Kleinbund fine, a really rustic pub. With the countless things on the walls you can always find something new and you won't get bored.

Always an amazing time at Dirty Dick’s Pub. I took my parents here while they visited Edinburgh and it did not disappoint. They do a phenomenal nachos! Even better with a vegan haggis. We also ordered the soup of the day which was sweet potato and lentil, it came with garlic bread and was a great portion. If you’re looking for somewhere with character, good drinks and even better food (huge portions!) then this is for you.

Typical and very popular pub. We tried the steak pie (good) their nachos (fantastic) and the fish and chips (very good) We went back twice, it's just a shame about the girl at the counter, not very kind, but it's worth stopping by.

Pleasant atmosphere, incredible decoration, simple-nourishing and good cuisine. Correct price-quality. Good time in the establishment

Having been to Edinburgh hundreds of times I've never set foot in the place before but it's now probably my favourite pub. Bar staff for great and spend the evening with various visitors. Great night

We were totally amazed by the food , it looks like a little hole in the wall and it is . The atmosphere is what you would expect from a Scotish Pub and We Absolutely loved it!!! The Steak Pie was so good.

Typical Scottish pub, wide selection of beers all very good, highly recommended. Unfortunately I didn't get to taste the food.

If you are looking for a Scottish pub experience, you won't be disappointed here. First time tried haggis here, fit for a king and delicious. The vibe is out of this world and bartenders are extraordinary. You cannot overlook this place when you come to Edinburgh! ✨️

Didn't eat here but had a drink. A pub with surprises. Remember to look everywhere - floors, walls, ceiling because there is something to see everywhere.

Good selection of whiskeys, which is to be expected in a specialized place. To tell the truth, we went in because it was one of the few places that didn't show football and we stayed for a long time because it was very nice.

Lovely place amongst many in the area. Friendly service, real ale, super pies. The not so wee dirty fries is not for the fainthearted.

Amazing food. I ate the fish and chips and it was super crunchy and tasty. My partner had the vegan haggis and it was also very well made. Some tourists but also some locals. atmosphere pretty authentic. I can recommend this place.

This place is a cosy gem with great selection of whiskey.

A unique name for a historical pub with lots of good ole-fashioned atmosphere, friendly & knowledgeable staff, and good beers + GREAT whiskies! No it's not fancy, it looks old (surprise - it wasn't built recently, or faked to look old - it IS old), something one may wish to see and expect in Edinburgh, where thank God not everything is new, or a plasticky fake copy of "old". Best thing about the place? The staff, nice people with plenty of drinks knowledge. Will definitely be back. It's not huge inside, but on a rainy day, just the spot to dash into for a drink - or three.

Best fish and chips we’ve had. Good beers and drinks too, and my friend had a vegetarian burger that was excellent too. Normal Edinburgh prices but excellent quality and quick service. Will defo be back.

More than recommended site. Food of 10, great service, everyone very friendly. To try the typical fish and chips and haggies, the place is perfect. I would definitely return without hesitation. Normal price, somewhat more expensive than other places but the food and service are worth it.

Went in for a coffee. This simple request was met by bemusement from the staff, coffee us obviously not a regular request. The did come good though, a cafetiere was produced, and an excellent coffee was had. Lovely looking and atmospheric interior.

A top pub! Fast and excellent food Top service - the waitress spoke French, our little bonus. With the splendid weather we were able to have lunch outside in the sun, in this pleasant pedestrian street Go there without hesitation!

City centre pub which is hugely popular with both locals and tourists. Quirky interior, good food and good service. Fairly small and dark but a good atmosphere with music playing through the sound system. Doors open out to Rose street when it's warm merging the outside and inside seating areas.

Entering this typical and characteristic pub you take a step back in time. The stone furnishings and floors make the atmosphere unique. To try.

We are older people visiting from the USA and we loved this place. The atmosphere is wonderful. The cask beer is great and, if you prefer, they have a nice selection of standard beer. Our fish and chips were wonderful. The burger tasted a bit like meatloaf, but that was true at another place in Scotland. We highly recommend going here for an authentic local pub.

This is obviously a local’s favorite which is why a tourist should sneak in. The decorations are amazing, the beer selection is fabulous, the fish and chips are very good and the people are nice. There is outside seating which gets some sun on chilly days. The employees hustle to help but it can get very busy especially compared to other nearby places which means the customers are happy. Be sure to sample the cast beer. We liked the IPA.

We had a lovely experience!! We got three burgers, a pint and three half pints, we tried our first whiskey here and the stuff was so nice and helpful in our choice. They had us whiff it and once we chose it they checked in with us on how we liked it. We also got a nachos platter and a typical dessert with a glass of Scottish wine. The pub itself is very awesome, it has fairy light strung throughout and the decor is unique!

I have never seen so many flies in one place. Makes you wonder how hygienic it is. Would recommend a deep clean, including in the glass bins (and keep a lid on them). Could hang fly papers up overnight. Using the aerosols not good for health
