The Quaich Bar in Perth & Kinross

Went to Crieff for a short break and came here for a few drinks and some food. Really clean. Friendly staff. Very chatty and welcoming. Good pub grub choices on the menu. I had scampi and my wife had chicken fajita wrap. Can’t fault the place.

Great food and super service - definitely recommend trying this black pudding and apple fritters 😋.

Popped in this evening for a family dinner. Lovely lady serving on who took brilliant care of us and excellent food - very tasty and the kids loved it!

We were heading to Pitlochry and as it was mid afternoon needed a nibble. Passing through the town we parked up across from The Quaich, glad we did, what a gem, food was homely, well cooked, and fresh. Atmosphere was lovely and the staff welcoming and friendly. If your looking for a place to eat and are nearby seek it out you won't be disappointed.

This is a great place. Dog-friendly and with really good pub food. Our server, Leanne, couldn’t have been more helpful or pleasant. We had burgers and hot dogs with chunky chips and they were delicious. Highly recommended 😀

We were on holiday in Perth and a little bored so we headed to Crief. We had a really late lunch at The Quaich.The woman who served us was absolutely lovely and took our details for track and trace on entry.Once sat down we looked at the menu and selected a chicken fajita wrap for myself, a hotdog without ketchup and mustard for OH and 2 diet cokes.We didn't have long to wait, and the food was lovely. The chips were nice and crunchy and the fajita wrap was packed full of chicken and veg.The hotdog came as ordered (sometimes if you ask for sauce to be removed it is forgotten) and he really enjoyed it.Good value for money as all this was just under £21.Made up for all the rubbish meals we had up to this point.

Surprisingly good food in a cosy cafe in Crieff. We went here because of Trio advisor recommendations and so glad we did! Fab service and fresh cooked good food. Highly recommended!

Visited here a couple of times during a stay in Crieff. Staff are great, beer is good and the food equally so. If you have a dog with you then this is a must-visit location. Gravy bones are in plentiful supply.

Three of us visited The Quaich for lunch. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff who, after noting our track and trace details, offered us a choice of seating and escorted us to our table, leaving us a decent amount of time to peruse the menu. I ordered the steak pie, my wife the cheese and bacon burger and our friend the fiesta burger. The staff member took our drinks orders at the same time and brought these quite quickly. All three meals were substantial and well cooked and presented. The member of staff who assisted us was friendly, without being intrusive, at all times.

We had a very enjoyable evening in this friendly bar - very good pub grub served with a smile. We both had steak and ale pie which came with seasonal vegetables and more chips than I could manage, even though I asked for a small portion. Covid awareness was meticulous.

What a great pub, good atmosphere and clientele all so friendly , staff excellent and attentive , Donna was amazing and made sure we all happy and felt safe and kept the place going . Thankyou.

After visiting the Tower and having a terrible experience we tried our hand at The Quaich Bar. Who were more than welcoming and warm. Had an amazing meal and was given a larger portion as I did not want veg with my steak pie. Was delicious with great prices, staff were all safe, place is spotless and cosy. Would highly recommend.

Food was great, reasonably priced and the areas were clean and provided hand sanitiser at the door. The girl serving was really chatty and friendly, sad I didn’t catch her name. People we met also said the same. Dog friendly.

We have been avoiding eateries since COVID-19, but we were so hungry and The Quaich looked inviting and so we went in and are glad we did.The menu was a bit too American for me. I am not supposed to eat pretty much everything on the menu, but I relented and had a hot dog with chips. My wife had hot dog too, but the upgraded version with a different type of sausage. Both were delicious. The service was friendly, welcoming and efficient. We asked some information about the town and surroundings and both the waiter and waitress were informative and helpful. The staff wore masks and I could see that COVID regulations were very much being enforced. We had to sanitise our hands on arrival and give our name and phone number in case of a need for contact tracing. After reading the menu I offered it back to the waiter, but he suggested I keep it in case we may want desserts later as he would have to dispose of it if he took it back. All requirements things gave us a sense of security. Next time we are in Crieff we know where to go for the best service.

6 off us came here for a family birthday lunch. Very friendly service and food was great!! Few things were not available due to the oven being broken but we all managed to find something off the menu. My only criticism would be that it was rather chilly in there and my daughter had to keep her coat on the whole time.

