How many people would think of heading to a furniture store for lunch? Well, Cobbs is a café on the top floor in a corner of Martin & Frost and many others seem to have discovered this place as well. There is inevitably a queue and for lunch with about 100% tables full, but a fairly fast service and turnover. A one way system, tables well spaced and sanitised with staff waring masks so all sensible precautions being taken. They serve a good cup of coffee and have nice specials for lunch like the avocado and poach eggs as well as plenty of regular choices. You are given an order number when you pay for the food however no number for the table so staff are wandering about with plates of food trying to locate the correct table, a minor criticism in an otherwise smooth and effective operation.

STaff here work really hard to ensure that customer expectations are not only met but exceeded. With a great and imaginative selection of breakfast/brunch/lunch and homebaking options, plus amazing range of hot and cold beverages and absolutely brilliant coffees served in a mug(not a paper cup!) I could not recommend this little in shop cafe more. IN particular, the daily selection of scones! But be warned - go early or mid afternoon to avoid the long queues since this place is deservedly popular!

He estado en Cobbs muchas veces en el pasado, así que me aventuré a tomar un rollo caliente y un café. Mi café con leche estaba bien caliente (nada peor que un café tibio), y pude ver al personal limpiando las mesas y sillas después de que cada una estaba vacía. Muy reconfortante de ver. ¡Me quedé por un segundo café!

Lo informé al servidor que no tenía nada que decir y ni siquiera recibí una disculpa u ofrecí mi dinero si no estaba con tanta prisa habría presentado una queja formal (que tengo la intención de hacer en breve)El personal es tan desagradable que ciertamente no malgastaría mi dinero aquí otra vez

Café americano y café con leche plano ordenados con mi amigo. Traído a la mesa por un joven que era un poco indiferente cuando mencioné que mi blanco plano era la mitad del tamaño del americano. De todos modos, resultó que Luke estaba bebible y lo bebí en unos minutos. Mi amigo apenas había tocado el de ella. Llevé mi taza vacía al servidor y le dije que no hacía suficiente calor como para desear que respondiera "LOS BLANCOS PLANA SIGNIFICA SER ASÍ Y BEBER RÁPIDAMENTE"Bueno, ¡eso es nuevo para mí! Ahora puedo tener una caliente por favor! ? ¡Me lo trajeron de mala gana con una cara amarga unos 15 minutos después! Mi esposa y yo vinimos aquí para almorzar una tarde de un día laborable.Ordenamos en la caja. La chica que nos servía parecía querer estar en otro lugar y, en este punto, nosotros también. Su actitud era horrible, grosera, inútil y en general gruñona.El precio era un poco caro para la sopa, el panini y 2 tazas de té 15. 70Tenía bastante esperar para nuestra comida.Sin embargo, tengo que decir que la comida era deliciosa, no me puedo quejar. El olor a café y bicarbonato es un ganador seguro de fuego especialmente cuando has recorrido esta gran tienda, pero optamos por la sopa caliente y pan crujiente que era "Souper". El servicio también fue rápido y curiosamente el té y el café se trajeron a la mesa evitando así el atasco en la caja registradora que siempre me molesta. No demasiado ocupado tampoco, así que tengo que recomendar este café.

Lovely cafe with a great selection of cakes and scones. Staff were very friendly and we didnt wait too long to be served. It was clean coffee was hot cafe was quiet couldnt ask for more

Este es un café limpio, brillante y espacioso que es parte de Martin & Frost. Es ideal para tomar un café rápido y un refrigerio mientras sale de compras. Recomendaría los bollos caseros encantadores, cálidos, si llega cuando abre la tienda. Un buen café y un personal amable, sin duda lo recomendaría.

We always come here for our scone as always lovely. However today I had my cheese scone but so disappointed as some kind of herb has been added and found it not very palatible. Should not have been advertised as a cheese scone!

I come here regularly for coffee, the cafe is always clean and the staff very attentive. The food always looks freshly prepared. I have been here in the morning for their breakfast rolls which do not disappoint!

I had tomato and basil soup with a warm crusty roll. Soup was lovely. Not sure why the pumpkin soup was made with chicken stock though. As a vegetarian I love pumpkin soup!

Good selection of snacks, homemade soups, scones and cakes reasonably priced and good portions pleasant staff and good service

We like a coffee and a scone. My wife is a coffee snob. Needs to be in the right kind of cup. Scone needs to be just so. Get my drift. She thought this place was ace. Say no more!!!! Go there.

This is the fourth visit for brunch, and much less enjoyable than before. Service quite friendly. Food was OK and nicely cooked, but bread roll was like sawdust and clearly from a freezer, suffering from freezer burn, disintegrated on plate, Coffee much too strong

Buena variedad de comida para todos los gustos. Sopas, patatas asadas, etc. todo con gran panini/inusual rellenos. Gran tartas y personal amable. Las mesas son bastante pequeñas, así que si estás ida y cuatro una de las pequeñas mesas es un poco angosto, pero eso es mi única queja

Nice friendly & helpful staff however our food was very poor. The Brie quiche was solid & overcooked resulting in dark brown pastry. The brown sub roll was stale but the pork & stuffing was a good portion size. Would never return.

