We (me, hubby, adult daughter and son) enjoyed plenty of salmon with scrambled eggs, fresh salad, succulent beef, fresh veg, gravy, beautiful pancakes and waffles with syrup and cream. . . . .for starters!!!!!

Dinner at hotel restaurant even with friendly staff takes a long time even when restaurant is almost empty. Why? Nobody knows, food however is correct. Large assortment of good whiskey but this is not surprisingly in Scotland. Excellent situation for sightseeing of city and close enough by station for further exploring.

What an amazing overnight to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We arrived a little after 3pm to a prompt and professional check in. The hotel had pre booked us a dinner reservation incase the restaurant was busy and had a complementary bottle of prosecco from our package sent to our room on ice for us. The room and views were gorgeous.

Nice meal but took 2 hours to serve 3 course meal. What was served was very good but to slow with the service.

We were greeted with kindness. Very helpful staff that were very helpful. Despite concerts at the Hydro our room never heard the crowds of folks. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a wide variety of foods. All fresh and some thing for everyone’s taste. I loved the coffee machine.

The location of the hotel is superb, it does have car parking but it isn’t secure, the footpath at the side of the river runs right down the side of it. The rooms are a decent size but could do with some work to make them tidier , the taps for the bath:shower were very loose, the chain for the door lock was hanging off, I would stay again but certainly get a room with a double bed and not a single my fault. ** room service was ok the chips were decent the pizza seemed to be a little long in the tooth

This is the main restaurant at the Crowne Plaza hotel. You have the option of buffet menu or a la carte. We chose the latter and our meal was good without being exceptional. It is not the type of restaurant you would go on a night out unless you were staying at the hotel.

Good stay while exhibiting at SEC Centre. Connected walkway is good if raining. Nice hotel and tidy room for overnight stay

Habíamos reservado este hotel porque estaba cerca de la sala de conciertos The Hydro. Perfecto para este tipo de viajes. El hotel era bueno, un bar agradable, almuerzos en el bar de descenso, no probé el restaurante. Las habitaciones eran de buen tamaño, estaban limpias cuando llegamos, pero al día siguiente no pasamos mucho tiempo en la limpieza. El piso del baño no se había limpiado y las superficies no se habían limpiado, la cama se había hecho apresuradamente. Un poco decepcionado cuando regresamos del concierto, no pudimos llegar a ninguna parte cerca del bar y ¡había una cola para los ascensores! ¡Estaba muy ocupado pero podría haber estado mejor organizado! Pero el personal que tenemos en la red fue amable y servicial.

Hermoso hotel, el ambiente era genial, estuvimos allí para comer y beber antes del show country 2 country. . . el personal estaba tan ocupado, que esperábamos un rato para nuestra comida, el caballero australiano (gerente) lo resolvió de inmediato. Esto fue absolutamente sin culpa del personal simplemente extremadamente ocupado. . . . Y una oferta fantástica cuando tienes comida y aparcas el coche. . Usamos este hotel y lo recomendamos todo el tiempo.

We stayed overnight for my friends wedding - we got a complimentary early check in which was fab! The hotel is lovely, fair pricing and food was delicious. Bar is fairly priced and the breakfast was great.

My husband booked this hotel as we were going to see Ozzy Osbourne at the SECC. However the concert was cancelled so we decided to go to the hotel anyway. We both loved this hotel. The staff were really friendly, the rooms were lovely and as we were in a Club room we had full use of the Club Lounge. This additional cost was well worth the money. We also used the gym and had a meal in the restaurant in the evening. The gym was very well equipped and very clean. The restaurant food was excellent. We will definitely be back at this lovely hotel. ❤️

Entrance by front reception magic ambience & atmosphere we attended a Boxing Night in the conference suite the meal was fantastic from starter to dessert & timely ...... delivered with great service & a knockout smile ..... Great parking with ease & easily accessible ...... a great Hotel for a large party or corporate functions ...,,

Booked 5pm deal for Sunday brunch for four adults and three kids. Thoroughly impressed with the food and the service. Lots of options including eggs and waffles cooked to order as well as buffet style cooked breakfast and/or Sunday roast. Kids loved the dessert station and board games and the live music was a nice touch. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. We didn't use the leisure facilities (this was included with the deal) but even without this we felt it was great value and would absolutely recommend.

