Nice place for the food and drinks. We enjoyed the local beer. The staff were very friendly. The Christmas decorations were also great!

Fantastic lunch the haggis balls and whisky sauce followed by steak pie magnificent and super friendly staff.

La única mesa disponible estaba en el bar, el personal no era acogedor, nadie sonrió y eran muy gruñones. Tuve que pedir en el bar, aunque el mismo menú como restaurante donde hay personal esperando para tomar el orden. Muy caro para un almuerzo en el bar, es decir, 13 libras. 99 para un sándwich, y definitivamente no es una buena relación calidad-precio.

¡Qué desastre es la organización de este café! Fui allí a almorzar para reunirme con amigos que solían dirigir be&Bs, así que saben una o dos cosas sobre cocinar y servir comida. Todos acordamos que necesitaba una buena revisión. Al parecer, sólo había cuatro funcionarios que trabajaban para atender más de 100 coberturas. Uno trabajando en la cocina, uno limpiando mesas y dos sirviendo comida; de hecho, uno sirviendo comida y bebidas y otro tomando el pago. Tardaron más de media hora en servir y en las dos horas que estuvimos allí la cola no disminuyó. Algunas personas solo querían una bebida caliente y un pastel, pero tenían que esperar junto a las personas que querían una comida. Se necesitan al menos dos miembros más del personal, uno que sirva comida, otro que prepare bebidas y otro que sirva sopa, tal vez mientras que el número cuatro podría recibir el pago. Las mesas de limpieza de las niñas no tenían modales ni idea de que había que mover las cosas de la mesa para darle una limpieza a la mesa, no se usó aerosol y cuán limpio estaba el paño sigue siendo un misterio. Spent a lovely couple of hours in this delightful traditional pub. We visited midweek when there was a bogof offer on pizza which was superb. Highly recommend a visit!

Very beautiful place, with a magnificent “Oyster Bar” restaurant room (decorated ceilings, stained glass windows, woodwork) and very warm. The food is excellent, fresh and local produce, very well prepared Scottish specialties. The only downside was the service, a little slow and disjointed: placed at a table behind the bar, we were a little forgotten.

Spectacular place located in an old bank with an impressive atmosphere and a great selection of good beers. Plus it eats wonderfully. a must see in edinburgh

The place is good, the staff is great. The owner charged us 3 pounds for a chocolate bar, which they put with the coffee, without asking. When you order a coffee and they give you the complimentary cookie, know that there is no courtesy, they charge you for it.

Bedsheets and towels with stains, hair on the tiles—all this for 130 euros per night. If you want to check in earlier, you have to pay extra, but that's okay, they have their policy of check-in at 3:00 PM to have time for cleaning... and you can really see how well they do it!

Soy un gran fan del Blackbird y he estado yendo durante muchos años. Cuando entré a cenar recientemente me decepcionó que me dieran un menú con sándwiches y lados como únicas opciones. Pan de parada de puerta con relleno mínimo envuelto en papel a prueba de grasa y unas pequeñas patatas fritas no es mi idea de una comida fuera. El ambiente y el personal hacen que el lugar no estropeó nuestra noche, pero por favor reconsidere sus elecciones en el menú para lo que cobra como precio de la comida principal.

I went here for my first time clubbing and it was the best I could've asked for, people were really friendly as I was worried I would've gotten touched alot (like on the back n stuff no horrid groping) but I didn't! I'm autistic and I thought I would hate it but they play straight bangers, I went there for my third time, this time there was a drag show! And I did a lip sync off and lost (rightfully so I have never heard wicked in my life) but I didn't feel bad about it whatsoever. ccblooms was such a nice genuine experience and I'm GOIN AGAIN BAYBEE!!

Monboddo is a good go-to restaurant while staying at the Doubtree Hilton in Edinburgh. Although I would not have chosen to dine there as many times if I weren't a hotel guest. Location and availability were a great convenience while traveling. The breakfast buffet is extensive, offering the main staples of a hearty Scottish breakfast. I highly encourage patrons to order off the special menu for fresh eggs made to order. The extra few minutes are worth the wait. Dinner there on my first night was good, but nothing extraordinary. The service was pleasant and welcoming. The atmosphere and decor are higher end. In minor detail, there is no place to keep your handbag if you are seated in the central dining area other than your lap or the floor. The round back chairs are not accommodating, so ask for a side booth. The side bar area close by is a very nice area to stay if you are waiting for a table. Overall, it was a fine place to dine during my stay in Scotland.

The staff were great. Charming spot. I will be coming back again. Really great atmosphere.

The pub was well designed and loved the Frankenstein coming down from the ceiling. The drinks were delicious but for a gothic pub we found that the music was awful. It was the type of music you'd expect to hear being played at a club for people in their late teens early twenties. Not the music you'd expect in a gothic pub