We popped in here one evening whilst staying in nearby Comrie Croft (about 5 miles). We travel with kids and a dog, so finding somewhere to eat is often challenging! Despite this we were met with a warm welcome from the lady behind the bar (Lee-Ann I think was her name), who was more than happy to seat us in the bar area, and give the dog a bowl of water and a biscuit.The pub was quite busy and we were told there may be a wait for food, but only had to wait 5 minutes before ordering. The menu has an American slant with burgers, hot dogs, and dirty fries on offer amongst other things.The food took about 10 minutes to come and was freshly prepared and very tasty! The pictures I have added show half eaten plates of food as it was gone before I could take any pictures! Desserts on offer are ln some of the locals who were friendly and welcoming.Service was attentive but not overpowering and the bill was accurate, coming in at just over £65 for 5 people including drinks it it a reasonably priced family friendly restaurant!Definitely worth a look, and a meal, if you are in the area.

I rarely have cause to provide such a negative review because thankfully such encounters with such rude bar staff are few and far between. Why this barman works in the service industry is beyond me. He simply has no idea of how to speak to customers. Perhaps his "humour " is "lost in translation ".

We could not book into our first choice of venue so having checked out the Quaich on this site we rang them and boked a table for 7pm on a friday to be told that they had no bookings on that night so that would be ok.Friday Night no bookings(alarm bells) however on arrival to this lively bar we recived promt polite service and a good value filling meal ,so well worth the visit and we will be back again .

Welcome log fire on a freezing cold night. Food was lovely and bar area full of locals who are only to happy to sit and chat. We only popped in for a quick bite but ended staying all evening. Would definitely recommend. Excellent staff.

Popped in for a coffee when out and about with our dogs and ended up staying for lunch. Cosy at the bar end with a wood burning fire going. Nice cheery welcome and a drinking bowl put out for the dogs. We ordered haggis balls with mash and a whiskey sauce and a bowl of dirty chips with chilli and salsa. Everything was very tasty but my wife really loved her chilli and said it was one of the best she had tasted.

Went for lunch Monday 28th October recommended by The Meadow Inn as they were closed. This was the worst haddock l have ever had, the batter was three times thicker than the haddock hence it wasn’t cooked tasteless served with frozen chips discoloured french beans chopped chives and crinkled peas. My wife’s sandwich was supposed to be toasted but it was cold in the middle and the salad dressing festering on the top. We always eat at the meadow inn when visiting Crieff and it’s always good. If I was the meadow inn I wouldn’t put my name to the Quaich Bar. Overall the Quaich Bar needs a deep clean, refurbished and a good chef.

Passing through Crieff and stopped here for lunch. Great food and lovely welcome. Have come back again on a day trip Out.

Whilst visiting Crieff hydro we popped into this quite unassuming little gem. Super waiter and an even more super lunch! The pizza fries a must. Delish. Highly recommended!!

We popped into The Meadows for a late lunch but the kitchen was closed till 5pm. The bar staff suggested The Quaich as it is their sister bar, and served food all day. We are so glad we went becuase the lunch was amazing. We had NYC meets Scottish style burger and dog, the flavours were incredible, as were the onion rings with cajun mayo. What made the visit though was the nice atmosphere and the very nice waitress, who was always smiling, very welcoming, and could not have been nicer. Wonderful lunch all round.

We were recommended to eat at The Meadows but, they were that busy they could not take us. The suggested we should try their 'sister' outlet, so we did, and it was very good - the Haddock and chips was especially good. To be recommended in fact.

Visited for a quick pub lunch, would highly recommend as the menu has lots of choice! Asked for gluten free options and was glad to hear there were quite a few choices including the burgers. Ordered the steak burger which was the best burger I’ve had anywhere before, and my boyfriend had one of the chicken burgers which he also said was very good. The service was also great and they couldn’t be more accommodating!

Great food we stayed in Crieff one night and we came for lunch. The food was fantastic and the service was really good. We came back at night for some beers !

