Excellent service excellent food catering for 2 children 4 adults and a dog. 🐕 yearly visit to Crieff second visit to the tower Will return and recommend

While staying in Crieff we visited The Tower on two occasions. The first was spur of the moment for dinner. We were given a table in the bar. The staff, service and food were amazing. Our second visit was pre booked for Sunday lunch when we were seated in the restaurant. Sadly it seems as the most foot fall happens in the bar you are forgotten about in the restaurant. After waiting for 20 mins I went to the bar to get drinks and the Sunday lunch menu, which must have triggered the memory we were in there with others. The order was then taken swiftly but then waited 25 mins for the food, which I have to say was the biggest most delicious Sunday lunch ever, so every cloud. The Tower is a great place for just a drink or eating, they have a garden, dogs are allowed in the bar and the staff are great, maybe just need a couple more on Sundays.

We were here on August 4th at 6:15 p.m. for dinner with family who live in Crieff. We have been here before and always have a good meal - nothing fancy, but always good. Tonight we had vegetable lasagne (14), Mac & Cheese (13), Fish & Chips (15), and Highlander Burger (beef and haggis - 16). All were done nicely, hot, and portions were very generous. Washed down with a pint of Caledonian Best (4.4), Thistly Cider (4.5), and Diet Coke (1.6). Great service from Blake! As I said, nothing fancy, but always a good meal and you leave quite full!

A delicious very late lunch or early dinner on a Sunday afternoon at 4.30 .an enjoyable experience from the minute we entered staff welcomed us with a very cheery outlook. I had brisket of beef a loaded Yorkshire pudding with 5 veggies cauliflower peas fresh carrots sweet potato broccoli 🥦 and if course roast potatoes .The Yorkshire pudding was just perfect even better than my granny made , one of friends had the veggie option with roasted veggies and the other had a lovely plate of roast chicken tucked into her Yorkie which looked as delicious as my beef so maybe I'll try one of them next time .to be fair we actually didn't have enough room for our puddings but we're not quitters so now relaxing at home on a Sunday evening full of lovely good quality food cooked by someone else

We booked quite late in the day but delighted there was a table available. Food was tasty but could have been hotter. The macaroni was dry but was replaced with a much better saucier version when we complained. Only disappointment was that the waitress didn't know what some of the meals were, what came with the meals or what drinks were available. She didn't even offer to go and ask which we found slightly strange. Lots of other restaurants in the town to try.

20 wonderful ladies had lunch today and the greeting on arrival, service, and the food were all amazing. I have visited before and the food is always extremely tasty, locally sourced and deliciously presented. The atmosphere is always great - homely and welcoming. I am so looking forward to visiting the other venues in the group.

Visited for lunch, we both had sesame chicken strips, macaroni and the pulled pork loaded fries. Everything was delicious and service was spot on would highly recommend and will definitely be returning next time we are in the area!

Lovely warm, friendly, comfortable, cosy venue. Delicious food at a reasonable price. I had chicken curry, mum had ribs, hubby had nachos. All excellent. Super service from Dan and friendly waitress. We will Definitely be back.

Popped here for a meal in off chance on our golf holiday, I had the fish and chips with a pal we both commented how nice it was, others had loaded fries and nachos all plates clean so we all enjoyed

What more can I say about the Tower. Fantastic rooms, Wild Orchid especially! Exceptional service and tremendous food. Nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended.

I have to say, as I said to the very professional waiter on the evening, that this was quite possibly the best fish in breadcrumbs I have ever had. The crumb was crisp and not at all greasy and was just delicious. So 10/10 for me. My wife had the battered version but I think slightly jealous when she heard me enthuse about my fish to the waiter ha. I had the haggis for starter which was also very nice and sticky toffee with ice cream for desert. All the above were delicious so like I say 10/10 and look forward to heading back soon.

Nice pub, nice pint of Brewdog punk ipa, good food. What let it down for us was the incessant music which was jazz/dance and not at all in keeping with a pub.

Popped in for lunch with my Mum. We were attracted by the signs for a beer garden. It looked lovely but there were quite a number of steps down to it and my Mum can't manage those. We both had Cullen skink to start with and then split to mussels and a BLT. Everything was very tasty and well-presented. My BLT was very nice with freshly cooked bacon, tomato salsa and grilled bread - much nicer than I was expecting which is always good. Service was very good and it was nice to say hello to the visiting dogs in this dog-friendly spot. Would recommend and will be back.

5star service Amazing food . Everything was just perfect. I had my classic fish n chips n my friend had the soup . Can’t complain as was beautiful. The fish batter was the best I’ve tasted in a very long time . Washed it down with a couple of pints . My friend also enjoyed her desert of ice cream .

