I discovered the wonderful Tea Garden at Comrie Croft when out for a drive. Easy parking. Very friendly staff. Beautifully presented, delicious cakes and bakes. Extremely clean and tidy. Lovely, lovely coffee. Great to be able to sit inside or out. The staff are wonderful with nice chat and local information. Will definitely return and can recommend highly to everyone.

We stayed over at the hotel on a Sunday and had dinner within the restaurant. The hotel staff were fantastic (Blake deserves special recognition - thank you!), and our room was well equipped, clean and comfortable. The hotel is located centrally so it’s easy for access to local amenities. The food in the restaurant was excellent and great value. The place was buzzing so we were so lucky to have booked in advance. The locals clearly enjoy the restaurant and made for a wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to anyone for meals, drinks and stays.

We visited the Quiach for dinner with our dog when staying at a local caravan park. The Quiach had a really warm, welcoming atmosphere for us & the dog who was greeted with pats, treats & water. Service was really exceptional. Menu was basic, a few of the small plates were sold out but the food we did have (fish & chips with a side of onion rings) was really good - well presented, big portions, well cooked and tasty. Would recommend.

Absolutely brilliant weekend. Family time with sister brother in law, brother sister in law and sister’s sister in law and husband. Well that’s a bit of a tongue twister. We had a fabulous weekend together. Weather wasn’t great but the service and meals made up for it. Food was of the highest standard. Good quality and healthy home made recipe’s with plenty of it made our visit all the more special. Staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Very clean with an emphasis on Covid 19 safety precautions. Every member of our group agreed that they would certainly go back for another visit, so we have booked rooms for the same time next year. A big thank you to the staff who worked so hard to make our stay so enjoyable. Margaret Anne.

Excellent Hogmanay meal in the Meikle Restaurant - a somewhat different way of serving people (as usual over the festive period Crieff Hydro did not explain anything), but the speediest Hogmanay meal I have had there in decades and very good food and service. Why the low overall rating therefore? Cast out of the Meikle as never contacted by Festive Catering to make a restaurant choice despite chasing all through October, November and December (told to email them again on the 28th, they responded they will get back to me in a week's time!). In fairness, the Food and Beverage Manager did see us, but simply to reiterate the policy that in such a huge hotel a table of 3 would scupper everything in the Meikle; there was no explanation as to what had gone on in (mis-)handling our booking, nor was any apology offered. A poor handling of a complaint with no attempt at remedy. A waiting list for the 7:00pm Meikle sitting for example? Exiled back down to the Terrace restaurant again this evening I fear ...

Me and my partner went here for brunch first thoughts was it was a lovely place inside but after being seated and another table came we realised that no table was cleared of the last persons plates etc even tho some staff were doing nothing, however we would like to compliment the 2 hardworking young men preparing the food, after we ordered our food arrives and it is not the correct food that was ordered the person who came over with the food went back and brought us the right food whilst stating that we were in the wrong and said “it is your food “ even tho it was a completely different thing, my partner also wanted a scotch egg so ordered the ploughman’s platter that includes a scotch Egg it arrived without and we weren't told they had ran out on ordering it also never came with the cheese it stated on menu

We have visited the Royal Hotel many times over the years and it seldom disappoints. We recently had a two night stay celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary. The staff were amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. Although some staff shortages are causing a few difficulties it did not impact greatly on the service provided. Thanks again.

We visited last night as a big group, 8 adults and 8 children. From when we booked the service was excellent, prompt, friendly replies and we preordered with ease. We arrived and were seated quickly and drinks orders taken. Our waiter was exceptional, nothing was a hassle and he was brilliant with the kids. The food came quickly and again I would say was fantastic. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the experience overall was excellent. I would 100% return and would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

We were staying at The Hydro, so decided to take lunch at the clubhouse on one of the days. A nice relaxed atmosphere, very clean, and friendly waiting staff. It’s just the job if you only want a casual snack.

With no room at the Meikle (it is part of the Festive Package), rather than a 3-course meal there, we were packed off to the Terrace on the 30th December. A somewhat lonely experience it has to be said (circa 7:30pm and none of the 4 tables adjacent to our were taken). It is not exactly a like-for-like experience either as you get a £30 per head allocation (I think unchanged from last year, unlike the upward drift of Terrace prices?). This, plus the fact that you also get a 10% service charge (unlike the Meikle) ensure you will not get a 3 course meal in the Terrace as a "Meikle substitute". Ah well, let's see what the 31st December brings including which restaurant we are in "Haven't you been emailed" asked Crieff? Of course not: Crieff Hydro's steely silence remains. Come on Crieff Hydro: a little communications about what you are up to would not go amiss, rather than "Our way or the highway" (interestingly, put that bluntly in effect with another party we were chatting to who are staying and never received any communications either). Tell the customers what your changes are and we can comply. Better still, tell your staff then they can tell us rather than leaving them in the position of having to say "We've no idea what they're doing".

The cafe has a quirky interior. We stopped for a coffee - was ok but weak for our taste. I also had a cheese and pickle toasty which was very tasty and came with a simple side salad. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We felt the price was a little high.
