The best restaurants serving British food in Edinburgh and Lothian

He estado aquí unas cuantas veces y aún el servicio podría ser mejor. Hay un montón de aparcamiento gratuito exterior. Zona de bar tiene TV y plenry asientos. El restaurante tiene un invernadero. El personal es amable, pero necesitan ser más profesionales. El menú es variado y se pueden conseguir medias raciones. Los precios son promedio. Podrían mejorar y creo que traer más clientes.

We ate here before the Lion King with the VIP Ambassador Lounge deal and it was all very good . I had read some of the negative reviews and was a bit wary after booking but it was a really nice experience. The food was fine , we had chicken skewers and soup and burgers and there was no complaints , but the service was excellent . The girls who served us were efficient and very friendly. They took us up to the lounge and again we had friendly service . All made for a great night , well done

Este restaurante tiene una extraña sensación de 1980 a la decoración y reproduce una "música" de fondo muy molesta para que coincida. Sin embargo, pasé de esto y pedí una bebida y opté por una pizza de tres carnes. Puedo decir que esta fue la peor pizza que he comido. No había nada de malo en él, pero la base era demasiado gruesa y pastosa y las cubiertas insípidas. He tomado mejores pizzas congeladas de Asda. Lo único positivo fue el personal muy amable y diligente, que merece servir mejor comida que esto.

Went with family to have a nice breakfast but were all utterly disappointed. Very small selection of breakfast items and all potions were far too small. I ordered full Scottish breakfast but left feeling hungry after spending over £1, sausages both meat and vegan were very nasty in their taste and all items were below average for an premium price - never again.

Hermosa tarde fabulosa con sándwiches deliciosos y frescos, bollos pasteles con un montón de té o café acabada con una copa fuera de Prosecco. El personal cálido y acogedor agradable. Recomiendo encarecidamente este encantador salón de té. Sin duda volveremos. Una pequeña joya

No puedo explicar lo asquerosa que era la comida - pedí patatas fritas de salchicha y salsa - que costaba casi £ 10 y había algo realmente malo con la salchicha y la salsa. Tenía el sabor más horrible.

Llamamos para almorzar y quedamos muy gratamente sorprendidos por el extenso menú. Personal muy agradable! ! ¡Gracias chicos! !

Pizza was burnt and thats all you could taste. Curry sauce was very watery and tasteless.

This is the first bad review I have ever written. The people are lovely but the somebody has redesigned the service system. It is the worst and most inefficient system I have ever seen. You will wait a v long time to get served. Somebody should take responsibility for this disaster.

Ihorrible experience. As i am reading more comments . visited on 30th march . Between ،3pm to 4:30pm. We stood and waited in queue behind a lovely couple for 5 mins. But very rude women behind till started serving other person and their was no sign saying where should the queue start from. After we told her sorry we were standing here for so long she rolled her eyes and started serving other people. Extremely racist to others and us is well. People go to cafe for their coffees and good time not to see some old women having mid life crisis and meltdown.

After reading lovely reviews about the afternoon tea served at The Glasshouse, I booked the 'Scottish Afternoon Tea' for 2 as a treat for my daughter-in-law's 30th birthday for her and my son. As I was in Edinburgh the week before, I called in and paid for this in advance. Unfortunately, on the day, my daughter-in-law who was 32 weeks pregnant, was unwell and unable to travel to Edinburgh, so the booking had to be cancelled. I emailed the duty manager on 2 occasions to ask if a refund would be possible. If I hadn't prepaid there wouldn't have been an issue about a refund and the hotel would have simply had to acknowledged the cancellation, which I'm sure happens from time to time. I had an initial response from the duty manager saying he/she would look into it but on sending a second email a week later, I have yet to have either a response or a refund. I appreciate last minute cancellations must be annoying and costly for hotels but sometimes they are completely unavoidable. Top tip - don't pre-pay for services unless you have to!

Good location, below art gallery, bordering princes street gardens. good staff, good food. Second visit. Will return.

If you like the Munsters home cooking fill your boots...One tenatative bite of my bacon and egg doubler and it was crowfood.Al Lewis the delivery driver with the fag hanging out his mouth.Yvonne De Carlo well the hair was black but the face looked like it had melted in the sun.Fred Gwynne the fast order chef.There was no friendly attitude and the greasy smell hung in my clothes until i got home and washed them.Food was inedible steer clear.
