Enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Dreel Tavern last night. The food was superb, the service was friendly & attentive, and the general atmosphere was welcoming and a real home from home. We couldnât have asked for more. Thoroughly recommended!!!

We were so disappointed that this once fantastic ice cream shop has now changed to âMr Whippyâ!! No flavour selection unless you chose the tubs mentioned in the previous review. My niece chose an Oreo milkshake which was OK at best and extremely overpriced at ÂŁ6! Will not be back!

Arrived with 8 people for Saturday lunch at 12.30 to find it shut. No notice or reason given for closure. Automated response to telephone call (leave a message and we'll get back to you); no one did. Saturday opening hours 12.00 - 21.00 (website). What's going on?

Very average food. The menu promises more than it delivers. Our grilled haddock in garlic butter had to have been frozen as the plate was swimming in water when it arrived. To be fair one of our party enjoyed the steak and pastry pie. My advice is opt for the Shoregate instead if you enjoy good food.

Went for a toastie with a friend. I couldn't believe that we received 2 slices of the cheapest nastiest supermarket white sliced bread and cheap cheese, and just that! No salad, not even a scrap of lettuce, and the coffee cups are half the size of anywhere else. It's obvious they keep going as they have a captive audience of holiday makers in the summer, and golfers nearby.

What a fabulous wee find. Popped in for a bite to eat. We had the soup and a sandwich deal. Sandwich was loaded with lovely chicken breast meat bursting out from the slices of bread and the soup was like your Grannyâs homemade lentil, brilliant and delicious. The cakes looked amazing as well. Maybe next time. Lovely staff. Lovely peaceful atmosphere. A fantastic experience and very reasonably priced. We will be back. Donât know why we didnât try this place before given that weâre locals. Lol Itâs a credit to the Owners.

We went for lunch there with our dog. Dogs arenât allowed indoors in the cafĂ© but the weather allowed us to sit outside. Ordered coffee and salad for lunch, which was devine. First bite send me to FOOD HEAVEN. So appreciative of people who made food with love, I almost was in disbelief how good it was. Finished it with gooseberry soda and the gooseberry frangipan which was exquisite. Canât wait to go back!

Bonito lugar, agradable sorpresa

Popped in for fish and chip. Offered a table quite quickly. The tables are solid park bench type, not the most comfortable. We were served by a trainee, who had minimal personality, and no smile. We had 3 orders and drinks, and twice had the waitress to return to confirm the order. Appreciate we all have to learn, but a smile on returning to make sure she got order correct would probably have helped her... The fish and chips come with bread and butter. This must be the cheapest bread around, looked unappetising (Didn't eat!) Most fish & chips come with a portion of tartar sauce, but not here. The meal was good, no complaints there, but everything is for a quick turn round. Been, won't be going back, bit of a let down.

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat whilst walking the coastal path from Shell Bay. Was good to find this cosy and warm pub on what was a miserable day weather wise. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the soup and toasties were really tasty. Toilets were clean.

Seriously surprised by some of these reviews. Popped by yesterday with my kids so we could try some local fish and chips as a takeaway. They were absolutely delicious and cooked fresh to order (smoked haddock and chips). Kids demolished the lot! And that's after a free lolly from their witch đ Staff were so super friendly that I was threatening to leave my youngest to help with the dishes. Definitely not the cheapest chippy I've had but it is what it is, you get what you pay for. All the prices are clearly stated before you order any food so the bill shouldn't be any surprise at the end. Thanks for a great lunch. When we are back over that side we will definitely pop in again đ

Took a rive down thought it was a nice night for the newly hour drive down. Cue system was good had food in around 10 minutes. Chips were nice but sauce and salt was very limited that they had put on the food. Unfortunately the macoroni cheese was not nice. It dont not resemble any macoroni cheese have had before. There was no sauce to it pasta shell's almost dry. No cheese threw it or over the top. There was also a strange taste to the dish. The dish definitely did not taste anything like cheese. I would not order this again.
