Glencarse Hotel Restaurant in Perth & Kinross

Great little hotel in Glencarsie, very close the the Byrne Inchyra wedding venue (5 min walk), perfect if you are attending an event there, as then you don’t have to worry about trying to sort a taxi late night! Rooms were warm, very clean & modern, shower water pressure was great. Breakfast was included and very good! There’s also a bar here, which is great for having a drinks with friends before walking over to the wedding venue. Bus to Edinburgh airport is a 10 min walk away as well, so very convenient location. Absolutely recommend this place!

Great staff lovely food scots run as i hate going to anywhere its English as they dont talk to you this staff were tops 10 out of 10.

Stayed here when attending wedding nearby at The Byre Inchyra. Perfect location for this venue. Lena was a good friendly host and breakfasts all cooked freshly to order. Rooms on the small side but spotlessly clean and well appointed. If back in the area would definitely stay here again.

Thank you to the amazing staff at the Glen Carse for making my mom’s 86th birthday lunch so special last week. I called them from Australia to let them know she and her friend were booked in for lunch and they went out of their way to make sure they had a great meal and experience. My mom was so delighted to be given a birthday greeting from the server in the restaurant when it was so unexpected. Great work Glen Carse Hotel. 🤗🤗🤗

The hotel itself is really beautiful. The rooms are in refurbished stables. The owner upgraded us to a family room, as I hadn’t realized I had only booked a room with one bed for our family of 3. Comfortable and clean. No wifi in the rooms, though they have it in the main building. There’s a bar and restaurant and an outdoor terrasse for when I imagine it’s nicer out. We had dinner there the night we arrived and breakfast in the morning. Yummy and fresh food. I’m glad we started our trip with an authentic full Scottish breakfast, as the breakfasts just when down from there in the other places we stayed. The place is just off the motorway so there’s a bit of noise but we still managed to take a walk around and there’s some beautiful countryside just behind. Very friendly owner. Even my son said “she’s so nice!”

Fantastic! Came in for a family lunch on Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed everything. Very relaxed atmosphere. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious (good vegetarian options too) Will be back soon!

The staff here have gone over and above for countless occasions for my family. Birthdays, anniversaries, wakes, they're truly perfect and I'd recommend to anybody.

We were staying here for a wedding recently and it was absolutely perfect. The rooms are modern, showers hot, the owners are a total delight and the food is damn good! I even left my suit there like an idiot and she sent it back to me in Cornwall. Seriously recommend. Such a lovely little spot!

I booked the Glencarse for my family who were attending a wedding at the Byre Inchrya. Lena was wonderful with excellent communication. Everyone who stayed at the Glencarse commented on how lovely the staff were, the breakfasts were a great start to the day and the rooms were very comfortable.

We married over the summer at the nearby Byre at Inchyra, and some of our wedding party stayed at the lovely Glencarse Hotel. We also booked a dinner with them on the night before our wedding. We had 24 people, and Lena was so, so helpful and kind with making this work. We were able to approve a set menu and pre-order the food ahead of time, so as not to overwhelm them. The food was *incredible*! Everyone remarked about how good everything was. It was a great start to our wedding weekend. :)

What an amazing little gem of a place! The rooms were lovely, location quiet. A huge thank you to the locals for making our stay so memorable, it was lovely to feel like part of the community. This is a lovely hotel to stay at. We stayed with our family for two nights. The rooms we're very clean, beds slept really well and the breakfast and dinner we're fresh and tasty. After we flew back home I realised I had left a possession that is dear to my heart at the coffee place next to the hotel. Lina made the effort to send it to me overseas. I really appreciate it! That goes even beyond their excellent service. Dear Lina and collegues, Thank you for a great stay!

We stayed here for 1 night as we were going to a wedding the lady who runs this hotel is lovely always smiling very helpful the wee cottage we stayed in was brilliant we loved it rooms spotless everything you need breakfast in the pub in morning was excellent no complaints at all very tasty we really enjoyed our stay so thank you for making us feel so welcome we highly recommend this hotel its first class and very relaxing

One of the best B+B's I've been to for a very long time. - Very friendly and attentive hosts. - By far the best food I've had in a B+B. - Small local pub on site, great selection of drinks. Next time I'm near Perth and staying overnight, it'll be here!

Strange how you live in glencarse all your life and still get treated like rubbish like your an outsider very cleckish was asked to leave because I went with a friend from perth

What a fabulous night we had at the Glencarse! Mike and Lena’s hospitality was second to none. Breakfast and Dinner were both delicious with the sticky toffee pudding being a particular favourite! Rooms were gorgeous and beds so comfy. We look forward to visiting again

As part of our mission to try out local restaurants we haven’t tried before we booked a table here for a Sunday evening. The menu has plenty of choice and is very reasonably priced. We went for the nachos to share which were great and then the steak pie which was packed with super tender and tasty steak and the fish platter which was a lovely selection of prawns, salmon and haddock. There was just room for a portion of the homemade profiteroles to share with hot chocolate sauce. The food was really delicious and beautifully presented. The lady who served us was warm, friendly and made us feel incredibly welcome. Highly recommended and well worth a visit.

Just home from Glencarse today & it’s lovely, very clean & comfortable rooms. The food was excellent. Staff couldn’t do anymore for there guests very friendly & welcoming we stayed 2 nights as attending a Wedding 😊... Will definitely go back 👍

We had a wonderful meal at Glencarse on Sunday night, every member of staff was lovely and accommodating, took our temperature on entry and tables well spaced out. Food was outstanding, we ordered from limited menu (due to covid) and specials menu and happy bellies all round, and the best Strawberry cheesecake I’ve ever had. We phoned last minute for a table of 6 and they fitted us in no problems. Highly recommend a visit. Perfect stop off whilst travelling or if staying nearby.

Dropped by for dinner - simply amazing show cooked beef and sticky toffee pudding. Fantastic restaurant and very reasonable prices.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant and pub were completely booked but they were able to accommodate our group of eight. A few of us had the pepper steak special and it was the worst steak I ever had. It was so tough that I couldn't even chew it, let alone eat it. Others had the surf and turf and said it was very good.

Owners are kind enough to let us take our well behaved greyhound, George, and eat in the bar, there is a restaurant / hotel (no dogs). Food is wonderful, freshly cooked and I imagine sourced locally . There is also a grassed beer garden area. Would recommend booking ahead if you are taking a dog.

We booked the 5 rooms at Glencarse for 4 nights as we were attending a wedding at the Byre at Inchyra.Everyone was so pleased and satisfied with both the accommodation which is all new and the hotel where we ate .The rooms are either twinbedded or double and come with all the amenities you come to expect.The restaurant was superb ,the menu varied, a very wide choice of great starters , mains and desserts to choose from and really fairly priced .Then there were the breakfasts such a varied choice again ,everything so fresh and delicious.The locals in the bar were a great crowd and we would love to return to explore the surrounding area

Lovely cosy pub with outstanding home cooked food, definitely worth the very short diversion off the A90 if passing by. Try the apple pie, amazing.
