The Tron in Edinburgh, City of

I recently visited the tron for a quick meal after putting down a deposit on my next tattoo, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and approachable, making me feel right at home. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the food. I opted for the 5 small bites for £22, and every single one was absolutely delicious! The flavors were vibrant, and the presentation was lovely. Each bite was a joy to savor, and I left feeling thoroughly satisfied. I was also pleasantly surprised to discover that they offer a blue light discount, which is a fantastic way to support those in our community. Overall the tron provided an excellent dining experience, and I can't wait to return for more tasty bites. Highly recommended!

Great pub and, most importantly, incredible staff! We were served by Geordie and he was really nice, showed to be a really fun guy with a great vibe and love doing his job. For sure would recommend going to this pub!!

Was at the Tron on Wednesday night and was served by a bright and bubbly woman called Lauren who I believe was a member of management as the other staff took great direction from her. The drinks were quick to get to me and the vibe was great. They had on karaoke from 9pm which I’m not a fan of; however it drew in a great crowd of all ages from all walks of life. When not serving, the staff were ensuring tables were clear and glasses washed etc- they even found time to film some things for their social media pages which I encourage everyone to follow. All in I’d say this is a fab bar in the middle of the capital and everyone should pay a visit 5*

As a fellow Tron, I’m impressed.

We went to Trone to grab some lunch. The venue is in the basement of a building in the center of Edinburgh's Royal Mile area. The environment was "cool enough" for a place to eat, the entrance door at street level was not closed and really cold air was coming down, we were very close to "0" outdoors. The girl who took our order was very kind and in a few minutes we were able to eat our burgers (chicken) and very good sausages (vegetable). The menu is quite varied and the prices are more than good. We ate with gusto and sufficiency. In 3, 52 Pounds. At the end of lunch the place was very full but the atmosphere remained cold.

Very friendly bar staff, helped with charging my mobile so I could get home.

Stumbled across this place by accident when through to Edinburgh shopping with my girlfriends.What can I say.Great selection of food at very reasonable prices.I had the steak pie and one of my girlfriends had the curry the other one the fish and chips.All beautifully cooked and the service was great.Considering it's just off the Royal Mile,food and drink prices were amazingly good. We loved it so much it's now our go to place when in Edinburgh. Going to make a day and night of it and bringing our partners with us.They will love the excellent choice of craft beers and the fact that they have a sports bar downstairs where they show the latest football games and darts,rugby,formula one,boxing you name it they show it.And for us ladies it's Karaoke time with a few cocktails thrown in Great staff ,great food,great atmosphere, great entertainment, great selection of drinks and craft beers all at very reasonable prices. In the words of the immortal bard. We'll be back

Popped in for a bite to eat while in Edinburgh it was reasonably priced considering it's location. Food was good and staff all pleasant and helpful. Will certainly return on my next visit to the city

Stumbled across this place and so glad we did. Was in a pub on The Royal Mile and getting ripped off. Googled for other places to eat and saw this place just across the road. Nearly never went in as it looked closed. But saw somebody in so in we went. Great wee pub. And a fraction of the price of Royal Mile pubs. I had the fish finger sub. Nice freshly cooked fish. My sister had the doner wrap which she loved and brother in law had fish and chips which was a big portion. The lass behind the bar was also great and very helpful. Will def be back if ever in Edinburgh. Just needs to be maybe a bit brighter as we heard another customer mention they thought it was closed

The staff were very helpful. Food was a bit of a miss although only had the nachos which were cold chips and a few toppings. Atmosphere was good and a great place to watch a match.

Went in here for a few drinks and asked if they had premier sports to show a game me and a few friends wanted to see. They had tnt box office on for the ufc. They said they didn’t have premier sports. No worries we thought. Go elsewhere and comeback to watch the ufc when the game was done. Came back after the game to notice Real Madrid v Barcelona was on showing on premier sports… asked if they had tnt box office and another member of bar staff said they didn’t. Apparently they have neither of these channels but also both.

The Tron is my favourite labyrinth, no sign of the Minotaur or Goblin King. But class bar.