We were staying at Crieff Hydro last week and went here for dinner one night. We had our 8 month old baby with us and the staff were very accommodating getting us a table with enough space so that we could keep him sleeping in his pram beside us. The menu was very varied and the food was fantastic! We shared a deep fried mars bar with ice cream for pudding and it was so nice! It is great that they also allow dogs in for any others staying close by on walking holidays! We really enjoyed our meal and will definitely return soon.

Dropped in for a drink on a Thursday afternoon. Warm welcome from the friendly staff. Good drinks; nice modern Scottish design. Would definitely return.

We spent the last night on our road trip in a nearby B&B; and needed to get dinner. We popped into Crieff as it was the nearest town and came across this bar.

The food is very good , they don't like you to be bored with the same menu , so changes a bit .. the burgers are amazing

Popped into this wee gem while visiting Crieff and was very impressed with their new menu. The food was brilliant and the service was excellent, would highly recommend the Quaich Bar for anyone in or visiting Crieff.

Being new to Crieff, I walked High Street and found this pub. It felt so comfortable I went back 6-7 times to warm up or have dinner. The wood fire is inviting, the food is good and the atmosphere is cozy. I highly recommend it.

We ended up in the Quaich Bar on New Year’s Eve at the recommendation of a local. This is a modern, warm and trendy bar where everyone seems to know everyone else. Dogs are also welcome as there was a quiet little party going on between our four-legged friends (all well-behaved). We enjoyed a couple of rounds of local gin but had to move on elsewhere as not many establishments were serving food on this party Hogmanay. I would be happy to return for dinner.

This was a lovely place to pop into after a long day on the hills. We had coffee and cake and some of my friends had a small refreshment. The young lady was very cheerful and happy and the service was good. A must if you are going through Crieff.

Dropped in to get out of the rain for a quick afternoon drink. Nice decor and atmosphere and food available As they were advertising a signature cocktail evening we went back later.Superb drinks created by Anthony

Popped in here for lunch as we were staying in Crieff and out having a wander.

Hadn't been to the Quaich for at least a year as it seemed to have lost direction after a change of ownership. Absolutely delighted to see it return to past form and even improved with delicious food prepared by a new chef. Black pudding and apple fritters were exceptional. Great fresh food all prepared with care and attention - no fast food here! Bar staff extremely friendly and courteous.

We were lucky to arrive on a cocktail Friday and I can honestly say it was the best Espresso Martini I have had. Excellent service and great atmosphere and a warm welcome from staff and locals alike! Would highly recommend.

Popped in for some light refreshments with my husband and 2 very young children. Lady at the bar was lovely and friendly. My 3 year old wanted ice cream, so we ordered the Trio of Ice Cream Sundae and I got the Cheese Platter. My son recieved the most disappointing, lack luster ice cream sundae I've ever seen. It was served in a Pyrex side dish and it consisted of 3 very small scoops of cheap Neapolitan ice cream (one of each flavour), a blob of double cream and chocolate sauce - this disappointment cost £6. My cheese board was a few pieces of rubbery, flavourless cheese, sliced apple, butter, Branston Pickle and tiny oat cakes - £7. We waited more than 20 mins for these dishes. Very disappointing. Will not be back and would not recommend. Only giving 2 stars as the lady serving was very nice.

Pet friendly (loved seeing locals bring their dogs in while they drank and dined). The bartender/waiter was exceedingly friendly and helpful. My daughter wanted a Coke with Grenadine (cherry) syrup; while that is something she orders easily in the States, Scotland rarely had Grenadine. The bartender said he didn't have any at the bar, but he thought he remembered seeing some in the storeroom, so he left the bar (unattended!) so he could go to the storeroom to retrieve it for her. They had a good selection of food on their menu, and it was excellently prepared.

Just popped in while walking around Crieff, originally looking for a sandwich. Warmly welcomed by the barmaid who was friendly and attentive. After being told the specials we decided on the curry and the mushroom and tarragon pie. Typing this just as I have finished. This is probably the best pub lunch I have ever had. The chips were amazing and the pie was fantastic. Lovely atmosphere and great service! I highly recommend this place. Don’t walk by just walk in!

We walked up on recommendation looking forward for some lunch, only to be told that the kitchen is closed on Sundays. Sad :-(

love this little bar with it log burner been in twice, 1st time had soup and a coffee which was lovely 2nd time arrived at 2pm and was told too late for lunch. Tried to eat another two times but was closed for no apparent reason, this put us off.

