We were staying at The Hydro, so decided to take lunch at the clubhouse on one of the days. A nice relaxed atmosphere, very clean, and friendly waiting staff. It’s just the job if you only want a casual snack.

You can reach the Clubhouse along a wonderful walk through the estate of Crieff Hydro starting from the hotel or drive to the Clubhouse along a single track road. The seating area is small with some outside if the weather permits. You order at the counter and pay for your meal and it is then brought to your table. It did take quite a while before it arrived but we weren't in a hurry. Toasties were excellent and the milk shakes were stunning. Good coffee. Staff were friendly and added to an enjoyable occasion. Played crazy golf after our lunch which was great fun.

Great venue and wonderful views to sit and eat and enjoy. Open to non residents and those who want to have something to eat and drink after a walk up the Knock

On an recent visit to Crieff myself and 3 family members stopped off at The Clubhouse for some lunch. We ordered 3 carrot and coriander soups and 4 Sandwiches. On asking if it would be possible to have one of the sandwiches without spinach we were told this wouldn’t be possible as they are pre-made. The soup was nice and came with a slice of bread and butter. The bread was fairly hard. The sandwiches however were not the best. The bread was hard as if they had been sitting out a while. They sandwiches came served with some crisps. We were fairly disappointed by the sandwiches. There wasn’t a great deal to choose from on the menu. In total for 3 soups, 4 sandwiches and 2 rounds of tea/coffee/fizzy juice the cost came to just under £40. Quite disappointed by the menu and food and don’t think I would return to eat there again.

We have eaten here before whilst staying at the Hydro under the meal plan pre-purchased and were not disappointed so when we visited again this year and following activities at the Action Glen we popped in for an early tea at around 4:40pm. We ordered drinks at the bar and asked for the menu only to be told food service ended at 4:30pm as they closed at 5:30pm. Disgruntled, we had a drink anyway and sat outside to admire the scenery. Imagine our surprise when at 5:10pm three golfers sat down, nodded to the bar staff and ten minutes later had burger and chips served to them. On returning to the Hydro we asked to speak to the Manager who established that the golfers were on prebooked play and dine deal. However it does not make sense to stand in the kitchen waiting for the last golfers to arrive to be fed, they could easily have cooked for us in that time. Secondly, this is Half Term week at the end of May/start of June. Inflexible short hours are not going to make the establishment any money and capitalise on the high footfall in the area at the Action Glen Activity Centre. I really hope they consider their serving hours for future as the limited facilities whilst over that side of the complex are a negative to the hotel.

Very reasonable priced, quick efficient service with a smile. Standard clubhouse/bar favourites on offer portions are large and food is good, no complaints at all.

Booked here for lunch on a family short break. Food was very good, delivered pretty quickly too. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Kids were very pleased with their chunky fish fingers. I'd eat here again but check if they have space as it xan be quite busy if there's a golf event on.

After a glorious morning on the course a quick lunch at the 19th was in order. Drinks at the bar were limited but refreshing. For lunch we ordered 3 portions of nachos - 1 cheese and 2 chilli beef. Simple yes? .....NO!! We were warned of a 20-30 minute wait and after an hour I enquired at the bar. Sorry, we have been 'rammed' and only one chef just another 5 minutes. I expressed my displeasure at having to wait over an hour for some nachos to be produced and the young barman went to the kitchen. Unbeknown to the kitchen I followed en route to the ladies and here him so ' who the f@+k said that' and some mumbling from the barman, followed by 'you're no my f*&king boss'. Not great language to be used when there were guests as well as young children in the vicinity. When the meal was eventually produced, the wait was full of apologies and I did ask him to inform the chef that his language was not appropriate. Ultimately, the nachos were decidedly average especially as the guacamole was missing off my cheese nachos. Safe to say we'll not be back and as a local ..... that is potentially a lot of custom.

We enjoyed our golf and went in for lunch and it was very good. A large menu that, in my opinion, would suit most people. The service was great and the atmosphere was too.

As a birthday present from my wife we both stayed overnight at crieff hydro hotel.Situated on a beautiful estate with lovely grounds, which included all sorts of sports, activities, pony rides, bike treking, hill walking, tennis courts, and much more, inside they have a spacious swimming pool and sauna and spa.We had a lovely 4- course dinner in the lovely restuarant. Overall the staff were very courteous and friendly, and we would hesitate to return here.

Visited in between quad bikes and mini quads, on two occasions this week. Each time we visited, the Club house was spotlessly clean, staff very friendly and helpful and hot drinks and snacks good quality to warm on a wet and cold day. Can thoroughly recommend especially the hot chocolate

The Clubhouse may look a little rundown but it makes up for this with its brilliant service and great value tasty food. We've stayed at Crieff Hydro twice now and on both of our stays we've eaten at the clubhouse at least twice. Dogs are allowed in which for us is fantastic. It's a nice walk from the Hydro up to the Clubhouse and I hate walking without the dogs so them joining us for tea is ideal. The food is typical pub food but it's made to a really high quality. The nachos are my favourite, they are a huge delicious portion. My mum, who is a particularly fussy eater, was not happy with the mount of fish in her fish and chips. The waitress offered her a replacement which my mum declined as she'd eaten it all and enjoyed it. When we paid the bill we discovered the fish and chips had not been charged for. This, in my opinion, goes above and beyond our expectation and goes to show how keen the staff are that you enjoy visiting the Clubhouse.