Just wanted to say a massive thanks to all at The Towers for a great family meal! There was 21 of us there from all ages 6 month to 80 years old. Given the numbers I booked in advance and the team were really helpful in accommodating our numbers. As we were dining on the few days / weeks of Scotland summer. On the day The Towers called to asked if we wanted to dine inside or out. We opted for our, and staying in the garden til late! Then moved into the bar to finish the night. Food was a great success, great comments from all! Would definitely recommend!

Great place in Crieff and beer garden was brilliant, esp on a roasting hot day. Staff made a real happy environment...always ensuring we had all we need and always a smile on their face, creating a pleasant atmosphere! Would recommend to anyone...and very dog friendly so you don't need to leave pooches in the car!

Had a very pleasant lunch here, black pudding and soup starters, fish qnd fajita wrap main, lovely young girl seemed to be the only one waitressing but she done a sterling job. The only downside for me is they allow dogs and the resident dog was allowed to roam freely...at one point under our table as we ate, it's a personal preference but that's not for me as I'm very wary of all dogs but if you like dogs and good food I would recommend it.

Booked the Tower Hotel Crieff beer garden for a birthday celebration. Asked for tables undercover, not a problem they booked 3 for our party and were more than happy for us to decorate the space with birthday banners etc and to bring a birthday cake. Nothing was a problem for the staff, they were amazing, very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The place was busy but all outside tables were perfectly socially distanced. The food was very good and ordered by scanning an app on the table, really simple and great service.. would definitely go back and highly recommend!!!!

Myself and my partner decided to visit the pubs of Crieff as part of our stop over and unfortunately due to the helpfulness of the staff at The Tower we didn’t make it past the first pub. We stayed and had a few pints more than planned while the barmaid provided us with some helpful tips and advice on places to visit on our trip. If you do visit also try to say hello to the resident dog who is the cutest.

We ate here for the first time tonight and we are impressed.Plenty of sanitiser we were made to feel really welcome, the girls serving made sure we had a drink and really looked after us.The food was hot and didnt take too long to come out. I had a lovely chicken burger and my hubby had beef with vegetables all fresh and hot and tasty.We will definately visit again.

Have to say been a few times but never again! I was in the other night for a few drinks with my partner in the garden ordered a pint and so on via the app, drinks came no problem. We had a table booked the following evening, when we turned up we asked if we could sit outside which we were told yes so we went outside but there was no available seats so we walked out side gate and back round! We were given a table in restaurant where there was 1 couple having coffee. We sat there for 15 minutes when someone came to take a drink order!!! 10 minutes later the girl that brought us drinks the previous evening cake to ID both of us ! We are 25 I know she was just doing her job but to serve us one evening and not the next night is ridiculous! Even with that I mentioned that to her and she said I need to speak with my boss and walked off and that’s the last we saw of any staff member for 15 minutes so we walked out and went elsewhere for dinner and had a lovely meal!! Will not be returning !!!!!

We tried this restaurant as it was close by. We arrived about 12.45PM so the place was empty. Sanitizers at the front door,that was a good start. After that it just got worse. The young girl who asked if we would like to sit inside or out. I noticed that she wasn't wearing any ppe. No mask no visor,There was another young girl behind the bar again no mask. It took ages to get a drink to start off with. Then we ordered and I was sorry I ordered a starter,because I was the only one who wanted a starter. Well that took a long time to come and it was only a bowl of soup. So that meant my family had to wait until I finished so they could eat. Again it took a long time before the meals came. The family enjoyed their fish and chips. But I wasn't happy with my meal. The only good thing was that we were getting a discount on our food. But the staff never told us until we seen a Very Small poster at the bar. Will we be back. NO.

Appreciate we didn’t have a reservation but we walked in and asked and the lovely young girl went in and checked for us and said they did have a table. As we were waiting, older staff member (assuming manager) came over to the desk and looked through some paperwork and mumbled something to the girl. The girl justified there was a table for us whereas the lady was not of the same opinion - way to make customers feel welcome!! The girl took us to our table. Both young waitresses were lovely and attentive, older waitress grunted at us to take our things of the serving tray (they weren’t touching our stuff which was great HOWEVER, no staff were wearing masks so that was confusing). No vegan options on the menu which is fine and was expected as it is a pub opened just after lockdown. Comparing this place to others we visited for lunch and dinner, this was by far the poorest and I wouldn’t return for food again. Great they are doing the dine out for less scheme but I would still say check your bill. I checked ours only after we left and although I could be wrong, I think I was overcharged for the kids meal and dessert. The young staff were great and I hope they continue to flourish though and the pub part looked really welcoming.