So attended Saturday night before boyzone Waited over an hour for dinner Tables full of left food Piled up plates and food on bars, serving areas, People complaining food was cold. Slow service at bar. Will never ever return Disgusting

esta es una muy buena ubicación si va al centro de conferencias en SEC. El tamaño de la habitación está bien para un viaje de negocios. Como el exterior es bastante frío, el centro de conferencias tarda menos de 3 minutos. También <10 minutos hasta el carril.

I have stayed and socially mixed at this hotel for years as I am a entertainer working next door at the Armadillo,so you can imagine my disbelief when on the 27 th of December we came out of the theatre with our friends and fellow actors to meet relatives and guests in the bar ,to be told the bar was closed at 9.30pm and had closed boxing night at 9 pm what kind of 4 star hotel closes their bar when a 3000 seat venue comes out at 9.15 pm . My family were actually staying there as was our director. On a separate night we joined them for a buffet meal in the main restaurant, the food was tiered and veg look warm meats had dried up ,this also was true of breakfast, not good enough for a Crown Plaza

Stunning hotel. Level access although drive is in need of resurfacing. Lobby and dining area all looked fabulous. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and presented well. What let this hotel down was the little things. Pubic hairs in the bath; dressing gowns that have been washed so often they were rough towel material; mattress was like lying on a rock; baby changing facilities were closed at 5pm and looked like they had been shut for a while as a banner was blocking the door. There was a buffet dinner which tasted lovely but no variety for puddings so we specifically asked for desert from the main memu. My brownie was seriously dry and although presentation was stunning it was a big let down. In the morning staff showing us to our table were in a panic as could not find our room number due to accent perhaps being as issue - my husband is from uddingston lol. So it is worth a visit however if they just amended the simple things this place would be amazing to stay.

We arrived early 30min early and thought we could grab a drink 20 mins waiting at the bar to be told they don't have bottles of prosecco behind the bar they have to go get them from somewhere else in the building. Glasses of wine were being served in beer glasses. The food was awful just awful... watered down soup was disgusting, cold chicken with frozen veggies that were uncooked... both a roast potato to be seen.

The rooms where great staff brilliant very helpful as where the bar staff the food was good as was the breakfast and 2 min walk the the hydro for the gig the six of us agree it was well worth it.

Had a fantastic stay! Location was perfect as we were seeing a show at Hydro. Staff were exceptionally friendly. Room was warm and clean with great views. Best breakfast buffet - hot food, presented well that tasted good. Will definitely return

The hotels location is great, walking distance to all city sights. The bed is comfortable, very helpful staff, great breakfast buffet, the bar by the lobby is great too.

Comfortable room but hotel very busy staff were run off there feet with queues at the bar even though the prices were quite high

Popped in for a meal though not staying here.. Usual good standard of food. Friendly and helpful staff. Really cannot add anymore as I was only here for about an hour. I did enjoy .my meal however, and would recommend.

Hot table food dry and hard, veggies past their best and the worst "cheesecake" Ive ever had- Yuck. Never again.

Great expectations,sadly not met. Had booked afternoon tea for 4 with itison vouchers.

On a quick business trip - opted for a la carte - sirloin steak and fries - around £28 - rump not available and glass of their house Chilian Merlot. Also asked for some iced water and english mustard with the meal Wine came straight away and was very good. Food soon after. Good presentation, but the meat was a poor cut, 50% gristle not what you would expect, cooked well for me. Water and english mustard came halfway through the meal.