Popped into the bar for lunch, the staff were very friendly and attentive, the lunch was excellent value for money and we both enjoyed the bar very much. We would pop in again.

Fairly quiet for a saturday night. We only had drinks but they do food & coffee too. Comfortable, clean but a bit lacking in atmosphere

Personalmente me no me gusta setas por el mero hecho de la textura así que pensé, ¿por qué no probar la sopa? Ver si puedo cambiar mi mente sobre ellos. Cuando llegó mi sopa que no parecían muy apetecible. era un plato de sopa aguada gris. Cuando lo intenté, eso es todo lo que sabía. Era tan aguado y no sabe que no podrá decir qué tipo de sopa que era. Tuve que agregar mucho la sal para que darle hasta un ligero sabor. Obviamente sólo setas y agua mezclada juntos, bien, eso es lo que sabía como de todos modos.

Enjoyed a nice night before the Hogmanay Flambeaux event in Comrie, starters and mains and 2 drinks each plus coffees. £37 very reasonable. Pleasant ambience and good service. Only complaint was unmannerly customers, not locals. Decent beers, tasty food.

Really wanted to check this place out. Website clearly stated that they 'served food until 8pm' but on arrival at 7.15 was told they only served until 7pm. Nevermind we found The Square - great food and very welcoming!

Popped in whilst passing through Crieff for a quick bite of lunch on our way up to Loch Earn. Dog friendly in the first part (tiled floor and wood burner) which was perfect for us as the pooch could join us. Typical bar food but we both enjoyed and staff were very friendly.

Was in Crieff with 2 teenagers and dog, looking for lunch and came across The Quaich. Clean and warm with a roaring fire, we were invited to sit in the front because of the dog, so never saw the rest of the pub, but was cosy where we were at the fire. Nice, short menu, kids both opted for fried brie and I had the soup of the day which was delicious. Generous steak pie, peas, chips and nicely cooked carrots, large hamburger and chips, and a tasty haggis and mozzarella panini, along with a couple of soft drinks each came to £45, fairly good value,as we were well fed, and had a few games of dominoes while we were there.

Escaped the rain for a bite to eat . Lovely warm friendly bar / restaurant with lovely food and ale would go back in the future

We visited this corner bar due to the Trip advisor reviews. Was delighted with the overall service and quality of food. The presentation, portions, and flavor were unexpected in a pub line setting. As always the prices were low and our dollar travelled far. Highly recommended for the adventurous wanting to try unusual sounding foods that aren't found in the states, as well as picky eaters who want safer dishes.

A pub klasszikus skót menuvel rendelkezik. A kiszolgálás nagyon kedves, ha szerencséd van, akkor a tulajdonos szolgál ki, aki rengeteget beszél. En Highlander Burgert ettem, melyben a hús pogácsa mellett haggis is volt. Nagyon finom volt, bar a marhahúspogacsa egy picit túl volt sütve. Ajánlom a helyet mindenkinek aki erre fele téved.

A good mix of food types offered by this restaurant including traditional Scottish fare not easy to find. We had smoked salmon haggis and a fabulous cold game pie made only once a year for the Crieff Highland Games weekend. Good beers too !

Even though I am a frequent user of the Quaich for its liquid refreshments I have only occasionally had a meal there. With that in mind and the fact that I make burgers for a living may I recommend the Blue Murder Burger which comes with all the trimmings but a beautiful blue cheese melting and melding with the lush meat of the burger. Well worth it and you can wash it down with some class craft ales or malts. The staff are always welcoming and friendly.

Great for food or drinks, a friendly wee bar on the main street, welcomes canines and kiddies. Originally one of the local cinemas. Cool in summer and cosy in winter with the warmth of the wood burner.

We had lunch here, typical local foods well prepared. The service was friendly and efficient. I had a steak and ale pie, very tasty indeed. A decent selection of beers to choose from.

We found this little place by accident. Located on the corner of a street in Crieff high street. Very friendly staff and our Westie was also made to feel welcome. We had a lovely meal.