Very central pub on multiple levels just off the Royal mile. I'm meeting friends, so it was just a quick drink, but I was quite impressed. Got a table, no problem. People around us were eating, and food looked good. Didn't notice the price, but expect it's not much different from the rest of the tourist places up and down the high street.

Amazing pub quiz - the girl was really great. She was so cheery, engaging and welcoming 10/10

Me and my friends have been coming to the Monday night quiz regularly for the last three years and it’s always been amazing. The quiz is really fun and the question categories change weekly so you never get bored of it. All the staff are great and we’ve only ever had good experiences. Might be an idea to book a table in advance as it can get very busy :)

It is a fun little bar we stopped in as we were in between tours. It is somewhat down below at least in the afternoon and it was a nice place to chill and have a pint or two.

Dunno if it's just because the Fringe was on, but this place was deeply average. Rainy Friday afternoon, freezing with all doors wide open, zero atmosphere, and £7-ish for a very average pint. Lots of other better boozers nearby.

This is an amazing place for food and drinks! We were served by an amazing waitress called Rachel who was so welcoming and kind to us while she took our order. Definitely recommend!

We came in for a quick lunch during a walking tour, shared the offer of three small bites and an apple pie, good food, friendly and efficient fast service - ideal for a quick pit stop!

rachell is an amazing server i didn’t have time to have food but she was so catering to me and my friends helping us choose drinks that we wanted

excellent place to eat in edinburgh. menu from 12 to 16 (2 x £11) large pizza £10, burgers, tacos, Scottish chorizo, etc. We went the next day for £30 for 4. We had very good pepperoni pizza (8 slices), double hamburger and bbq tacos and a bottled beer. Bring bottled water for the girls. no problem consuming ours. They had also offered us water but just in case we took bottled water.

Visiting Edinburgh for the day from Glasgow. Stumbled across this pub and after a pleasant conversation with the bouncer at the door, headed in. Good music and good small plates. Highlight of the night was service from Nathan at the bar. Very friendly and chatty and gave great service. I'd come back to Edinburgh just for that. Thanks Nathan

Cant beat the banter and friendly bar staff. Food menu could be better and quality could improve. Will always vome back for the staff but maybe pass on the food.

Variety of beers and very efficient waiters.

Nice bar with good atmosphere and great bar service. Went for the weekly trivia, which seemed like a nice social event. The woman running the trivia was extremely rude towards patrons and evidently disinterested, which negatively impacted the experience.

The Tron has a good beer selection and pub standards for good prices. We tried the Penang curry and fish and chips, which were both good. Service was helpful and accommodated food allergies. Lots of local and craft beers on offer too.

To be clear, the Tron is not a posh place. In my day there would have been sawdust on the floor. The clientele seems to be mainly students. But it is a very convenient pub for a quick supper before the theatre. We had a Mexican style tapas, and the food was fine, and reasonably priced. The free beer was a welcome bonus! (Sign up online)

It was early evening so had a nice chilled pub atmosphere, which I'm lead to believe changes to a lively night location! I had nice Asahi whilst watching the IPL.

Good prices and good eating and drinking. Thursdays and Sundays there is 2x1 on pizza. I recommend visiting if you have a low budget and want to eat delicious food and drink some beer.

I highly recomended this pub to those travellers who wants enjoy some good beer and a great Edimburgh experience.

No reviews on the advertising section at the bottom. On the upper part, pizza not good, kebab with meat not great... There was no one there and we now know why.

The staff were very friendly and professional and the food was amazing.

Been going along to the Tron bar now for year now, some friends and I would regularly go for the amazing Tron Quiz. The staff are always lovely, approachable and helpful. The food is always good and arrives in good time. And the events are always fun and a good laugh, particularly the quiz and kareoke! I will continue to go to this bar well into the future, as they continue to supply good times!

I have been coming to the Tron for several years now. The food is fantastic, the drinks are equally brilliant and the front of house staff are across the board fantastic. I can see myself coming back for many more years from now. We’ll worth a visit if you want value for money as well as friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Excellent bar! The staff were really friendly and the drinks really cheap! My boyfriend couldnt decide on which beer to try but Ryan the bartender was quick to help out and suggested the local brew 'tennents'. I'll be recommending!