My wife, daughter and I were spending two nights at the Lodges at Criff Hydro. As our daughter is only 2 years old, we wanted some where quiet and not within the main hotel to eat. This clubhouse, is ideally situated at the top of the resort, with fantastic views. We had a table next to the window. The restaurant was quiet, which we found surprising, as the food was excellent. We ate, steak, chicken and our daughter had soup. The food was well prepared, clearly fresh and good portions. We also enjoyed sticky toffee pudding and pancakes. They were lovely. However, what made the evening special was the excellent service by Lee, who was professional and corteous throughout the whole meal. He is a credit to the hotel and an example of great service, which a number of waiting staff at the main hotel should emulate. Thank you Lee.

Stopped by for lunch after a long walk with our dog as had seen from website that dogs are welcome. The décor is fairly basic but there was a good choice on the menu. We opted for Haddock and Chips and a Ploughman’s. The food was very good and tasty and service was good too. There is an outside area for seating next to the final golf green. We opted for the covered balcony area. Would visit again.

Visited the Clubhouse for lunch with a vegan, a vegetarian and a gluten intolerant. The staff were wonderful. Couldn't do enough for us. Were able to advise which foods we could eat and offered alternatives i.e. GF rolls with the soup. Nothing fazed them. Excellent place for lunch in fabulous surroundings. Will be back for sure.

Probably because the weather was so wild this weekend, went to the Clubhouse as it is dog friendly ....and they were....supplied bowl of water for the dog without asking for it. However when we tried to order food - only soup and sandwiches available - not even toasted sandwiches. (although I did see another guest get chips!)The egg mayo sandwich was very basic, wholemeal sliced bread with a dollop of egg mayo - no salad, no frills and a small bowl of soup - no dressing, no croutons, nothing to make them look appetising............Probably lovely there in the summer and when there is a full menu, but very disappointing this weekend

We ate lunch here after clay pigeon shooting basking in the glorious October sunshine on the veranda. Our two dogs were well behaved and welcome.Hubby had a burger and I had a chicken burger. This was a real chicken breast but sadly wasn't particularly flavoursome. The burger was deemed to be 'okay'Not a bad meal but overpriced for what it was

We visit the Clubhouse quite frequently as it is dog-friendly and has a great view. The food is fairly basic, nothing exciting but normally good quality.Today I had the Ayrshire Ham Sandwich, which is served on Campbell's bread which is a definite plus point, however the actual ham was very poor. It looked and tasted like the wafer-thin ham you get in a supermarket. Very watery and salty, not what I was expecting from a quality brand like "Ayrshire" ham. I did complain to the staff and they assured me that it was Ayrshire at showed me the packet which was "80% Ayrshire Shavings", so I suppose that technically they were correct in their description.I don't think that the proud people of Ayrshire would particularly want their name associated with this product.

All I wanted was a baked potato with salad !!They do not "DO" baked potatos I was informed. The Menu was not geared towards accommodating vegetarians. Prices for portion size were also rather mean.I found the Restaurant Manager's attitude to myself as a single traveller rather condescending. My previous visits to the Crieff Hydro have always been most pleasant.

Dog friendly! Manager brought our dog a bowl of water which was great as it was a warm day.Manager looked after us well, very pleased with her customer service. Not sure how long we waited before we received our main course but we were just relaxing.Food is mainly burger, grill things but there are sandwiches and fish & chips. Our food was good and lovely view. Will be back when in the area. We only left as another small group who were louder came in so it wasn't as relaxing.

The clubhouse has a fairly limited menu with lots of burgers and a few things on the grill but that's about it. It is great for a snack at lunchtime but not much of a selection for an evening meal. The staff are excellent and really friendly and there are lovely views from the clubhouse and an outdoor area which is nice for sitting out in the summer. It's quite a small place so better to book.It is quite draughty sitting by the windows in the section on the other side of the glass partition so take a cardigan if you are going in the evening. It is reasonable value for money. Main courses £10 to £12 and steaks £17. Give it a try.

At last a dog friendly place to go in Perthshire. This part of the world has been sadly lacking in these facilities but thankfully the Crieff Hydro have saw sense and made this place available. The fayre is varied and is typical of your Brewers Fayre selection but be warned there are not many tables (8 in all I think) so try and book ahead.Opening times are reduced in Winter so always check with the hotel and if its snowing in that are forget it as its a single track road about a mile away from the hotel. All in all a good place to go, if you have Fido with you and want a nice lunch or dinner. Only Complaint I had was that it was a bit cold and could do with a bit more heating

Almost 5 pounds for a cappuccino for which no order has been taken at first, for which you then have to wait more than 20 minutes, with a spoon and sugar missing and, as a highlight, a 10% service fee appears on the bill? As beautiful as it is in Gleneagles - unfortunately we didn't like it at all...

We were enjoying a nice drink in the beer garden one sunny afternoon, when a youth started shouting & swearing at us because we were English (which was funny in itself because none of us are 100% English). The locals were appalled at his behaviour & the landlord immediately ejected him, however, it cast a shadow on our visit.

Went for lunch yesterday with my parents and dog on arrival our table was clearly marked ours and there was already a bowl of water awaiting my dog I thought this was super sweet and thoughtful, the waitress we had was brilliant with my wee Jack Russell she gave him a few biscuits and attention he loved it. Service was quick and the food as always was delicious. Lovely warm welcoming place to eat out and we always choose here when we go for lunch. Great menu lots of choice.

I give up, I really do. Have stopped using the restaurant because the food is pretty poor and the staff are surly at best. This morning I wanted to purchase a food item which they have stocked for years. First young girl I asked couldn't understand what I was asking for, second one said they didn't stock it although she has served me in the past and the third one said it had sold out but they might be getting some in in a couple of weeks. Several other local people have mentioned how rude the staff were. Hospitable is not a word you can use for this place and yet years ago it used to be good on all counts.