So this week I was back up in Glasgow for work but because we had the boss with us we got to go up there and be posh whoop whoop. So on first impressions it has a great looking bar and the staff were very friendly. And as soon as I was checked in I was in it and ordering a beer. As with every bar in Glasgow the token pint of Tenants was ordered (never really understood it as it tastes awful). Then it was up to the room to get ready and get on it with the lads. Room was stunning with a huge bed and possibly the best view in the hotel. It was a view of the Glasgow arena which I took great pleasure in taking a picture of and sending it to my 11 year old daughter and saying I accidentally got in the wrong plane and woke up in Australia.

I wasn't here for long, just one night, and I didn't eat at the restaurant (We opted for Indian Quay a few blocks away), but the bed was comfy, the internet signal strong, the shower hot, and the location next to the Hydro, great.

Flounces around the place like everything is a little too much. I asked for a bottle of sparkling water and he gave me a bottle of still water. We asked him to change it and I got the flappy arm Kevin routine ?

We did not order a la carte, as the waiter said it would be a long wait! We opted for dine- in for 2 for £39.99. with a free small glass of wine. The starter was soup of squid, both of which were awful. We really can't describe the food - mostly stews stuff swimming in onions . Some of the labels were missing, so it was difficult to see what was what.

Lovely hotel.on the banks of the river clyde.close to shopping.the science museum.the SSE arena.staff are very friendly.im impressed with the breakfast.as there is gluten-free bread readily available.with a toaster just for gluten-free bread.also a good gluten-free and vegetarian menu.the swimming pool has a steam room and a sauna.if you need anything you just need to ask

A very beautiful hotel, stunning foyer leading to the restaurant. Unfortunately only stayed one night, great bathroom, lovely towels. The breakfast had lots of choice a great start to our travel day.

They actually do quite a nice burger and chips. But as so often with this busy hotel the service can be a let down. So I had a very nice burger and chips that were lukewarm verging on tepid. But they were good chips and burger and would have been great if they hadn't, I suspect, been sitting around for about 5-10 minutes waiting to be picked up from the kitchen. Bar menu is available until 11pm (I think), which is pretty good in this town.

Visited the hotel with 2 friends for a spa day.... treatments were great as was lunch however there is no doubt that the spa is very basic and the changing facilities are well under the standard of the rest of the hotel. The showers and 1 toilet ( with broken seat ) are on par with the public baths and not nice to use. The hotel must upgrade these to get anywhere near as nice as the competition in surrounding hotels.

Overall very good helpful staff good food Only minus points doors slammed shut rather than closing quietly and the TVs had very limited channels several of those having no signal Great views from the room

Had the buffet meal at early evening , bit bland am afraid to say and not worth the price but in total contrast the buffet breakfast was really good and provided everything you could want .

Gran ubicación, habitación y vistas. Me alojé por 3 noches y me quedé impresionado con la estancia en general. El check in fue fácil, la habitación excelente, el restaurante muy bueno, incluso el buffet de la noche (excepto el primer plato, que no atraerá en absoluto), el personal es amable, educado y se las arregló bien a pesar de tener un partido en autobús. El gimnasio era un agradable refugio, así como la opción de rutas locales de footing.

Mi madre y yo nos alojamos una noche después de un concierto en el Hydro en la habitación 619.

Con el Crown Plaza de estar cerca de la SSE Hydro, decidimos head en ella para un paseo de sentarse, beber y comer antes de un concierto. El personal era muy agradable y educado, sirve muy bien. Siendo este un hotel reconocido los precios de el pescado y las patatas fritas que teníamos eran 13 libras. 95 que espera pero que no necesitan de un plato con pad de hojas verdes, sólo unos pocos más patatas o guisantes. Era justo lo suficiente para comer y sin una queja

If you want a bad experience or very poor service have a visit. The management are nothing short of abuse and the delivery of food is exceptionally slow causing us to be very late for the show.