Mediocre food and poor social distancing meant that this was one of the worst places we’ve been to in Crieff. Staff weren’t wearing face coverings and no screens in place. Groups of people inside at the entrance without face coverings, although there was hand sanitiser st entrance and contact details were taken.The lentil soup was totally tasteless and more like a purée than a soup. The meat wrap was ok. We didn’t stay for coffee and we won’t be back.

Our first dining out experience on our holiday to Crieff. Booked in easily and given our table. Waitress did not appear very knowledgable and seemed to make quite a few mistakes with our order. Wrong drinks arrived first time, then questions about my sons food order. All seemed a bit chaotic and unorganised but given the fact that they had just reopened after lockdown we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Food took quite a while, but again not an issue as happy to sit and chat. Food was tasty and hot but not mind blowing.During our visit, we noticed that staff were attempting to seat other customers right next to us, less than a metre away. Thankfully non of the customers accepted but felt a bit uneasy at the prospect of dining so close to others.The only thing that really let this place down was at the end of our visit, after confusion regarding cash or card payment, we witnessed a member of staff making a rude facial expression after dealing with our payment which really put us off.

We were staying at crieff hydro and while out walking, came across this place. Staff were very friendly, & the set up they had for social distancing to keep everyone safe & abiding by the rules, for ordering food/drinks was great. The beer garden was nice, & big, and the young staff were a credit to the place, so friendly & obliging and worked non stop. The pizza & snacks we had were fantastic. Highly recommend for dining here.

We had a fantastic meal at the Tower, very reasonably priced and tasty. Great wee play area in a lovely well spaced out beer garden too. My only complaint is that the lady who greeted us at the front desk, I assume manager, was very curt and not very welcoming, however the young girls serving us, more than made up for that and were very pleasant and helpful. Overall a good experience, but could be friendlier!!

Okay just spent an overbite whilst visiting family in Creiff. Given the first weekend out of lockdown the Tower had done its upmost within the rules to make us feel comfortable, welcome and safe. I deeply respect the challenge they have in the new norm and they were marvelous. Yes no indoor eating but the beer garden was fabulous with IT table ordering . The staff were lovely and the service was great. The room was large, very comfortable bed, lovely bathroom with power shower . Amenities and a studio kitchen if required . Really great stay. Breakfast was not available yet but the town had placed a large marquee over its lovely square where we could buy carry out bacon rolls and hot coffee and sit and read the Sunday papers . Well done Creiff for showing it can work going forward with the new norm..

I booked a meal at The Tower for a family birthday meal. I spoke with Ryan via email to book the meal and he was very helpful, we were able to drop off our cake and decorations at the Restaurant the day before our booking and the table was set up with the decorations for our arrival and looked great.The food was amazing. We had a mixture of meals between us and nobody could fault it. The puddings were also fantastic. We all loved it and we will definitely be back. Great food and great service. Would highly recommend.

had the Sunday roast could not eat it as the beef was hard to eat and one side of it was raw worst roast dinner ever.my husband had the steak pie and there was a sharp bone in it complained to the waitress and had no response. the only good thing about the meal was the pudding.

We were a grown up family of 5 and had B&B at the Tower. We had 2 rooms, Heather and Thistle, good sized rooms with comfy beds and good shower rooms. The rooms were clean and fresh. The breakfast was good and the service excellent. The rooms are directly above the bar and restaurant. It was a busy Saturday night and it was a bit noisy until about midnight.

Ate my poor quality meal with my jacket on as it was so cold, very poor service from staff. I have been several times due to the high rating but will not be back and cant recommend the tower to anyone. My mum never wanted a straw it was put in her drink and the straw stunk of perfume. Staff didnt bother even asking how our half eaten meals were. Totally dissappointed yet again.

Have been staying in Crieff once a month for the past 6 months with work. Never really venture out of the hotel as many restaurants on site to eat. Really fancied a change and headed into town. What a find, super hospitality, staff that were genuinely interested to talk to you, a rarity living in London!!. We visited here in 2014 and it was fab. We visited again this week and the food is just as amazing if not better. The restaurant area is lovely and relaxing and the staff are so welcoming. Prices are great especially when you see how much you get and the quality is fabulous. Can’t recommend highly enough (even better than Crieff Hydro where we were staying!) Will definitely be back

Had really nice 2 course dinner in here. Food lovely, staff pleasant. However, decor drab tired and looked dirty. Leaves you with the impression if front of house is like this what is the kitchen like? For that reason I wouldn't return.

We had an amazing experience here at the Tower on our first night in Scotland. The food and quaint setting were only outshone by the kindness and expertise of Mairi. She provided excellent recommendations for food and for our remaining days in Scotland. Cheers to Mairi for her exceptional service and the Tower.