We visited The Quaich for an evening meal when visiting family in Crieff. Strangely we found that there were few restaurant options to choose from and on local recommendation plumped for the Quaich.Situated on the High Street parking could be an issue but we were lucky and found a spot just down the street. This is a traditional pub which serves good variety of traditional Scottish fare.We had booked a table an on entering were warmly greeted and shown through to the dining area at the rear of the bar. Menus were on the table and once we were seated our drinks order was taken. They have Tennents lager on draft and my pint was nicely chilled with just the right amount of fizz. Between us we ordered a wide selection from the menu and when served it was well presented and nicely cooked. My fish and chips consisted of a large fillet accompanied by chips that were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Absolutely perfectOne of our party was an under five and the team went out of their way to ensure she had something she wanted to eat and to drink even though her choices were not on the menu.We had a very enjoyable meal, no frills, just good honest fare served by an extremely helpful team. It is not fine dining, but if you want a traditional pub meal washed down with some well kept lager then The Quaich ticks all the boxes.Assuming we can find somewhere to park we will be back next time we are in Crieff.

Arrived in Crieff not sure where to have dinner. Wandered from our b & b and came across the quaich. Lovely meal of steak and ale pie and 'special' lamb pie. Very tasty at reasonable prices. Friendly staff..definitely recommend it.

The Quaich Bar è un posto da non perdere per 3 motivi:- il cibo è ottimo, squisito, un giusto equilibrio di sapori e freschezza (imperdibili i bocconcini di brie fritto e la Apple tart!)- il personale è gentile, di quella gentilezza che è più vicina a quella di un amico che ti accoglie a casa propria che non a quella, pur sempre apprezzata, di una persona che lavora nel locale- ecco il locale, seduti in fondo, sul divano (comodissimo anche per cenare) ce lo siamo goduto nella sua accogliente e frizzante atmosferaNon lasciatevelo scappare!

Excellent service, very pleasant staff and delicious food! Traditional Scottish fare - smoked salmon starter, haggis croquettes, a REAL steak pie (not just stewed steak served with slab of psstry!) Fish and chips, but also vegetarian options - Goats cheese salad had a large serving of baked cheese, and a large mixed salad. Syrup sponge was very light, not the stodge of school dinners! Will be back next time we visit Crieff!

Very nice staff, food lovely for people who prefers traditional Scotish food. Haggis amazing. I could have dinner everyday at this place. If You going to visit Crieff You need to go.

After having read other review, we had rather high expectations. However, they offered a rather limited menu, the interior was uninteresting, the food rather bland and nothing provided to keep kids happy (like crayons). All in all a relatively poor experience.

Food was very good service was great, bar staff very friendly and most welcoming ,very easy to fine just in centre of town very nice decor in and out of the bar

Dropped in here for lunch on a visit to Crieff, excellent welcome from the lady behind the bar, Bar was a bit quiet when we arrived,and getting the menu we were discussing it with the bar lady, we found out that she was indeed the owner, she gave us an insight to the buildings previous history.Not one for usually having starters but went for Haggis Bonbons,superb. Main course was an excellent Haggis Burger which was done to perfection, didn't go for the pudding.Excellent food and service, and the bar area had a warm friendly feel to it, will certainly be back in the Quaich on our next visit to Crieff.

Stopped for a far better than it is reasonable to expect coffee whilst exploring. Trudie the dog soon made herself at home with the host and we were all made to feel very welcome.

These guys know how to make an excellent beef burger. Try the cheddar and mustard one and let you mouth go a food party! The chips were also very fresh and tasty.

We were passing through the village and saw The Quaich. It was inviting so we came in. Warm, cosy with friendly folk. The food is bloody marvelous and the chef very skilled in his field. The story of the Quaich is worth hearing.

Stayed at the Braidhaugh Holiday Park and wandered into town on a Sunday night. Wasn't expecting to find much so it was a nice surprise when we discovered this place! Got a table straight away. Service was good. All courses were superb.

A great place to come and sample Scotland in a fantastic wee toon, great drams and brilliant food, overseen by some fantastic people....what more can ya ask for, loved it...

Visited on a few nights for evening drinks warm welcome on every visit but quiet with few customers good value for money and a great range of whiskys will visit on my next night out