We had been here before and on this occasion we were very disappointed. One of our party is coeliac and we therefore requested the soup to be served with a gluten free roll. To our surprise the waiter deposited the soup with a half hearted apology served with normal bread. Total waste of time and we will certainly not be returning. Obviously they were not aware of the problems this could have caused

We've had lunch here many times. Their staff are extraordinarily friendly and the food is always good. Yesterday the staff were utterly indifferent. I ordered a chicken mango white bread sandwich. Our tea arrived ages before the sandwiches with no hot water so it was too strong and lukewarm. I was given a large sub type roll overfilled with mayo. I scooped out 5 teaspoons of excessive mayo and ate a little of my horrible filled roll. After waiting so long I couldnt be bothered sending it back. It's always unpleasant eating in cafes where no one cares about the customers.

Ok it's not on the tourist trail but for anyone shopping at Fort Kinnaird you could do a lot worse than stop off here from all that retail therapy for a pit stop coffee and cake or lunch.I had the excellent carrot and coriander soup after a mix up when it emerged the advertised pork rolls weren't available but profuse apologies were conferred with a very welcome and equally tasty complimentary cake. Martin & Frost have struck upon a great means of attracting custom!

Cobbs is kind of hidden away in Martin & Frost furniture store on the first floor. It's much further away from all the other eateries at Fort Kinnaird. But it's worth visiting even if you arent thinking of buying a sofa! We visited at lunchtime and had a soup and Sandwich combi. Very tasty leak and potato soup served in an old style camping tin mug - with bread! Then cheese and red onion sub. My son had pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. Including drinks lunch for three cost about £25 which we thought wasn't bad. The staff were exceptionally helpful and professional. The only reason we didn't score higher was that they forgot my wife's drink which we had to ask for but otherwise very attentive. Cafe was busy so it's obviously popular which isn't surprising as the food was excellent. We also bought some tray bakes to take home. Very tasty. I'd say go out of your way to visit and you shouldn't be disappointed. Some how we managed to come home with some fancy candles too that we apparently needed! They cost the same as the lunch!!!!!

Lovely cafe upstairs in Martin and Frost. Gorgeous cakes, big scones and home made jam. Nice light spacious surroundings and quick service. Some hot meals available, soup etc.

Waited 30 minutes for two breakfast rolls.Apology given & a free cake but I'd rather have had prompt service.Could be a while before we return.

Always serves food up to the mark with a variety to cater for all tastes, efficient staff with a relaxed and charming manner.

This is a great place, we never even knew it was here. In the furniture shop having a look around and noticed they have a tea/coffee shop are, so went to try it for a wee pot of tea. Superb, what a find!! There are a few nice places in the Fort to go for a wee tea or coffee, maybe even a biscuit or scone. I think now the bar has just been raised a bit though. Great service, I would almost say outstanding service. Very friendly staff only too keen to help. I can't comment on the quality of the food other than the wee biscuit I had. However the plates of food being delivered to other tables looked superb. Certainly no complaints from us at all regarding our tea and wee snack of a biscuit. I think we will have to return to sample more of what's on offer.

Tattie/Haggis pie really deep filling and Tuna/Mayo panini with side salad. Very fillingand tasty. Service very good and quick and very clean .

Super place to go for coffee in store at Martin & Frost. Food is excellent an hot. Good selection to choose from the Pork Sub is delicious. The staff are so friendly been in 4 times and really enjoyit. Such a relaxing cafe. At kinaird park go and visit.8

I have been a few times now. This café is to be found in the Martin and Frost store. First time I had Coffee and cake. The café was very quiet. Next visit I had sandwich, there is a choice of five sandwiches. Also a hot food bar. Then I had soup on another occasion. The food is brought to your table, so no wrestling with trays. The staff are always friendly and service is with a smile. The café is always clean. Help yourself to cutlery and napkins. There is a nice touch with a small water server you can pour as much or as little as you like. A nice touch is the little bowl of sliced lemon and you can just pop a slice in your water if you choose to do so. There are high chairs. There is a little set of kiddie table and chairs. There is a quiet corner with sofas so if mums want to breast feed in privacy they can. Loyalty card also helps, I like the loyalty card as you do not have to go back 9 times to get your free coffee, with this one you only need 5 stamps to get you free coffee. Clean toilets in store.

This is a lovely wee find situated on the top floor of Martin and Frost/ Sterling furniture store at the edge of Fort Kinnaird. In amongst the congested madness that is the Fort, this quiet corner is a great place to just unwind and have something lovely to eat. Good for parking too.The cafe is small with plenty seating. Today is my third visit, once again a cheery welcome and nice chit chat with Chris and Kyle.Lovely choice of home baking cakes and scones. Freshly made and tasty sandwiches.Fresh coffee with a beautifully designed bear complete with paws on the froth on top. How perfect is that?What gives this place the tops marks are the staff. They go well over the usual polite nice day, enjoy your food kind of chat, they are cheery and charming. Either Cobbs does excellent staff training or they are very good at picking out their staff. Well done.
