We had a so very good breakfast in this restaurant that we decide to come back twice. I tasted also the sweet porridge and it was ok. The full breakfast not too greasy as we like, black pudding very well cooked.

Went in to get change for the parking meter outside so place chewing gum on the counter and mentioned I was looking for change he said no I don't have change. So I said even if I'm buying something. He still said no. At this point he was getting annoyed, so I left. But hang on it doesn't end there, I made the mistake of pushing the door rather than pulling and the door got stuck. Oh my god he went nuts started swearing and saying people in the UK don't open doors properly. Myself and another customer could not believe how rude he was being. So I said he should label the doors "push or pull" like the rest. At that point he got the door open and told me to leave. I took it upon myself to recommend the two waiting customers to go else where. Who know how he would have treated them. I'm guessing this has happened many times and he took it out on me. But seriously "GET THE DOOR FIXED" He should not be dealing with customers if he can't control his temper.

Went here for brunch and ordered a veg breakfast and a veg burger. The breakfast portion was tiny, the plate was very small. The burger was cold on the inside and just filled with freezing salad. The tea was very weak even after leaving the teabag in till the end of our food. At over £12 spent, I definitely wouldn't return

I was the only person who rolled up to Cafe Plus that rainy afternoon. Maybe, everyone else was supping coffees in nearby Starbucks, but this place caught my eye and I walked in. It reminded this grizzled former London hack of some of the greasy spoons I'd eaten in back in the Big Smoke. But less greasy. Too healthy. Nevertheless, I ordered a tuna panini at the counter which came with chips and a large coffee. I sat down at the table and looked back at myself. The cafe walls are entirely mirrored. I noticed fewer grey hairs or was it just less hair? Anyway, the food came and it was ok but the coffee was good. It was strong. I was on the job though and I had to wolf it down.

Booked for lunch declared ,shellfish allergy, was told. That they could not guarantee cross contamination asked how serious the allergy was ,I have an episode pen. Was told that someone should have contacted me about it ,they did not, waste of a journey and paying for parking. Will not be back. If you have any allergies avoid this place.

I almost never leave reviews, but I felt I had to because I felt so ripped off here. I'm a local and had time to kill before work so I popped in for lunch. The staff were friendly and the service was quick, but I got the smallest piece of avocado toast I've ever seen for a tenner. I'm still hungry. I sort of knew it would be a mistake to go somewhere touristy but now I know I definitely won't be back. There are nicer places on Cockburn Street, never mind the rest of the Old Town.

Went with family to have a nice breakfast but were all utterly disappointed. Very small selection of breakfast items and all potions were far too small. I ordered full Scottish breakfast but left feeling hungry after spending over £1, sausages both meat and vegan were very nasty in their taste and all items were below average for an premium price - never again.

We ate here before the Lion King with the VIP Ambassador Lounge deal and it was all very good . I had read some of the negative reviews and was a bit wary after booking but it was a really nice experience. The food was fine , we had chicken skewers and soup and burgers and there was no complaints , but the service was excellent . The girls who served us were efficient and very friendly. They took us up to the lounge and again we had friendly service . All made for a great night , well done
